WE ONLY HAD 24 HOURS IN STOCKHOLM WITH A MINIMAL BUDGET! SEE WHAT WE GOT UP TO AND HOW MUCH WE SPENT! Check out my full cost break down here: http://www.psychotraveller.com/24-hours-in-stockholm-on-a-budget/ The moment we arrived in Stockholm we had to fork over what we considered a considerable amount for return bus tickets to and from the airport. The bus took 45 minutes and set us back 215 SEK each for a round trip! You can grab these tickets just next to where you collect your luggage. You will see lots of ticket machines for either the train (which takes half the time but double the cost) and also the coach. Don’t get me wrong, Australia is a place very close to my heart and is unique in it’s own way. But there is something about Europe which draws me back to this side of the world. Maybe the long and lavish history. The glorious architecture, maybe. Or just because it’s a continent I have come to know so well during my childhood. After eventually finding our boat, we headed back towards the old town with meatballs on the brain! We couldn’t come to Sweden for one day and not divulge in one of the country’s most popular dishes. It set us back 125 SEK each which I can guarantee were tourist prices, but damn they were tasty! So, after 24 hours with very little money, here is a full break down of our costs (prices per person unless otherwise stated): Food and drink Gasgrand 4: Meatballs, potatoes and salad 125 SEK Cafe Sten Sture: Goulash Soup with bread 85 SEK Salmon and prawns with potatoes and creamy sauce 160-180 SEK Pizza with ham and mushrooms; claimed to be better than Italy. 85 SEK Hot dog from a food stall 17 SEK Free continental breakfast Free Nature Valley Oat & Chocolate Bar X 4 Drinks: Beer ranged from 29 - 63 SEK Coffee: 41 SEK Evian Water: 25 SEK Transportation Airport transfer 215 SEK RETURN (EACH) Metro from boat to Central station 36 SEK Accommodation Log Inn Hotel 600 SEK (Based on two sharing, 300 SEK each) Attractions There are many options available when you think about filling your days with museums, galleries and long walks. Unfortunately, we had no time to see any of the paid attractions but saw some amazing sights by simply wandering the city and also sneaked in a free attraction. Grand total: 1,830 SEK = 915 SEK each! (£71.80 each) DON'T FORGET TO BECOME A LITTLE PSYCHO: http://goo.gl/GnWOIt Social media is sexy: Facebook: http://goo.gl/K0u8pa Twitter: http://goo.gl/FsbWJR Pinterest: http://goo.gl/qgRD4v Instagram: http://goo.gl/abzups SnapChat: @PsychoTraveller My blog: http://goo.gl/5zP0dG Business email: psychotraveller22 at gmail dot com

Stockholm, Sweden Travel Guide - Must-See Attractions
http://bookinghunter.com Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the largest city of Fennoscandia. Stockholm is located on Sweden's south-central east coast, where the freshwater Lake Mälaren - Sweden's third largest lake - flows out into the Baltic Sea. The central parts of the city consist of fourteen islands that are continuous with the Stockholm archipelago. The geographical city centre is situated on the water, in Riddarfjärden bay. Over 30% of the city area is made up of waterways and another 30% is made up of parks and green spaces. The most important places to visit in Stockholm: Vasa Museum (this is Sweden's National Maritime Museum. On display is the famous Vasa ship, the only preserved 17th century ship of its kind), Stockholm Royal Palace (the official residence of the Swedish monarch. It's a former site of a 14th century fortress), Town Hall (a key landmark for the city of Sweden. More than eight million bricks were used to construct this beautiful building), Drottningholm Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This stunning architectural gem built in the 1600's is the private home of the Royal family) and many more. This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Stockholm travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

Stockholm, Sweden part 1
Please subscribe: http://bit.ly/2pmdyeu Stockholm, Sweden part 1 Something special is going on in this Swedish capital. Scandinavians are often considered to have the world's highest standard of living, with Sweden occupying the top of that happy ranking and Stockholm is sometimes considered the number one city in the world in which to live. So it figures there are many wonderful things for the visitor to enjoy in Stockholm, a city created by a society that truly cares about people. They really believe in quality of life, and have built a place that is one of Europe's truly beautiful capitals. Stockholm is some kind of urban utopia - so let's go find out what makes it so special. We dive into the most interesting neighborhood, the "Old Town" of Gamla Stan, the cobbled alleys, the medieval city center. The narrow twisting pedestrian lanes of Gamla Stan are lined with superbly preserved old buildings which hold some very modern stores, so you can enjoy the historic experience while shopping! Also, we tour inside the Vasa Museum and the Nordic Museum. http://tourvideos.com Stockholm, Sweden part 1

Stockholm - Sweden tours and excursions
