Obviously, one input controls four characters, doing this in MAME is always fun... In response to the negative comments - Yes, this video isn't supposed to be a skill showcase or anything similar (far from it) - it was one of my first recordings when I was playing with the settings to use Fraps with MAME. It didn't take any effort, I spent 37 minutes (and a few more hours converting/uploading) doing it, I didn't care and still don't care much for it, but for some reason it got a lot of views. ******** If you want to see a very good one-coin playthrough of this game, check out this (not mine) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVHqusfB71c

X-Men playthrough Konami 4-players arcade game -Not MAME-

37:31
4 people playing X-Men, 1992 from Konami. This video was captured from the original arcade board using a supergun. Sorry it's not 6-players, but I don't know how we'd upload a direct capture of that to Youtube. I suppose it's theoretically possible with enough video editing software and equipment.

M.A.M.E. of the Game: The Avengers, X-Men, Superman, Spider-man & The Punisher

01:12:06
It's the ultimate superhero team up in this episode of M.A.M.E of the game. With all the hero movies from both DC and Marvel we wanted to go back and play some of the classic arcade games featuring some of the biggest heroes from both franchises and we did just that. We started out with the classic Avengers game then moved on to the arcade his X-Men before the Tatio rendition of Superman, the hard to find arcade version of Spider-Man and the ultra-fun Punisher game from Capcom. So sit back and enjoy our journey through classic superhero arcade action with what we hope his witty commentary you would expect on this series and if you like it please let us know and like the video and leave some comments. X-Men: Arcade - (PC/Mame Emulator) - Walkthrough - Прохождение

35:29

Demonstration of 6 player X-Men using multiple monitors in MAME with a dual monitor Big Blue setup

02:23
The left monitor is 1920x1200, and the right monitor is 2560x1440. To keep the aspect ratio correct, the larger screen had to run at 2560x1200, which is why there's so much pillar and letterboxing.

Konami's X-Men created several innovations for the genre, including the ability to hit fallen opponents to prevent them from getting back up, as well as a character-specialized 'mutant power', which could clear the screen of enemies, but also reduced the player's health. The game is fondly remembered by those who played it for its fun, addicting game-play and colorful graphics. However, it is also sometimes criticized for its wooden voice acting and often ungrammatical script ('I am Magneto, Master of Magnet'). Bill Toups holds the official official record for this game with 830 points on 06/11/2004. King Records released a limited-edition soundtrack album for this game (Konami All Stars 1993 - KICA-9016, 9018) on 21/12/1992. A X-Men unit appears in the 1998 movie 'The Replacement Killers'. - UPDATES - Differences between the 2-player Japanese version and the US version : * The introduction cut-scene and some of the other animated cut-scenes contain Japanese subtitles. * During game-play some sentinels appear with a white and pink coloring, if you defeat them, you can pick up either an energy power-up or a mutant power-up ball * Whenever you use a mutant power attack, you'll use up a power ball before losing energy for using another attack. in the US version however, you lose energy first, then you'll be able to use a power ball. * Stages 1 and 4 start a little bit ahead of the US versions. * The robot pterodactyl that is a mid-boss in stage 4 appears a lot earlier in the Japanese version. * The US versions have the "Winners Don't Use Drugs" screen. A handy thing about the 6-player versions is a longer screen ratio. This is handy for the fact that there is more physical screen space for the play-field, making some fights easier, since you are not trying to see enemies off-screen so often, and allowing Konami to do the correct feel for the cut-scenes, since they didn't have to 'chop' the sides off the animated parts. Due to certain issues, both the 2-player and 4-player cabinets, a rare occurrence, had character selecting, while the 6-player cabinets forced the selections. - STAFF - Chief producer and director : Lee Visual designers : K. Game Nexus Mame Review X-Men (1992 Konami) Part 1

16:30
In this video I do a review of X-Men released in Arcades in 1992 by Konami. This game is a classic beat'em up game which features 2, 4, or 6 player play depending on which version you played. It was one of the many games I remembered playing when I was young and and glad to finally look back at. Enjoy.

