http://www.bitpod.co.uk How to make pitch and proposal videos. Crowd funding is becoming an increasingly popular way to fund new or expanding businesses that have the potential to provide a good return on investment. Video is a popular way for investors to view your pitch and understand what you have to offer. Video can also be used to support business proposals alongside quotes and written documentation. In all cases the inclusion of video can help you stand out by demonstrating your product or service and proving your credibility and capability. Making this type of video requires lots of planning and careful scripting. You really need to get this right as it may be your one chance of securing the desired result. This is a very specialised area where often there is only a few viewers you need to impress. For this reason it is highly recommended that you research this process well, or consult a specialist to help you shape your video proposal. Like all business presentations, choosing what to say and how it should be structered will be critical to keep your potential investor or prospective client watching till the end. Understanding what is important to them will be the key to retaining their attention and securing a positive outcome. Sucessful videos can demonstrate your expertise, communicate your businesses personality and can inspire the viewer to select your proposal. If your business offering is a product or real world service, then you will need to show video footage of it in action. Software or more complex services may suit an animation to help explain how it works. You may end up with a blend of personal presentation, video footage and animation to get all your points across. A well made video will give you a competitive advantage when looking for funding or pitching for a project. The time and costs incurred will be quickly repaid and you have a format you can use again. Compelling sales proposals!
How to write compelling sales proposals when bidding for public and private sector contracts. To win a large contract it's usually necessary to go through a formal tender process. However, there are times when you don't have to do that. If your prospective client likes the sound of the product or service you're offering and asks you to put it all in writing as he or she will need to discuss it with colleagues, you have the opportunity to prepare and submit a compelling sales proposal. You need to make it clear that you fully understand what the client is looking for, and state your understanding of their objectives. ideally verified with them at your initial meeting with them. You then write your proposal in a way that shows very clearly how you are going to meet those objectives. Set out the client's objectives on one page. In the proposal you then state the current position, including costs, followed by your proposed solution and the method by which you are going to take them from the current state to the bright new future you are going to create for them. Your proposal should contain both their current costs and the costs of your proposed solution, ideally showing savings. The savings may be in direct costs or perhaps reductions in manpower or administration. Your client will be impressed that you have taken the trouble to understand what they need and provide a solution for them. It is very important that you have that initial meeting, agree the objectives and also find out what is important to the decision maker. Ideally they should also agree for you to know their current costs: very often clients just don't know so you can offer to audit these for them, With this knowledge of the current situation and costs plus the client's objectives the chances of success for your proposal are far greater. By benchmarking the existing position you will be able to show a direct comparison between what they have now and what you are offering so there is no need for them to talk to anyone else. This formula definitely works - if you'd like to find out more please visit our website. More about how we help here - http://www.winningtenders.co.uk/

"Hi Evan I have not read anything from the E-mail yet but already my heart is beating fast from excitement. Thank you so much. Just one problem that I have had and I hope you can help me with. I run a sound hiring company. Hiring out microphone, speakers and dj equipment for co-operate and commercial events, I'm so passionate about it that I dropped out of a mechanical engineering studies. Now I'm very good at this, but when it comes to designing a proposal to a potential customer or actually convincing a customer about my business I suck on that and really its pointless running a business and not have any customers. I have gone as far as setting really low prices and I think its because of the desperation to get work. How can I solve this Desperate: Raymond"