World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Stockholm - Sweden Travel Guide http://bit.ly/H1YEQ6 Stockholm - Sweden tours and excursions Stockholm tours ============ Boat tours Unmissable - choosing to stay on land in Stockholm is like not getting your feet wet in Venice. The Stockholm Card gives free boat tours on certain services during the summer. Strömma Canal Company and Stockholm Sightseeing both run various boat tours of the city, with departure points from quays near the Royal Dramatic Theatre, the Grand Hôtel and City Hall. Boat tours of the major waterside sights take approximately two hours. Bus tours City Sightseeing offers a variety of bus tours departing from the Royal Opera House. The 'Stockholm in a Nutshell' tour (combining a 90-minute bus tour around the city centre and a one-hour boat cruise to Djurgården) is one of the most popular. Walking tours Summer walking tours are offered by City Sightseeing. The 'Old Town Walkabout' (a guided stroll through the medieval core of the city) lasts 60 minutes, departing from Gustav Adolfs Torg twice a day at 1130 and 1330 between late June-late August. Excursions from Stockholm ======================== Drottningholms Slott (Drottningholm Palace) Just 15km (9 miles) west of central Stockholm, Drottningholms Slott is one of the most magnificent legacies of Sweden's imperial age, justly compared to Louis XIV's Versailles. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, the palace was begun by the great Swedish baroque architects, Nicodemus Tessin the Elder and Younger in 1662, for the dowager queen, Hedvig Eleonora. It is surrounded by equally splendid gardens containing the delightful Rococo Chinese Pavilion, almost a palace in itself. It also has the world's best-preserved palace theatre, with its 18th-century stage machinery still in working order - a popular venue for summer concerts and performances. Closed to the public in winter, the palace is the official residence of King Carl Gustaf XVI and the Swedish royal family. Guided tours in English are available on request. Thousand Isles The classic excursion from Stockholm, this is a water tour of the entire surrounding archipelago, getting up close to the 24,000 islands and islets of the Stockholm Archipelago -- a region famed for its wild beauty and unique atmosphere, especially in summer. The standard package stops at three or four of the most appealing islands. During summer, Strömma Canal Company operates excursions departing from Stockholm Nybroplan, including lunch, coffee, a two-course dinner and guided tours. The full-day tour lasts 11 hours. Uppsala Located some 50km (31 miles) north of Stockholm, Uppsala is Sweden's fourth largest city, and one of its prettiest. The local university, founded in 1477, is the oldest in Scandinavia. Its most famous son, Carl Linnaeus (Carl von Linné), acknowledged as 'the father of botany', was one of the most influential scientists of his time. Uppsala is also home to Scandinavia's largest cathedral, as well as an impressive botanical garden, which contains more than 9,000 plant species. A few kilometres north of town, meanwhile, the original site of the settlement is marked by a trio of royal burial mounds. ======================== Stockholm, Stockholm Museums, Stockholm Tourism, Stockholm Travel Guide, Stockholm Vacation, Stockholm Attractions, Stockholm Tours, Stockholm Hotels, Stockholm Restaurants, Stockholm Transport, Sweden Tourism, Sweden Travel guide, Sweden Vacation , Sweden == Stockholm - Sweden Travel Guide, Tourism, Vacation, Attractions

VLOG 07: My Trip to Stockholm (part 1)
So I went to Stockholm!! One of my best friends from home was going to Sweden for a business trip and invited me to stay in her hotel while she was in town and thanks to cheap European airfare I had zero hesitation! This is the first in a two part vlog about my quick trip to Stockholm, the Swedish capital city made up of 14 islands. After just a few days exploring, I highly recommend coming for a visit (though the summer might be a better time to see the city in its full glory!) It is quite small and can be really well navigated on foot - though the subway system is really easy to figure out as well which is helpful if you want to do any bigger trips - or don't enjoy putting in a ton of miles walking every day. This first vlog covers a free walking tour I did with http://www.stockholmfreetour.com/ - I had such a blast getting to know the tour guide and other people walking around the city. I think this is one of my favorite things to do when I get to a new city. There are always a bunch of different companies going out and I find it is the perfect way to get acclimated and learn more than you would on your own exploring. I also found a great bakery called Sattva Naturbageri which is a must see for anyone in town! Next was a trip to the Moderna Museet, which has a fantastic collection of modern art and great views of the main island - plus it was free! Lastly, I met up with a new friend who is the creator of Mögel - a vegan food truck dedicated to serving all sorts of different delicious fermented foods. I got to try so many of her amazing creations and if you are in town and the truck is parked somewhere it is a MUST! Now I'm just trying to convince her to bring the truck to Berlin for a weekend this summer :) ........................................................ Swedish Food in Stockholm: Melt-In-Your-Mouth Dill Cured Salmon!