This is the 3RD level of the X-Men Arcade game!In this level you face against Wendigo the 3RD boss in the game!Enjoy! NOTE:Wolverine may be my next member to join Team MUGEN Squad! X-Men (c) 04/1992 Konami. Six X-Men travel to Asteroid M in order to end Magneto's reign of terror. Depending on the machine, the maximum number of simultaneous players varies from two, over four, to six (play on an impressive 3-monitor cabinet!). - TECHNICAL - Game ID : GX065 Main CPU : 68000 (@ 16 Mhz) Sound CPU : Z80 (@ 8 Mhz) Sound Chips : YM2151 (@ 4 Mhz), K054539 (@ 48 Khz) Screen orientation : Horizontal Video resolution : 288 x 224 pixels Screen refresh : 60.00 Hz Palette colors : 2048 Players : 4 Control : 8-way joystick Buttons : 3 - TRIVIA - X-Men is based upon the comic book series of the same name (most of the game's plot is loosely based on the 1989 X-Men cartoon called 'Pryde Of The X-Men'). Here are the debut comics for all Marvel characters from this game including non-playable characters : Cyclops (aka Scott Summers) - X-Men #1 Colossus (aka Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin) - Giant-Size X-Men #1 Wolverine (aka James 'Logan' Howlett) - Incredible Hulk #180 Storm (aka Ororo Munroe) - Giant Size X-Men #1 Nightcrawler (aka Kurt Wagner) - Giant Size X-Men #1 Dazzler (aka Alison Blaire) - X-Men #130 Professor X (aka Charles Francis Xavier) - X-Men #1 Shadowcat (aka Katherine 'Kitty' Pryde) - X-Men #129 The Sentinels - X-Men #14 Bonebreaker - Uncanny X-Men #229 Pyro (aka St. John Allerdyce - Level 1 boss) - Uncanny X-Men 141 The Blob (aka Fred J. Dukes - Level 2 boss) - X-Men #3 Wendigo (Level 3 boss) - Incredible Hulk #162 Master Mold (Level 4 boss) - X-Men #15 The White Queen (aka Emma Grace Frost - Level 5 Mid-Boss) - Uncanny X-Men #129 Juggernaut (aka Cain Marko - Level 5 boss) - X-Men #12 Mystique (aka Raven Darkholme - Level 7 boss) - Ms. Marvel #16 Magneto (aka Erik 'Magnus' Lehnsherr - Final boss) - X-Men #1 Although "Final Fight" set the standard for scrolling fighters. This was a classic back in the day and was very good and getting your money. Special move gets 1 charge and then use your energy. I had a good run on this tbh, the sound is a little low for the hits etc, was the same int eh arcade sometimes. X-Men is an arcade game produced by Konami in 1992. It is a side-scrolling beat 'em up based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name. The character designs of the X-Men and the supervillains in the game are based on the 1989 X-Men pilot episode X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men. MAME MOMENTS.... X-MEN: CHILDREN OF THE ATOM

41:45
X-Men: Children of the Atom (Japanese: エックス・メン チルドレン オブ ジ アトム Hepburn: Ekkusu Men Chirudoren obu ji Atomu?) is an arcade game that was produced by Capcom and originally released on the CP System II arcade hardware in 1994. Based on the X-Men comic book, it is the first fighting game produced by Capcom using characters under license from Marvel Comics. Released around the time of the mid-1990s X-Men animated series, the game features voice actors from the series reprising their roles. The game's plot is based on the "Fatal Attractions" story from the comics - players control one of the X-Men or their enemies in their fight against the villain Magneto. They face each of the other characters in the game in best of three one-on-one fighting matches, before battling Juggernaut and then Magneto himself. The gameplay has much in common with Capcom's previous fighting games, Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Darkstalkers. Children of the Atom adds a combo system that features long combos that can even be performed in mid-air. Also featured in the game are various tactical maneuvers, including the ability for characters to roll. Children of the Atom also introduced multi-tiered fighting environments in which the ground would crumble and characters would fall into lower parts of the level. These concepts and the fast pace of the game would provide the basis for Capcom's Marvel vs. Capcom series, which started with the game's successor X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Ports of the game were released for the Sega Saturn, PlayStation and personal computers. Of these, the PlayStation version was not as well received as the other versions, suffering from slowdown and missing frames of animation.