Get Organized Here ➡️ http://bit.ly/tmscrm ⬅️ If you are are a service-based business owner, graphic designer, social media marketing agency, marketing consultant, web developer, photographer, virtual assistant, wedding planner, literally any business where you provide any type of service and work with clients (spoiler: most businesses - especially if you are an online entrepreneur ) You have to get a strong product offering, package and business proposal to your clients in a very timely manner. I have recently been looking to hire copywriters, webinar consultants, sales funnel builders and a few other online marketing professionals to help me grow and expand my social media marketing agency and marketing consultant practice. I met so many wonderfully talented creative professionals, but the thing was -- they all sucked at operations. It took them forever to give me any type of quote or price much less a business proposal. Even when they did send business proposals over to me it was always done on a word document and it looked like they spent several days trying to get the right package, bless their hearts. Anywho, I made this training mostly for people in the online space who are entrepreneurs or solopreneurs. I remember when I first started doing business onine and provide service for clients the worst part of the entire process was actually doing the paperwork and the business proposal. I made this training because when I got started there was nothing like this to help me, thank god for the Dubsado CRM software, it was super helpful. Make sure you sign up for their CRM platform that helps you with business automation and business proposals. Oh and don't forget to use my link! You get the best deal and it helps me out! No extra charge to you. Full transparency: Dubsado pays me a tiny commission everytime somebody signs up. My favorite part about the Dubsado CRM is when you get your proposals automated, it actually connects your contract ( I say agreement because I don't like the negative connotation " contract" has, thats the sales guy in me, always looking to convert sales! ) Anywho, back to the point, Dubsado allows me to connect my business proposals to agreements and straight to the invoice. They can pay right away and if you watch the video all the way to the end you will my bonus trick on how to to add gratuity or tips! It's crazy people actually tip you! I freaked out the first time it happens. Let me let you in on a little secret, it stills freaks me out to this day! In this video I show you step by step tutorial of how to use Dubsado to automate your business proposals, setup packages for your business and how to automate them so it all works together. Dubsado was a big piece of my puzzle that was missing for me and I will never launch a service based business without it. If you found value in this, do me a HUGE favor and share this out all over your social media, leave me a comment, subscribe, and of course like! What would be really cool is if you went to my Facebook page @TalentedMrSalas and showed me screenshots of how much money youare making!!! 7 Killer Sales Questions
As business owners, we love doing the things we're great at - you know, serving clients and such. Then sometimes, we have to throw on our 'salesman' hat and sell our stuff...which isn't always our strong suit. What you want: make the sale What you fear: being salesy, pushy, creepy, annoying, etc. So how do you eliminate the awkward part and get on with your money-making mojo? I'll show you... Here are 7 of my favorite questions that dig deep, uncover your prospect's real priorities, overcome objections, and get the sale. Minus the awkward. The first is a great question if the first question you’re getting right now is, “How much do you charge?” Often times it means that people don’t know what else to ask- they may not know what they don’t know. This first question you can ask will help put you back in the drivers’ seat of the sales conversation. “Sure, I can help you with that. Is it ok if I ask you a couple questions so I can give you the most accurate information?” Now you’ve taken control, and have an opportunity to ask them some really good questions, pull out some priorities other than price. There are always other buying considerations other than price and this gives you a chance to find out what those are for that prospect. It also gives you a chance to articulate your value, to say some things that set you apart so that once you do get to the price question they know all the other factors that are important to consider when making this buying decision. Here’s the second question: “Tell me more about that?” That’s a super simple one and a good fall-back question. Always keep it in your back pocket if you’re at a loss of what to say next. Ask them to expand on that, and they will. You can take a deeper cut, and sometimes find out what their real fears, concerns, and frustrations are. Here’s the next question: “So how do you want ___ to be different by [time frame]?” The first blank is for the main benefit you offer, and the second is for the time frame is reasonable to expect a result for what you offer. So if you sell marketing services, you can say, “So how do you want your lead flow to be different 12 months from now?” Now you can find out what’s really important to the client and shift from selling on price or features you offer to selling on the benefit that they’re after. Here’s the next question: “Suppose we were having this conversation x months from now, looking back, what would have to have happened for you to feel really happy with ___?” This one is similar to the last, but takes it from a different angle. The first blank is the time frame and the second is the benefit of what you offer. If I were asking this, I would say something like, “Let’s say we’re sitting together 12 months from now, what would have to have happened in your business in order for you to feel really happy with your progress?” So it gets them to tell you what their priorities are. Here’s the next question: “What factors other than price are important for you to consider when making this decision?” This is a great question to overcome the price objection, as obviously price is a consideration, but it’s not the only one. So if you’re getting the price objection further