Your makeup is especially flattering here ladies! Hailey, how do you get your hair like that?! Is it just braided the night before or do you use a triple barrel curler or something?! Mine never looks like this!
I can't believe I'm so LATE to the table lol 😬 but damn those Pat McGrath lipsticks look BOMB! I prefer a traditional lipstick over a liquid so yeah, I want them ALL too but I probably can't afford even a SWATCH of one...*sigh* 😫😂
hiya guys!! love your channel and all your vids!! i feel a bit dumb asking like this, but i have a quick question: (and i am sorry but i dont know your names)
what blush is the girl wearing the white shirt wearing? we have similar skin tones and i am LIVING for that blush!! i must have it!!!
In order for Estée Lauder to feel relevant to younger customers, they need to drop Estée and just become known as Lauder and revamp all product packaging in a uniform, cohesive color way with perhaps matte finishes with interesting metallic details.
You know what really bothers me about packaging that I've noticed in the past year or so, is that almost all brands give you the same amount of lipgloss in a tube as a liquid lipstick. Here's the problem with this, they're about the same price, yet you go through the gloss literally 10x fast as liquid lipstick. I've been wearing gloss more to keep my lips hydrated when I don't use liquid lipstick and I swear, I bought one of the Chanel lipglosses and I went through it in a month, same with a standard MAC lipglass. Where that same amount of product in a liquid lipstick would last me probably 2-3 years if you used regularly and a hell of a lot longer if used sparingly. That is a HUGE difference. I feel brands need to be more aware of how much of each product you use and package it based on use rather than amount in general. I remember the Wonder Woman collection MAC did 6-7 years ago and they had the glosses packaged in these XL size tubes and it was fucking amazing. I want them to carry glosses that size all year round. I want to buy them like that. The doe foot was twice as big too and omg it made applying it 1000% easier. I didn't have to double dip, enough was on one swipe for both top and bottom lip. It was brilliant. But they didn't do it ever again and no one else has done anything like it. I still have the glosses from that collection and considered refilling them with shades similar because the application was so good. It's the same with eyeshadow, there are many that don't get used up within a year, let alone two. We don't need as much as they give us 90% of the time. It's frustrating as a consumer, having all these products that end up being wasted because they over compensate. Ironically enough, I feel brands would make a lot more money by giving us less, so we'd buy more often. But what do I know? /random dissertation
You girls should do a video on samples (ex. Eye shadow or lip stick samples that you would get in like a subscription service such as ipsy or Sephora play) we all have those mini size of products that we don't know what to do with!
I agree re: Too Faced campaign where she reapplies makeup in the morning. I had a friend who would intentionally wake up early after hooking up to essentially put a full face on. She expressed her mixed feelings about it but, paraphrasing, felt obligated. Pleeaasee don't feel this way. I don't have any clever words of wisdom at the moment, but please don't feel obligated to do that.
Down w a chest bug.. glad to be watching you two dishy babes✌🏾 Colourpop used to do more edgy cool tone shades.. no more. 😐 I'm excited for the Dose bullet lipsticks. I've seen pics all over. Pretty gorgeous. The cool tone Nut cracker shadow palette and light blush/highlighter are my go to's.. all a matter of preference. 💜 a man who prefers you w makeup is not the guy you want to marry.. agree w you.
Poutcase... I like innovative makeup packaging but not when the packaging looks like a childs toy! I hope Colourpop restocks I would love the highlight and eyeshadow palette. Suprised me how good the pressed eyeshadows are!
A few months ago there were strawberry flavored Kit Kats in U.S. grocery stores running in a limited time "flavors of America" run. The entire stock of the my grocery store was sold out of them. I've had the ones from Japan strawberry, matcha, and red bean flavors, and there were tasty.
I used to love their elderflower collection n now they only have eye gel and it's mostly alcohol!!! N I miss their oils too! The grapefruit one was amazing!!! I haven't even thought to look at body shop in forever! I remember garden botanica stores and the body shop stores being competing stores in the mall!
