An Introduction to Praying with Anglican Prayer Beads and Song

10:01
The Rev. Sylvia Miller-Mutia shares a brief introduction to a prayer practice using Anglican prayer beads and songs. We begin with a 3 minute orientation to Anglican prayer beads. Then we pray around the circle of beads together once, using three songs: Come Pray with Us (Hamba Nathi), Know that God is Good (Mungu mi mwema), and Redeem Me (Original, Leah Cole.) This cycle of songs could be used at any time, especially during the season of Lent, or when praying for God's help.

Praying With the Triple Goddess Prayer Beads

08:41
Me demonstrating how I use the Triple Goddess Prayer Beads I made. I found most of the prayers I use here http://sacredstrands.webs.com/prayerbeadrosarylinks.htm I use 13 beads in each section for the 13 full moons in one year. Opening Prayer: "Great Goddess, Lady of Life, Whose garment is the shining Heavens. You are the white Moon among the stars and the beauty of the green Earth. You are the Oneness of all things and the completion of the Spirit. You are the Mystery that if that which we seek we find not within, we will never find it without. For you have been here since the beginning and you are that which is attained at the end of desire. Great Goddess, Lady of Life, Three that are One, You are everything; the Earth under my feet, the Air which I breath, the Water which purifys me and the Fire that illuminates my path. Great Goddess, I look within and I see your Light shining." Maiden-"Maiden of freedom, You are the eternal Virgin, the Holy Bride of Nature and the revealing Light within the Shadows. Through you all that is good comes to birth." Mother-"Mother of Compassion, forever fertile, Lady of the forge. You are the creating force of Love and the strength which nourishes all that lives. Through you the cause of Life is served." Crone-"Crone of Wisdom, Ancient One, Keeper of the Cauldron. You stand at the gates between the worlds and carry the shining sickle of Death. Without you nothing can be transformed." Closing Prayer: "Oh Holy and Blessed Lady, Perpetual Comfort of humankind and all creatures, who by your bounty and grace sustains the whole world. You bear great compassion to the troubles of the miserable as a loving Mother would. You are the natural Mother of all things, Mistress and Governess of all the elements, first of the Gods celestial, Light of the Goddesses." "By the Power and Will of She that is Three, Blessed Be!" (please forgive my wounded hand, I wounded myself at work creating a display ugh lol.) May the Triple Goddess bless us all )O(

The 9 Beads Chaplet Of St. Padre Pio - VERY POWERFUL!!!

The 9 Beads Chaplet Of St. Padre Pio - VERY POWERFUL!!! CATHOLICS & OTHER CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE ALL UNITED IN PRAYERS. SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL & LET US SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE ARE ONE IN OUR FAITH. When someone asks you to pray for them, why not pray with “Padre Pio Power”? When I heard that the prayer was written by St. Margaret Mary Alacoqu, was the one Padre Pio would use when people asked him to pray for them, I needed no further encouragement for choosing this prayer in the same way. Padre Pio has tens of thousands of miracles associated with him, including the healing of a very good friend of Pope John Paul II. When you use this prayer, keep a journal to record these special intentions. Keep in mind this type of petition is for specific needs such as gainful employment, healing from an illness, etc. After some time has passed, refer back to this journal to record the amazing way God answers these prayers. Due to our limited view and God’s eternal view, it is important to always trust that He knows far better what is really needed in these situations. Be open to seeing how sometimes He answers our specific prayers in a way that does not always match exactly with what we asked. When looking back on these petitions, see how His way is better. Rosary No More: Why I Stopped Praying My Rosary!