on in the sales conversation, this one is a great one to ask. Here’s the sixth question: “How does that fit with what you had in mind?” This is one to ask when you’re moving toward the closing and it’s about time for the prospect to make a decision, or you’ve just presented your price, proposal, or solution you offer. It’s super soft – not pushy, not salesy, and gives the prospect time to think and bring up any objections or areas of concerns that you haven’t addressed yet before you go in for the sale. It’s a very comfortable closing question. The last question is along the same lines when it comes to closing. “So what do you think we should do from here?” Another very simple, low-pressure question that allows the prospect to tell you exactly what they want to happen next, or allows you to overcome any objections before offering the solution. If you’ve done everything right up until that point, their next question might be something like, “When can we get started?” or, “How quickly can we get this done?” Karie Kaufmann San Diego Business Coach ActionCOACH Business Coaching + Training Center 2815 Camino del Rio S #235, San Diego, CA 92108 (619) 321-9262 www.kariekaufmann.com

KALAIN creator of olfactory links
What is the concept of our product? Our proposal consists in offering an olfactory compensation for an absence. In other words, we will allow people to smell the odor of a loved one (humans, or animals for example: dogs, cats or horses) when the person or animal is either temporarily or definitively gone (for example, deceased). In this case, we can produce a faithful reconstitution of a human or animal scent. We shall present it like a fragrance, in a customized box. We are about to create the first world’s community of olfactory comfort through a new tool, thanks to your support. Several of you have to expressed your needs concerning a loved one’s smell (whether boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, children or even loved pets such as cats, dogs and horses). You say: “My boyfriend’s scent, or more specifically his physical odor - what a beautiful smell… He intoxicates me with his smell, when I smell him, I’m alive, because I feel him here, close to me”… What a pity we can’t put all that in a perfume bottle! But in fact, now it is possible - thanks to our technology, and thanks to your financial support, you’ll soon be able to discover the smell of your loved ones in a perfume bottle! Thank you very much for your support. Katia & Florian

Nusii Review - A Tool For Sending Proposals & Reports To Customers
The ability to send proposals and reports fast will give you a huge advantage, but is Nusii a worthy tool and something you should consider? Take The TEDIOUS Part OUT Of Proposal Writing Have you ever said to a client "I'll get that proposal right on over to you" then you didn't? I know I have, and it is embarrassing. Nusii helps you break that broken process by helping you send proposals lightning fast. in-depth Video Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dT7mXXrqe4 Initial Impressions - Onboarding right after login is simple - Onboarding guides you on how to write a better proposal - Makes suggestions like listing prices in a menu format is a bad idea - Beautiful dashboard section when login in - Supports 13 languages - Very nice interface What is unique - Client Reports - Reusable blocks What I like - Customize the colors for branding - Proposals are broken down into sections that can be reused & reordered - Reusable sections - Add documents to proposals - Immediate notifications when your proposal is viewed - Totals are immediately calculated - Zapier integration - Electric signing - Download proposal as a PDF What I Don’t Like - Your logo needs to be a square - Needs a bit more variation in templates/styles - Proposal experience is basic - Proposal editor is not WYSIWYG - Sent emails are from Nusii Proposal (NOW INCLUDED) - No payment integration - Integrations are limited - No custom domains (NOW INCLUDED) - No role permissions, but said it’s coming If I was to rate Nusii on it own, not factoring in the AppSumo price, I would rate it a 3.5 stars because it has some ways to go, to mature. But if I am rating it based on the AppSumo price, its a 5 all day. So be sure to check out Nusii, my video, and if you found value in this review click the upvote. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All of my opinions in this video are my own, I was not paid to make this video. How to Give a Presentation About a Product
Visit https://skills.presentationexpressions.com/presentations for the Elite Presentation Skills Course. http://presentationexpressions.com I was asked a little while ago about how to give a presentation about a product. In particular, how to give a presentation about shampoo. Giving a presentation about a product is an important thing to know how to do because you are likely to use this skill when also talking about yourself or your ideas. The key thing to remember is that you have to focus on benefits to your target audience and not only on the features of the product. For example, if it’s shampoo that doesn’t make you cry, then that is a feature. The benefit is that if you’re a parent, it will be much more comfortable for your child if the shampoo doesn’t sting his or her eyes. (Of course, that no tears shampoo is actually pretty nasty so it’s best to avoid it, but anyway.) Check out the video to learn more about how to give a presentation about a product and be sure to head over to PresentationExpressions.com to sign up for the weekly newsletter. Thanks.

