My 2018 PowerPoint Masterclass is available: https://www.udemy.com/complete-powerpoint-presentation-design/?couponCode=YOUTUBE This is not a tutorial for everyone. I have recorded it upon special request by one of my students but it seems that a lot of people stuggle with this topic if they have to approach it, especially in PowerPoint. We will try and create a Product Roadmap template for use on our slides and presentations in PowerPoint. I will share my entire thought process and how I would design all elements to make them easily accessible and visible for the consumer. I hope this will be a helpful tuotorial for everyone interested. It is a longer one than usual but if you are not interested in product roadmaps you can simply watch another one and spare this tutorial :) Here is the link to the PPTX of this video: http://www.filedropper.com/productroadmapbyandrzejpach The font used here was Century Gothic so make sure you have that one isntalled before opening :) ➥ MY BEST PPT COURSES: ● PowerPoint Masterclass: https://www.udemy.com/case-study-powerpoint-2013-presentation-slide-by-slide/?couponCode=YT10 ● Kinetic Typography: https://www.udemy.com/powerpoint-kinetic-typography/?couponCode=YT10 ● Logo Intro Animations: https://www.udemy.com/logo-intro-animations-for-youtube-in-powerpoint-2013/?couponCode=YT10 ➥ SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/c/learnfrommenet?sub_confirmation=1

Here’s what to do before anything else. The purpose of a product launch is to drive traffic and sales to your online business, so that it can grow and thrive. Launching a new product is a great way to attract new customers, but it takes time to plan and execute. Many entrepreneurs feel the need to promote their products right away, and end up rushing the process. The result can be disastrous. In the words of David Ramsey, "People are in such a hurry to launch their product that they seldom look at marketing from a bird's eye view and they don't create a systematic plan." A successful product launch starts with a great strategy, and I'm here to walk you through it. Are you ready to learn the step-by-step process for launching your product? DIT's Product Design programme is the first of its kind in Ireland. Graduates of the programme have gone on to a variety of successful careers in Ireland and abroad. In the course of this four year honours degree, students are immersed in the various disciplines of product design through a unique interdisciplinary approach -- students develop their knowledge and skill sets through modules in the areas of design, engineering and business. This integrated method produces product designers who have the ability and confidence to be both creative and innovative in whatever role they choose to pursue. It gives them the necessary ability to face the challenges of designing new products and bringing them to market. Graduates of the program have proven themselves. equally comfortable in the design studio, the engineering office and the boardroom. Students learn how to produce accurate physical models of their designs using the extensive studio and prototyping facilities. They also use industry standard design software to bring their projects to fruition. In the capstone module of the programme, students conceptualise, design and develop a novel product. A number of students have developed successful products in this project which they have gone on to pursue and develop further upon graduation. While the final project is important for the students' individual development, a series of team projects over the course of the program help the students to develop interpersonal skills along with an appreciation of team dynamics. Students of the programme have won and been shortlisted for prestigious national and international awards including the Enterprise Ireland All Ireland Student Enterprise Awards, the James Dyson award, the International Forum for Design Concept awards in Hannover, Germany and the Staples Global Eco-easy Challenge in Washington DC, USA. Students of the programme have won and are regular finalists in the DIT Bolton Trust Student Enterprise awards in which they must demonstrate the ability to form their own company, design and develop a new product and produce a viable business plan in tandem. Project Management Simplified: Learn The Fundamentals of PMI's Framework ✓