►Check out my Stockholm travel guide for food lovers: https://goo.gl/Duc1fB ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv Day 18: Stockholm, Sweden - This was a Stockholm food tour day. We started by visiting a couple of well known Swedish food halls, and then ate some more delicious Swedish food. It was an amazing day of visiting Stockholm! 00:25 Swedish breakfast at Courtyard Marriott - The Courtyard Marriott hotel in Stockholm had an impressive display of breakfast foods including plenty of Swedish food in the buffet as well. So we started off the day with breakfast at our hotel before starting off. 5:03 Hötorgshallen Food Hall - After walking around Stockholm for a while and fully enjoying the views of the city and the water, we made our way over to Hötorgshallen Food Hall, one of the Swedish food destinations on this Stockholm food tour day. After contemplating what to eat for a while, I settled on eating at a place called Melanders Fisk that specializes in seafood. Ying had the poached salmon and I had a the dill cured salmon (gravad lax). It was impressively good, the salmon was melt in your mouth tender and it was served with a side of potatoes as well. I also had toast skagen which are shrimp over toast. It’s one of my favorite Swedish foods. Total price - 370 SEK ($43.32) 12:32 Östermalmshallen Food Hall - Another legendary food hall in Stockholm is the gourmet Östermalmshallen Food Hall. It’s been around since 1888, but they’ve been doing renovation on the original market for the last couple years, so it’s a temporary market for now. The market has a lot of similar restaurants and gourmet food stalls as Hötorgshallen, and there’s no shortage of amazing looking food. After walking around for a while, since we had just eaten, I chose to buy some moose sausage, which was pretty good. 15:49 Östermalms Korvspecialist - Next stop on this Stockholm food tour is Östermalms Korvspecialist which is just a short walk from Östermalmshallen Food Hall and they specializes in marevelous sausages. I ordered the kabanoss, a spicy sausage filled into a baguette and seasoned with mustard and sauerkraut. It was a truly delicious sausage, I loved it. Kabanoss - 60 SEK ($7.02) 18:36 Gamla Stan - Gamla Stan is Old Stockholm and it’s filled with narrow medieval lanes, shops and restaurants, and it’s just a great place to walk around and explore. We stopped at the German Church and I just enjoyed the atmosphere and just walking around on foot. 21:44 Nystekt Strömming - When I asked you where to eat in Stockholm, one of the top places I was recommended over and over was Nystekt Strömming, a food stall that specializes in serving Baltic herries. They serve fresh herring, not the notorious Swedish fermented herring. I ordered strömming on rye which came with deep fried herring, mustard, onions, and dill on top. It was awesomely delicious. By this time on this Stockholm food tour day I was getting pretty full. Strömming - 40 SEK ($4.68) So we ended the day here. It was a wonderful day in Stockholm eating lots of delicious food! Disclaimer and Thank You: Thank you to Star Alliance and their Round The World tickets (http://www.staralliance.com/en/round-the-world) for sponsoring my business class flights. Thank you to Courtyard Stockholm Kungsholmen for sponsoring my stay in Stockholm. I personally paid for all food and attractions in this video, and I decided what to do and where to eat. Credit - http://www.skyscrapercity.com Stockholm City Tour 2018 Stockholm Swedish is the capital of Sweden and the most populous city in the Nordic countries; 952,058 people live in the municipality, approximately 1.5 million in the urban area, and 2.3 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. Just outside the city and along the coast is the island chain of the Stockholm archipelago. The area has been settled since the Stone Age, in the 6th millennium BC, and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the capital of Stockholm County. Stockholm is the only capital in the world with a national urban park. Stockholm is the cultural, media, political, and economic centre of Sweden. The Stockholm region alone accounts for over a third of the country's GDP, and is among the top 10 regions in Europe by GDP per capita. It is an important global city, and the main centre for corporate headquarters in the Nordic region. The city is home to some of Europe's top ranking universities, such as the Stockholm School of Economics, Karolinska Institute and Royal Institute of Technology It hosts the annual Nobel Prize ceremonies and