How to write a value proposition? Defining 6 core elements of Value Propositions
In this video Mat Shore innovation expert explains in 6 simple steps the best way to write a Value Proposition. First one element of Value propositions is a target and definition of the target by segmenting the target into more specific focused people. • Based on their attitudes • Based on their beliefs • Based on their behavior • Based on their location, gender, age, We can start to narrow down who it is we're talking about and that's the essential first step of creating a value proposition and if we're in business-to-business there may be multiple people in that value chain that we need to consider the next part of any good concept. Value proposition is a definition of what problem we intend to solve which we are going to call the insight and the insight relates directly to the target it will be the target biggest unmet need and they will have many problems of unmet needs but we are focused on the one that is most significant to them because in solving that escalates the value of our proposition Next thing our third element is to understand what alternatives already exist in the market for the customer to resolve that problem who directly or indirectly already delivers against that problem and why they fail to adequately solve it because of course if the alternatives are solving the problem perfectly well already then the size of the opportunity is limited for us. Fourth aspect of our value proposition will then be our promise what we call the Benefit. We don't really get to control the benefit. The benefit is a function of the insight if the customer says to us do you know what my biggest problem is this is my biggest problem then the benefit we offer can't be anything else. It has to be a commitment to solve that problem nothing else. We can't have multiple benefits we need only have to one benefit to solve the big unmet need of the customer but of course the customer will then say well hang on a minute I don't believe that you can promise that I don't believe you can make my biggest problem go away give me a reason to believe. That you can so the fifth element of a good value proposition is what we call the reason to believe the proof that we can make the benefit come to life and deliver the promise to solve the insight despite the fact all those alternatives have failed to do so in the past Then ultimately most good value propositions end on a point of superiority some people call it a discriminator a differentiator a USP a unique selling point ultimately what we want to be able to say is in this value proposition that we're offering you. we can deliver the benefit to a high degree of uniqueness and superiority over everything else that exists in the market These all contain those six core elements and when they're presented to the customer in the form of a written concept they make the story believable and compelling and over many years that format has been proven to test well. Business Proposal Template
Business Proposal Template http://www.pushbuttonvideomarketing.com/seo-video-marketing/marketing-strategy-examples/business-proposal-template/ There are many reasons to use a business proposal template... For example: Government, or a large corporation may require a product, or service and issue a RFP: request for proposal. In response to this request you would use a business proposal template to draft your response should you like your company to get the bid. Another reason for the proposal may be you wish to solicit business from someone for a product or service you wish to provide. Many people think that a Business Proposal Template is really a form of a Business Plan. This is not the case each form has its place in business. A business proposal template is exactly that a structured format to draft a document to propose a business offering from your company to another company, entity, or government. The proposal should generally be built around the three P’s Problem, Problem Solution, and of course Price. The basic form of the proposal should be to state your purpose: what you offer in a few short paragraphs. See simplified example below: RE: Proposal for XYZ Corp. Delivery of XXX product. ABC Company will deliver by Speedy Delivery Service 30 cases of XXX product directly from our main warehouse facility to XYZ corp. every month on the 1st of the month at XYZ Corporations XXX Plant Any City, USA. ABC Company guarantees to XYZ Corp. the delivery of said product, on the agreed schedule, and also guarantees the quality of product XXX to be equal to or better than the current spec sheet provided by ABC Company Labs or the XYZ Corp. shall be reimbursed all expenses plus an additional 100% performance guarantee within 7 days of failure to perform from ABC Company… As with any document much thought and research should