50:41
✅http://lig.academy - Need a better job? Most LIG members find their ideal employment within as little as 15 days. Welcome to this week's episode where I make project management simple for you. To make it applicable to the majority of the audience, I am teaching Project Management Institute's (PMI) project management framework. ________________________________________________ Textbooks and frameworks are always boring. So, to make project management more interesting for you, I ran a project to demonstrate what steps to take and when. You won't regret spending 50 minutes to learn the basics of a wonderful practice called project management. You can also download all the templates I used in the session here (no need to register); https://thecareermastery.com/career-tips/project-management-simplified/ Although I strongly recommend you watch the entire session without skipping, for those of you who are just looking for snippets of information, you may find below the index of the video; 03:03 What is a project, program, and portfolio and how are they different from operations? 04:08 Project = Project Life Cycle + Project Management Process 04:43 Project Life Cycle 06:52 Process Groups 09:27 LIG, PMP certification or CAPM certification, which one is right for you? [Hint: I am biased!] 11:53 Process Groups - Initiation 13:06 Process Groups - Initiation - Project Charter 16:50 Process Groups - Initiation - Stakeholder Identification 18:17 Process Groups - Planning 20:30 Process Groups - Planning - Collecting Requirements 22:45 Process Groups - Planning - Defining the Scope 24:41 Process Groups - Planning - Scope Baseline 25:12 Process Groups - Planning - Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) 32:22 Process Groups - Planning - WBS Dictionary & Scope Creep 34:39 Process Groups - Planning - Time Management / Developing a Schedule 36:00 Process Groups - Planning - Gantt Chart 37:38 Process Groups - Planning - Fast Tracking a Project & Project Crashing 38:52 Process Groups - Planning - Cost Management 39:42 Process Groups - Planning - Budget development (for PMP or CAPM takers) 41:02 Process Groups - Executing 42:04 Process Groups - Executing - Gold Plating 43:16 Process Groups - Monitoring and Controlling 45:00 Process Groups - Monitoring and Controlling - Earned Value 47:57 Process Groups - Closing Process Group _______________________________________________________________ What is even a project? It definitely has a sexy tone to it right? Project… I just love the way it sounds. I wonder how cool it must sound in French. Proje… Well, project is a temporary endeavor to create a unique solution. Yeah that’s operations. No Well, the difference between a project and operations is fairly simple. A project ends. So, it’s temporary. You implement your project, you close it, you create a unique product/service/ or whatever outcome you wanted then you are done. Whereas in operations, it’s on-going and repetitive. You may have also heard about the terms program and portfolio. Let me just quickly explain them here. Program is multiple projects put together. Combined. And Portfolio is similarly. Multiple programs put together. So, it’s project, program, portfolio. Now before I go further, and dive deep. You need to understand something crucial. To run any project, you need 2 methodologies. The first one is a project life cycle and the second one is project management process. Most people confuse these 2. And if these are not clear, you can kiss the PMP certification goodbye. It’s absolutely amazing how many content creators in YouTube confuse these two. They are not interchangeable. You cannot afford to confuse a project life cycle with a project management process. Don’t worry I am going to make it very simple for you. Let’s start with Project Life Cycle. Project Life Cycle is unique to a project, to an industry, to your needs. It’s highly customizable. Think of it like this; a human development is a project. So, your life cycle is; 1) Conceiving 2) Birth 3) Childhood 4) Teenage hood. Teenage hood. Is that a word? Teenaging? 5) Adulthood 6) And death Easy stuff right? So, now if it was an IT project. I am not an IT but it would like something like this; High-level design Detailed Design Coding Testing Installation And Turnover This is project life cycle. The term cycle is a bit confusing here. I think. But who knows. This video covers; project management project management institute pmp project management professional certification project life cycle project management PMI managing a project project management fundamentals fundamentals of project management project management for beginners project management course

Integrated Product Design - Graduation project

02:59
The Integrated Product Design (IPD) Master’s programme focuses on teaching how to design user-centered innovative products and product service combinations, based on a balance between the interests of users, business and societal challenges. It covers the entire design process, starting from a design brief and ending with a complete product that is fit for mass or small series production. Thus the emphasis of the IPD master is on teaching conceptualisation and embodiment design, by applying systematic state-of-the-art theories and methodologies, and by integrating user, technology and business aspects. The identity of the IPD Master’s programme is determined by the coherent integration of all these aspects to come to a successful new product proposal; this makes the IPD Master’s programme challenging, exciting and unique. This movie illustrates what it is like to graduate within the master Integrated Product Design, by showing the projects of three (international) students. http://ipd.msc.tudelft.nl/