banquet at the Stockholm Concert Hall and Stockholm City Hall. One of the city's most prized museums, the Vasa Museum, is the most visited non-art museum in Scandinavia. The Stockholm metro, opened in 1950, is well known for the decor of its stations; it has been called the longest art gallery in the world. Sweden's national football arena is located north of the city centre, in Solna. Ericsson Globe, the national indoor arena, is in the southern part of the city. The city was the host of the 1912 Summer Olympics, and hosted the equestrian portion of the 1956 Summer Olympics otherwise held in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Stockholm is the seat of the Swedish government and most of its agencies, including the highest courts in the judiciary, and the official residencies of the Swedish monarch and the Prime Minister. The government has its seat in the Rosenbad building, the Riksdag (Swedish parliament) is seated in the Parliament House, and the Prime Minister's residence is adjacent at the Sager House. The Stockholm Palace is the official residence and principal workplace of the Swedish monarch, while the Drottningholm Palace, a World Heritage Site on the outskirts of Stockholm, serves as the Royal Family's private residence. The Stockholm Municipal Council is the name of the local assembly. Its 101 councillors are elected concurrently with general elections, held at the same time as the elections to the Riksdag and county councils. The Council convenes twice every month at Stockholm City Hall, and the meetings are open to the public. The matters on which the councillors decide have generally already been drafted and discussed by various boards and committees. Once decisions are referred for practical implementation, the employees of the City administrations and companies take over. The elected majority has a Mayor and eight Vice Mayors. The Mayor and each majority Vice Mayor is a head of a department, with responsibility for a particular area of operation, such as City Planning. The opposition also has four Vice Mayors, but they hold no executive power. Together the Mayor and the 12 Vice Mayors form the Council of Mayors, and they prepare matters for the City Executive Board. The Mayor holds a special position among the Vice Mayors, chairing both the Council of Mayors and the City Executive Board.[ The City Executive Board is elected by the City Council and can be thought of as the equivalent of a cabinet. The City Executive Board renders an opinion in all matters decided by the Council and bears the overall responsibility for follow-up, evaluation and execution of its decisions. The Board is also responsible for financial administration and long-term development. The City Executive Board consists of 13 members, who represent both the majority and the opposition. Its meetings are not open to the public. Following the Stockholm municipal election, 2014 a majority of seats in the municipal council is at present held by a left-wing majority and the Mayor of Stockholm is Karin Wanngård from the Social Democrats. In addition to the eight political parties which are also represented on the national level in the Riksdag, the Feminist Initiative also hold seats in the municipal council and is part of the ruling majority. Sweden: Stockholm Archipelago Historic All Day Boat Tour
Sweden: Stockholm Archipelago Historic All Day Boat Tour On our third day in Stockholm we took the 1000 Islands cruise of the archipelago with Stromma, a company that offers a bunch of different tours around Stockholm. Our trip lasted 11 hours and were served a delicious lunch, fika, and dinner. We stopped at three different islands throughout the day with an optional tour at each one in both English and Swedish. The boat was a restored cruiser built in 1908 with lots of great wood and brass detailing. While you can get to some of the places we went via the ferry system, it's much more efficient to go on a cruise. We all had a great time learning about the the Baltic Sea and the history of the islands. The weather held off until the very last half hour when the rain finally started. It was a great and different adventure. Stockholm trip
Created by HolyHen. A day trip to Stockholm from the eyes of a bunch of exchange students: Starting with Silja lines from Helsinki in the afternoon, one night on the boat, around 8 hours in Stockholm and another night on the boat. Main motivation for this trip? Actually two: Stockholm and party. It is said that some students don't even leave the boat while in Stockholm but catch some needed sleep.