go into its contents. Writing a proposal can be a very costly endeavor so a 'fish or cut bait' attitude can save you a lot of needlessly wasted time, energy, and expense. Can you work within their terms, parameters, time tables etc? It would be a shame to either get the contract and not be able to fulfill it, or not get the contract due to a lack in the presentation/proposal, because of poor research. When considering a RFP for example you really must do your homework and if you do respond be sure to respond in a format for your proposal that has a history of being accepted by the entity soliciting the RFP. Before you start to write your proposal take the time to really think about the prospect and mentally 'walk a mile' in the prospects shoes as it were. Consider their problem, your solution, and can you deliver at the right price? It should not be what is in it for you when you are drafting the proposal it should be 100% about what’s in it for the prospect. Make sure before you start to draft this proposal that you know and are prepared to include exactly what will satisfy the prospect with the perfect bait. Let the prospect know that you are completely at their disposal to deliver their solution, in the manner that only you and your company can. Should you be delivering your proposal in person stay relaxed, focus only on serving your prospect; do not lose your focus dealing with a cell phone, laptop or anything else. Stay calm and cool when you present your proposal having the confidence that you are the perfect match for your prospect. As evidenced by your delivery of the perfect business proposal template to your new client. http://www.pushbuttonvideomarketing.com,

💸 FREE Instagram Influencer Marketing Hack (Shopify)
Using Instagram influencers to drive traffic to your business or Shopify store is nothing new. It’s effective, it’s fast, it’s easy and even today it’s still one of the most underpriced ways to drive sales to your business. But if you’re just starting out or just want to test a product, $300-$500 can still be a lot of money to spend up front. When you think of an Instagram influencer you think of somebody with a massive page with millions of followers and it’s probably their full-time job. But what if I told you smaller users with 10-20 thousand followers could be just as, if not more effective and they’ll promote your website for FREE? I call it “Micro-Influencer Marketing” What you’re going to do is contact smaller influencers with 5k-10k followers and offer them a commission for each product they sell through their custom link in exchange for sharing it on their profile. Why does this convert so well? Keep in mind that people in this range probably aren’t making much from their pages and some aren’t even in the game to make money at all. So proposing a way to make some extra cash from their passion is a pretty tempting offer. 🎧 Music: Wide Awake (Instrumental) by Davis Absolute STEP 1 - SET UP YOUR AFFILIATE PROGRAM ⚙️ There are multiple great apps for setting up an affiliate program in Shopify, but the one we’ll be using is free and effective. 👉Affiliate by AAAwebtore App 1. Install the app in your store 2. Setup your affiliate commission rates 3. Customize your automatic emails 4. Grab your affiliate signup link. 5. Add signup link to your store navigation STEP 2 START COLLECTING A LIST OF MICRO-INFLUENCERS 👩‍💻 You can either do this by hand on your phone and enter the details into a spreadsheet, or use a free tool like Deep Social to do the work for you. 👉 Deep Social 👉 Grin (Another Influencer Search Tool) Remember, you’re looking for people in your niche with 5,000 - 10,000 followers. You can either enter this information into a Deep Social search or do it manually on your phone. To start finding smaller profiles, simply go to one of the bigger influencers in your niche and keep clicking the down arrow (🔽) until you see what you’re looking for. STEP 3 - CONTACT YOUR NEW LIST OF INFLUENCERS ✉️ Once you have a list collected it’s time to start recruiting these people into your affiliate program. The way you're going to do this is by sending out what's called a "mail merge" to everybody on your list. Mail merges are a great way to send mass amounts of personalized cold emails all at once and can save you hours of work. You can use a professional tool like YesWare that is loaded with additional features for follow-ups, link tracking etc, but you can also use a basic free plugin like the one I'll link below to get started. 