09:25
For those of you who are not familiar with the Rosary, the Rosary is a set of beads, each bead representing a prayer. The majority of those beads represent a prayer well known as the "Hail Mary" and there are 53 "Hail Mary's" on each bead set of 5 decades. There are also larger beads which would represent the Lord's prayer (Our Father) but there are only 6 of them on the rosary. There is a crucifix on the end, and the "Apostles Creed" would be said on that, and there are also "Glory Be" prayers that are said on that Rosary. Rosary Beads are big sellers in Roman Catholic stores, and they are made out of different materials including plastic, wood, glass and various metals. Some Rosary bead sets can even glow in the dark, and I owned a pair of them. People are taught to pray the Hail Mary at a very young age, and though they may not attend a Catholic Church for years, they will still remember the Hail Mary prayer. You will often hear the Hail Mary prayed in its entirety at Roman Catholic wakes inside the funeral parlour. Often the prayer is led by the local Catholic Priest. He will pray the first part which goes like this: "Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou, amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus." The Roman Catholics who are in attendance will then respond with the second part of the Hail Mary, which is as follows: "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death, Amen." This would continue until all 5 decades of the Rosary were said, and it would often sound like a chant, as the Priest did his part and we did our part. It kind of made me feel good, to rattle off all my Hail Mary's along with the rest of the people, but it never gave me any spiritual help at all in my life! I have prayed the Hail Mary, thousands of times. I can remember praying that prayer at Roman Catholic wakes and funerals, hoping that the person who died would not suffer too long in Purgatory. I would hope that Mary would remember me at the time of my own death. Jesus was not even part of the equation in my prayers to Mary. She was the one who I called upon, and she was the one that the Catholic Priests taught me to call upon at the hour of my death. The Lord Jesus Christ set me free from the darkness of Roman Catholicism, and it's false Gospel over 20 years ago, and people are being seduced in our day, like never before! There is very little resistance to Rome, in the pulpits in our time, even though many know Rome preaches a false gospel. Many are afraid of offending other "big name Christians" whose ministries are known around the world. Could it be that they are receiving funding from the compromisers, and do not want to lose that funding, should they speak out? God only knows if that is the case, but if it is I surely pity them. Many "leaders" of large churches (not just the name-it, claim-it people) own multi million dollar homes, which were purchased by the profits that they have made. Do you think that they want to bring any hatred or persecution their way, that might upset their lavish lifestyle? I do not think so! Where are the TRUE men of God in our modern day. Folks this is absolute SPIRITUAL INSANITY! Thousands (millions?) of men, and women of God have sacrificed their very lives, as a result of fighting against the false teachings of Rome, and we have their "goods" being peddled on the TBN "Christian" website! Hello is anybody listening?

How to Pray the Rosary HD

10:58
How to Pray the Rosary [http://bit.ly/2sIysHf] The Rosary is a Scripture-based prayer to help us remember the mysteries of our salvation, and to thank and praise God for them. There are twenty mysteries reflected upon in the Rosary, and these are divided into: The five JOYFUL MYSTERIES The five LUMINOUS MYSTERIES The five SORROWFUL MYSTERIES The five GLORIOUS MYSTERIES The repetition in saying the Rosary leads one into restful and contemplative prayer related to each Mystery. Also the gentle repetition of the words helps us to enter into the silence of our hearts, where Christ's spirit dwells. The Rosary can be said privately or with a group. The Rosary

23:12
The Rosary is divided into five decades. Each decade represents a mystery or event in the life of Jesus. There are four sets of "Mysteries of the Rosary" (Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious). These four "Mysteries of the Rosary" therefore contain, a total of twenty mysteries. The Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries are then said on specific days of the week (see each set of mysteries below). During private recitation of the Rosary, each decade requires devout meditation on a specific mystery. Public recitation of the Rosary (two or more people), requires a leader to announce each of the mysteries before the decade, and start each prayer (see "The Family Rosary" below). The Apostle's Creed is said on the Crucifix; the Our Father is said on each of the Large Beads; the Hail Mary is said on each of the Small Beads; the Glory Be after the three Hail Mary's at the beginning of the Rosary, and after each decade of Small Beads. In June 13, 1917, Our Lady asked that an additional prayer be added after each decade of the Rosary (see prayers at the end of this document). It is a prayer of forgiveness to Jesus and is said following the Glory Be after each decade only. (From: http://www.medjugorje.org/rosary.htm)

ROSARY FOR THE HOLY SOULS. Souls Who Receive Our Prayers Are Purified And Prepared To Enter Heaven