Project Management: Product Based Planning - How to use this technique

24:31
A project is about delivering products (output) that will have a function with an objective that deliver the outcome from which we realize the Benefit We cannot plan the project if we do not know the products: What, When, Who, Where, Why and hoW So we break them down in smaller products which then allows us to Prioritize (turn each into a requirement for the project benefit) and Estimate See dependencies - Internal and External So understand the real Scope (see another video) and then use to manage the value with such techniques as Function Analysis System Technique and Value Trees, which lead to the Value Profile, Value Index and most of all the Value for Money And so understand far more about the project

Product management vs Project management vs SDLC | Comparison and Relationship

05:15
We will look into the relationship and difference between product life cycle management, project life cycle management and SDLC (Software Development Life cycle management) with a simple example in this video. First we will try to define, life cycle phases and major focus of each of these. Product management: Product life cycle management is the process of managing the entire life cycle of a product from inception, through engineering design, and manufacture, to service and disposal of manufactured products. Generally Product life cycle management has the following phases. Idea generation Idea Screening Business Analysis Product Development Test Marketing Commercialization Evaluate and refine Major focus of product life cycle management is, the features and functionalities of the product that it offers to the customers. Now we will look into Project management. As per Project management institute (PMI), Project can be defined as a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result. the temporary indicates the project has a define start and end time. Project management can be defined as the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements. As per PMI, project management has five process group or phases as follows. Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling Closing. The main focus of project management is, to ensure the deliverable are meeting the requirements. Let's move on to SDLC life cycle management. SDLC can be defined as a process for planning, developing, testing, and deploying an information system. SDLC management deals with this managing the process associated with SDLC to build the IT system. Generally it has following 5 phases and according to the selected methodology these phases may or may not overlap. Requirements gathering Design Development Testing, and Implementation Major focus of SDLC management is, to build the system according to the specifications. Let me connect the product, project, and SDLC life cycle with a simple example. Lets imagine a scenario where company XYZ wants to launch a new online web store that helps the merchants to sell their products online. As a first step The XYZ company will start with the initial process of product life cycle management, idea generation, idea screening and business analysis are been performed and business cases are produced to support the launch of the online store. Now the company will start a new project for developing and launching the site. At this stage, the first phase of the project Initiation will be kicked off and project charter, stake holder register will be created. At the time project planning phase, SDLC life cycle starts. Also during the project planning phase, Software Development Methodology (SDM) will be chosen to implement the SDLC process and the software development starts. Normally entire SDLC will be contained in planning, execution, monitor & control phases of project life cycle. I would like to mention one point here. we can't exactly define at what phases of project management life cycle, the SDLC process will fit in, as the SDLC process might or might not overlap based on the selected software development methodology. So here I made an assumption of water fall SDLC methodology is followed. System development and launching process will start either at the planning, or slightly before that, and go through the execution and finishes at the monitoring and control phase. At this stage, SDLC life cycle ends. Next phase of the project is the project closing phase where the required documents will be submitted and the project will get closed formally. Though the project is closed here, still the product life cycle continues here. Product evaluation and refining is a continuous process and the product will be evolved further based on the customers feed back or through some analysis. Lets say, the company wants to roll out a mobile version of the application to the market. At this point of time one more project will be started and will continue the same cycle as mentioned above. So in a nut shell, a product life cycle will have many project life cycles and SDLC will be a part of the project management life cycle.

Differences Between Project Management & Product Management

01:02:14
Despite the similar names, there are big differences between product management and project management. The confusion between the two roles is common and potentially harmful to organizations who do not acknowledge the distinction. This is often the case for companies that develop web-based and technology products. A common challenge is that the two roles often appear to be at odds with each other. A product manager may want to add a lot of features to meet customer needs, but the project manager may want to limit the scope so that the project is delivered on time and under budget. Join this webinar to learn: Key differences between the roles of a project manager and product manager Most important tasks for a project manager vs. a product manager What needs to happen to get the most out of existing products within your organization Comparison of the Product Management Body of Knowledge (ProdBOK) and the PMBOK

Project Management vs. Product Management: What's the Difference?