👉 Mail Merge With Attachments (Google Sheets App) 👉 YesWare 👉 SalesHandy (Another great cold email tool) Below is the email template I used in the video. It’s simple to the point and I’ve gotten some good results with it. Just replace everything in brackets with your own information. Just format your sheet to match the templates they give you, run a test and send them on their way. You can also copy a similar message to the one pasted below and DM people right on Instagram, but you’ll need to switch up the wording each time to avoid getting banned and it’s might become hard to keep track of who you’ve already contacted. It’s up to you. _________________________________________ Hey {{First Name}} My name is Matt and we run a store called “[YOUR STORE / COMPANY NAME]” where we sell [YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICE] all over the world. 🔥 We came across your Instagram page @{{Last Name}} today and wanted to know if you wanted to earn some money from it? 🤑 All you would need to do is put our custom link in your bio and maybe share a couple of posts about our products (which we'll provide everything!) The Business Model Canvas - 9 Steps to Creating a Successful Business Model - Startup Tips
The Business Model Canvas - 9 Steps to Creating a Successful Business Model - Startup Tips The Business Model Canvas, is a strategic management and entrepreneurial tool. It allows you to describe, design, challenge, invent, and pivot your business model. The Business Model Canvas is comprised of 9 key segments: The left hand section of the Business Model Canvas is the Infrastructure section and comprises three key areas: Key Activities: The most important activities in executing a company's value proposition. Key Resources: The resources that are necessary to create value for the customer. Partner Network: In order to optimize operations and reduce risks of a business model, organization usually cultivate buyer-supplier relationships so they can focus on their core activity. The middle section of the canvas describes the business offering and is the value proposition delivered to different customer segments. Value Propositions: The collection of products and services a business offers to meet the needs of its customers. According to Osterwalder, (2004), a company's value proposition is what distinguishes itself from its competitors. The value proposition provides value through various elements such as newness, performance, customization, "getting the job done", design, brand/status, price, cost reduction, risk reduction, accessibility, and convenience/usability. The value propositions may be: Quantitative – price and efficiency Qualitative – overall customer experience and outcome The right hand side of the Business Model Canvas describes the customers, the channels through which you deliver services and and the relationships you have with your customers. Customer Segments: To build an effective business model, a company must identify which customers it tries to serve. Various sets of customers can be segmented based on the different needs and attributes to ensure appropriate implementation of corporate strategy meets the characteristics of selected group of clients. Channels: A company can deliver its value proposition to its targeted customers through different channels. Effective channels will distribute a company’s value proposition in ways that are fast, efficient and cost effective. An organization can reach its clients either through its own channels (store front), partner channels (major distributors), or a combination of both. Customer Relationships: To ensure the survival and success of any businesses, companies must identify the type of relationship they want to create with their customer segments. The bottom section of the canvas describes the finances. Cost Structure: This describes the most important monetary consequences while operating under different business models. A company's DOC. Revenue Streams: The way a company makes income from each customer segment. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIypuA7lS-FsVG6cMlNCK2w?sub_confirmation=1 Check out some of our other videos Compensation claims - how long should it take https://youtu.be/NuxfrgSTg78 LLC vs S Corp https://youtu.be/4xNCnf9hitw Minizing tax https://youtu.be/ybSnFb6rx6Y How to fund a startup https://youtu.be/ctzDb59sw5M Kickstarter success Ep 1 https://youtu.be/2EG78JNZ7nA Kickstarter success Ep 2 https://youtu.be/ZMlq5CmUNz8 How to pitch to investors with Guy Kawasaki https://youtu.be/-epR-uGlv4M If you are interested in sustainability issues then check this video out The Sustainable Business Model Canvas https://youtu.be/gVimMEI2u2w

📜 Business Plan Proposal Format and Steps! 📜