@Beautynews Deciem only sold a minority share to Estee Lauder and the founder is still in control of the company. They needed the money so that they could fill orders for their stockists in a timely manner. The hold up for The Ordinary foundation is that they don't have the pumps in stock leaving me to surmise that perhaps they needed the money to pay for their packaging shipment. I do believe this move was not about selling out, but getting the financial backing to support The Ordinary brand. The quality of the ingredients and probably his unwillingness to cut costs leaves a small profit margin causing production challenges. I can only imagine that this decision did not come easily to him knowing the backlash it would cause. Without looking at his P&L reports, from an economic standpoint, I would categorize The Ordinary as a philanthropic brand due to high quality at a below affordable price point.
**And please note that this is based on what the owner has said and my own personal experiences as a business owner. I could be totally off base and only time will tell if this partnership will benefit the brand and its consumers.
chromat was on the fashion fund. Anna wintour got a bunch of fashion people together: distribution, funding, designers, branding experts, and struggling or new or locally successful designers apply to the fashion fund. the panel review the submissions, which are super creative. you are not getting selected if you don't show your creativity in your submission, and they selection the brands that appeal to them in some fashion way. they then get mentorship and tasks to show them and if they have everything needed to be the next big thing. it was shown on amazon last year. the winner or winners get a ton of money and a lot of support.
her company was very well received by the panel. the founder of chromat is very engaging, creative and talented. I am please to see that she is getting some love.
omfg deciem sold to estee lauder holy shit I finally find a bunch of stuff I love thats cheap and now holy f**ck why why why, I think maybe because how big they got and couldn't keep up with demand so they needed an influx of cash perhaps, really hoping the ceo's statement is true
on the lancôme matte lip shaker, it comes off sheer if you haven't shaken the bottle enough. it's meant to make a click click sound when shaking, you need to put a in a little effort - sort of annoying. i got one as a gift and was also confused initially..
Go Natura! As a Brazilian I always found their body care products specially awesome, they use natural ingredients, sustainably sourced, employing locals in amazonia, and they create very unique stuff. I hope it rubs off in the body shop line that is just not impressive. I would actually like to see Natura's own line becoming more international.
I know Too Faced were trying to make a statement about not testing on animals with their bunny makeup bags, but isn't it a bit unfortunate that the bunnies do not have eyes on them? Someone did not think this through...
Those drinks are called chuuhai. Chuuhai means shoochuu highball. Basically shoochuu, which is a traditional alcoholic drink in Japan, mixed with carbonated water and some flavour. I loooove loooove them. My favourites were 🍓 and 🍒. And there are not only those, other brands offer quite interesting flavours every season. sometimes the new flavours would last one two weeks on the market.
How was I able to live without beauty news???
Your channel is so informative and so entertaining. :D
One comment about the Zoeva Palette:
It reminds me a lot of the Dose of Colors Ice Cream Palette.
There are definitely similarities.
🍸🍷🍹🍶 Enjoyed the episode. :3 Lots of good stuff. Personally I don't agree with all the Deciem drama. Estee Lauder didn't buy Deciem, they purchased a minority share in the company. They did it because Deciem exploded in popularity practically overnight and wanted to stick their finger in the pot. I ,for one, think it was a smart business move on Deciem's part because this way they can continue to do what they have been doing all along, but with more upfront capital to be able to expand and meet demand. It took a fucking month to receive my order of The Ordinary Colours foundation when it came out and that was annoying as hell. It pissed a lot people off that they had to wait so long for their orders to be fulfilled for those foundations, and even right now, it's still on back order. Any other order from the deciem website not containing those foundations still takes a week to porcess and ship. The demand is too high and they can't really keep up at current capacity. The people complaining over Estee Lauder owning a minority share are the same people that got super pissed over the delays in their orders being processed. You can't please everyone...
What is up with the fact that there is at least one horrendous magenta shade in every eyeshadow pallet nowadays!? the Zoeva pallet looks so wearable with pretty neutrals and a couple of fun yet flattering pops of color but I just can't with the bright pink. 🍷🍷🍷
I love you ladies so much breath of fresh air for me!!! Im excited about your chats in things that have happened !!!! Also you both are sooo gorgeous !! Im brunette and my best friend has blonde hair lol so I love it and can relate!!! Kat your tattoo is beautiful