26:07
Lauren Maffeo Product management and project management are two of today’s fastest-growing roles. Harvard and Cornell are among the business schools that have added product management curriculums to meet demand from students. Meanwhile, the Project Management Institute predicts that employers will need 88 million people in project management roles by 2027. But if you're wondering what the difference is between these two roles, you're not alone. These titles are often conflated, especially on small teams that have minimal time, resources, and candidates. But despite some overlap between these two roles, they serve distinctly different functions. This session will cover: The definitions of project management vs. product management. The key business functions that each role serves. Frameworks for project management vs. product management. Areas of overlap between these two roles. How to know which role you should hire for your own team. https://www.drupalgovcon.org/2018/program/sessions/project-management-vs-product-management-whats-difference

Product Manager vs. Product Owner Roles

02:06
This is a snippet from 280 Group's Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner - Online Course and Exam Learn More About The Online Course: http://280.gr/2zrnRC5 To be totally clear, this is a discussion about roles and NOT titles. For example, your TITLE can be Product Manager while performing the ROLE of a Product Owner. Product Management is a big discipline that covers a vast range of activities and responsibilities. This means being the market expert. You own the product strategy which drives the vision and roadmap. You manage the product throughout its lifecycle. And you ensure that there is a business justification for your decisions. You present the need. Your focus is the problem space and you avoid defining the product. You make the tough decisions and tradeoffs between features, schedule and cost. Ultimately, you deliver differentiated products to market. In some companies, the role is so big, that different aspects of it are split between different people. On the flip side, this is how product ownership is defined. You maximize the value of the product and the work of the development team. And you are the sole person responsible for managing the product backlog. You need to make sure the backlog is visible and understood by the entire development team. And all of these tasks for a particular project or slice of a project are the responsibility of one person. When you map the roles side-by-side, you can see that the product owner is responsible for the detailed work. You can see how closely they work with the development team. There are a lot of tasks that overlap with product management responsibilities. To allocate these, you may need to adjust for individual strengths and weaknesses. Some tasks are outside the scope of what Agile defines as that of the Product Owner. Many organizations struggle with dividing their responsibilities and if someone has all of these assigned to them, the workload becomes overwhelming. As a result, the focus is on the urgent and strategic focus is greatly diminished or lost.

Get trained and get certified as 'SCRUM MASTER' by the end of the training. www.skillcubator.com [email protected] [email protected] Call us on : 703-200-9921 In today’s competitive environment, business analyst’s role is no longer of simply ‘A bridge between Business and IT’. There has been a paradigm shift in the role of business analyst in recent years. In today’s resource scare environment, customers expect business analyst to have knowledge and skills to conduct enterprise analysis, perform end-to-end business processes re-engineering, identify bottlenecks in their value streams, and most importantly develop solutions that would solve their problems and integrate their vision-strategy-technology towards a common organizational goal. Requirements elicitation and documenting them is a very small subset of a modern day business analyst’s role. This course has been specifically designed keeping in mind the expectations customers have from a seasoned business analyst. In addition to the business analysis skills, project management skills are equally vital for a business analyst. Since the natural career trajectory of a business analyst curve towards project management discipline, we have included key topics of project management as well, which in a ‘real-world’ scenario, any experienced business analyst must be familiar with. Differences of Project Manager and Product Manager

01:51
A product manager's goal is to deliver a product that customers love. Project manager — oversee a fixed project from beginning to end. It can be a single project or a group of projects. Their job is to execute the strategy set by the product manager or leadership team.Product managers are responsible for guiding the success of a product and leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it. It is an important organizational role — especially in technology companies — that sets the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a product or product line.Project managers oversee the operations of individual projects within programs. They coordinate time, budget, and resources to complete work within program guidelines, and report to the program manager on progress and any changes made to the initial project plan.As you can see, Product Owners have much less power and responsibility in a project than Project Managers. In Scrum all three roles: the Product Owner, the Scrum Master, and the Team have management positions. ... Because of that, Product Owner is a single person and the only one who can make all of the critical decisions. However, the roles product manager and product owner are indeed different. ... But to the extent that any consensus exists about the basic difference between product managers and product owners, it is this: Product managers are strategic. They focus on the product's vision, company objectives, and the market.