Click on the link below to discover tools and special methods that can easily triple your affiliate sales. http://bit.ly/2D2WflG Hello, today I want to talk about business plan proposal format and steps Say you have an idea, you create a prototype for your invention and now you have to spend money to manufacture your idea. Then there is the patent, which is expensive. A few thousand dollars to 10 thousand dollars is already spend and that is before a single unit has been made. Now you need cash and lots of it and you probably need to borrow some money. How much do you need? The best way is to draw up a solid business plan. A business plan is a multi-page document that should explain to an investor or stranger who has no prior knowledge of your product or business exactly what your product or service is, how and where you are going to make it, how you’re going to sell it, your assessment of the competition and why yours is better, and how much money you are going to need to start it and run it in the near and long term. Each type of business is different, but for a basic product-invention business, these are the minimums: This is a list I got from Lori Greiner who is the female on Shark Tank who has created over 200 products. The list is also below to help you. Executive Summary (1–2 paragraphs)   2. Company Summary (1 paragraph)   3. Market Description (1 paragraph)   4. Products (1 paragraph)   5. Manufacturing or Procurement (1 paragraph)   6. Sales Strategy (1 paragraph)   7. Fulfillment (1 paragraph)   8. Marketing and PR Campaign (1 paragraph)   9. Management Team (1 paragraph) 10. Patent and Trademarks (1 paragraph) 11. Sales Projections (1 page) 12. Operating Costs (1 page) 13. Five-Year Projected Financial Statements including a Breakeven Analysis (1–2 pages) 14. Launch, Inventory, and First Steps (1 page) 15. Financing—Equity Offering and/or Loans (1 paragraph) 16. Investment Opportunity (1 paragraph) After reading your business plan, investors don’t have to be convinced to invest or not. They should understand the concept and be informed enough about the key issues and assumption that they can go out and research the parts they are concerned about on their own and come back to you for answers to their most important questions. Once you have your business plan don't stick it on a shelf, you should update it often – even if you are the only employee. It can help you realize when you missed deadlines and have overspent. It will remind you if you’ve gotten off track in your day-to-day operations, or have changed your focus, so you can decide if that is really a good or bad thing. I hope you got some value from this video on business plan proposal format and steps.

How Do I Set My Consulting Rates?
http://www.ConsultingIncome.com/ Oh boy, consulting rates! this is a difficult situation. You have got an interested client, you know the business is yours, but how much do you charge? Too much and they walk away and too little and you're leaving money behind on the table! Really, you shouldn't be in this situation, it demonstrates a lack of understanding of the client. I tend to do value based pricing. During my discussions with the client, I try and gauge what the financial value is to the client of the consulting assignment. Then I try and set my fees so that the client gets at least 100X return on their investment. In some cases, I have been in competitive tenders where my fees have been twice the nearest competitor and yet I have still won. It comes down to understanding the value proposition for the client. However, another important aspect is their budget. In some cases, it doesn't matter how valuable the contract might be, if they don't have the money in their budget, they can't afford you. In these cases, I have a price structure where they pay so much upfront and then a larger fee later when they receive their return from your endeavours. I have found that this works well when I am advising the client on how to raise finance. I only get the large downstream payment when they are successful and they raise their money. If you really don't know what their budget is before sending your proposal, then a very useful trick is to let them choose their price by offering them a menu of charges. For instance, in your proposal you could offer: 1. The base price is $10,000 for which you get A, B, C and D 2. Or, we can offer you E, F and G for an additional $5,000 for these further benefits 3. Alternatively, we can also offer you H, Y and J for a further $5,000 on top where you will get these amazing benefits too In these cases, it is surprising how often the client goes for all 3 options because it happens to be in their budget. However, if their budget is constrained then they will just request option 1 or 1 and 2. Also, you must remember to clearly articulate the benefits for each option. Finally, don't be tempted to low ball your consulting bid because you happen to be desperate. There's nothing more miserable than working your socks off in a low fee paying contract. Instead, make sure that you have a marketing system in place that provides a reliable stream of new business opportunities on top. That way you'll maintain the conviction to hold out for top fees. How Will the CFPB's Proposed Arbitration Clause Ban Impact You? - February 3, 2015
The CFPB has released an outline of a possible rule limiting arbitration clauses in consumer financial product and service agreements and is currently working on a proposed rule for public comment. The outline indicates that the proposed rule would eliminate arbitration agreements that limit consumer participation in class actions and require the submission to the CFPB (and, potentially, public posting) of arbitral claims and awards. The proposal would affect entities covered by the Consumer Financial Protection Act, including providers of consumer financial products and services offering credit cards, checking and deposit accounts, prepaid cards, money transfer services, certain auto loans, short-term, small dollar loans, and private student loans. The CFPB may expand the rule to include additional consumer financial products and services, such as payment processing. Please join our complimentary webinar for a practical conversation about what the proposed arbitration clause ban means for companies and consumers. Members of Venable's CFPB practice group ‎will review the current state of the rulemaking process and outline what you and your company need to know about what’s ahead. Our experienced practitioners will share their takes on the Bureau’s proposal from regulatory and litigation perspectives. Topics will include: -Overview and statutory background of the CFPB’s proposal; -Current state of the rulemaking process: what to expect and when; -Effect on industry and consumers: what the Bureau seeks and how the proposal will affect companies and consumers; -Next steps: what companies can expect and how they may want to respond; and -Moving forward: how the industry and consumers will be affected by the proposal. This session will focus on industry participants that can expect to be affected by the Bureau’s proposal. Participants are encouraged to engage in the conversation by submitting questions throughout the live event and will receive a copy of the presentation and other materials following the webinar. According to Jarrod Glandt, "the single scarcity in your space will also equal opportunity." They explain how being told not to be pushy or to pester is wrong and instead must be as persistent as a child who wants candy or a toy. Grant and Jarrod share these 4 important tips with regards to follow up with deeper insights on each. 1. Follow up until somebody dies: Follow up immediately and combine, phone call, emails, text message and another in person visit. 2. Be so frequent people think you're a freak: When you believe persistence is achieved. Believe in what you're offering and offer it over and over. Make it your obligation to make people understand the value in what you have. 3. Get Creative! Creativity follows commitment. When following up frequently you have to think of other ways to engage. Be so creative they don't even think they're being sold. Have an arsenal of useful information and share it to help them make a decision. Mulago hospital to stop offering free medical services
The management of the Mulago Referal Hospital has drafted a proposal to government to have patients pay for all the services when the government facility fully reopens its doors to the public later this year at the completion of its revamp and expansion. The hospital's executive director Dr. Baterana Byarugaba told the parliamentary health committee that patients will pay in three categories determined by the services offered. Dr. Byaruhangda also explained that the money will be used to help provide quality services and pay the health workers competitive salaries and allowances. The proposals from Mulago hospital have aroused interest in parliament with most MPs supporting despite some expressing reservations about how they will be implemented. Highlights of Dezeen's talk on climate change for Good Design for a Bad World
The products that designers help create are the biggest contributors to climate change, according to research presented at our Good Design for a Bad World talks at Dutch Design Week last month. The claim came from designer Babette Porcelijn, who has published a book that explores the factors driving climate change and offering potential solutions to the problem. "I made an impact top ten," said Porcelijn, presenting a graph of the ten biggest causes of climate change. "Number one is products. It's stuff. I'm an industrial designer so I was really educated to make these things. But it has the number one impact." Electronic products such as mobile phones and computers are among the biggest contributors, she said, adding that her list contains more surprises, with animal farming coming second. "Number two is meat," she said. "Then comes houses, then comes the car." The findings are contained in her book, De Verborgen Impact (Hidden Impact), which explores the hidden impact of human activities on earth's climate, which most people are unaware of.