38:00
ROSARY FOR THE HOLY SOULS. Souls Who Receive Our Prayers Are Purified And Prepared To Enter Heaven In regards to the Church Militant (that’s us!) praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, St. Alphonsus Liguori wrote: “The practice of recommending to God the souls in Purgatory, that He may mitigate the great pains which they suffer, and that He may soon bring them to His glory, is most pleasing to the Lord and most profitable to us. For these blessed souls are His eternal spouses, and most grateful are they to those who obtain their deliverance from prison, or even a mitigation of their torments. When, therefore, they arrive in Heaven, they will be sure to remember all who have prayed for them.” What an incredible exchange of love! We can pray for the Holy Souls now, since they can no longer pray for themselves, and when they reach heaven they can intercede on our behalf. This powerful reflection reminds us of the beautiful reality of the mystical Body of Christ in which we, the souls in heaven, and the souls in purgatory all share! In light of this inspiration, how can we pray more specifically and intentionally for the Holy Souls? One beautiful way to intercede for them is to offer the recitation of the rosary on their behalf. Our Lady told St. Bridget: “I am the Mother of all the Poor Souls, for my prayers serve to mitigate their sufferings every single hour that they remain there (in Purgatory).” While Mary herself never experienced the stain of sin, her life was, like ours, a journey of faith with Christ. What better way to pray than to ask our Mother, and the Mother of All Souls, to aid the souls in purgatory as they are being perfected in Christ on their journey to heaven. With this in mind, I’d like to share with you a breathtaking means by which we can pray in a special way for the poor souls in purgatory: The Catholic Company’s exclusive Holy Souls Rosary! Inspiration from a Holy Woman Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, a 19th century mystic, experienced multiple visions of purgatory. In one, she saw suffering souls go from dark to light as she prayed fervently for them. (You might be interested and surprised to know that this same holy woman’s visions on the passion of Jesus form the basis for the worldwide acclaimed film, “The Passion of the Christ.”) Very moved by such imagery, The Catholic Company decided to design a rosary based on this vision. The opening beads and first decade of the rosary have a coal-black hue. As you continue praying, the beads lighten, and end in lovely pure white pearls, signifying the fact that the souls who receive our prayers are purified and prepared to enter heaven. A Unique Crucifix The crucifix on this rosary is a unique one called the “Unity Cross.” Its roots come from the Schoenstatt movement, but it has quickly spread far and wide outside the movement. In the image, Mary stands beneath the cross of Christ, and catches in a chalice the Precious Blood which falls from Christ’s pierced heart. This captures an intimate moment of attachment and union between Mother and Son—a union that each member of the Body of Christ shares in and strives for. Why Does We Use Beads While Praying To The Gohonzon?

02:03
Usually, when members pray to the Gohonzon, they hold a set of prayer beads in their hands. While holding the beads in one’s hands, one is said to be holding one’s life as the beads are fashioned after one’s body. The three tufts on the right are our head and both arms; the crossing over of the loop between our left and right palms indicates our navel; the two tufts on the left are our two legs. It is customary to place the prayer beads around the middle fingers of both hands — the three tufts on the right and the two tufts on the left — twisting the loop so that it crosses over in the middle between our palms. Each set of prayer beads has 108 beads which represent the 108 earthly desires, the sources of suffering. The four smaller beads represent the leaders of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth who have vowed to work for the happiness of all humanity. When we hold the prayer beads in our hands and chant daimoku and do gongyo before the Gohonzon, it is as if we are in control of our desires and suffering and not being controlled by them. And we can transform all our problems and suffering into fuel for our happiness. Using beads, however, forms a part of the ‘ritual’ aspect of faith. They have no special power and are not an essential part of the Buddhist practice. The substance and conviction of our faith are what matter most.

Praying with Prayer Beads and malas

14:59
About half way in, while making this video about how one can use prayer beads and malas, I stepped into a real life moment. Instead of a demonstration, I made it personal and real. How can you construct a tactile object that best fits your heart and your needs? I used a compass "tune-in" pendant and talked about where I had been and where I wanted to go, as I instructed how to "tune-in" and take the space, I stepped into a personal journey of what 4 realities I wanted to leave behind in 2016! A mini-course became a life adventure, as I allowed the compass to metaphorically lead me! That's what I want for you! The UHURU Collection is about FREEDOM! (UHURU = Swahili for freedom) You don't need one of our prayer beads or malas to get there, we just want you to get there! What are 4 of the things you are leaving behind you, and what 4 things are you taking forward... Take a look at the video, WATCH the entire class and pause as you go! In 2017 we will be doing in person classes and classes online, invite us to you company retreat, your church, your women's or men's group! Let's create safe and vibrant places together!

HOW TO PRAY THE ROSARY - GLORIOUS MYSTERIES With MYSTERY PRAYERS EVERY WEDNESDAYS AND SUNDAYS Use This Video Guide To Quickly And Easily Learn How To Pray The Rosary And Usher Peace & Serenity Into Your Life. MIRACULOUS 54 DAYS ROSARY NOVENA Church history reveals to us that on March 3, 1884, Our Lady of Pompeii appeared before the gravely ill daughter of an Italian military officer. Through her, Our Lady gave the world the miraculous devotion of the 54 days Rosary Novena. For over a year, Fortuna Agrelli had been in great distress even near death. So serious was her illness that her case had been given-up as hopeless by the most celebrated physicians. In desperation, on February 16 th, the afflicted girl and her family began a novena of Rosaries. One evening two weeks later, the Queen of the Holy Rosary appeared to Fortuna. Sitting upon a high throne, surrounded by luminous figures, Our Lady was holding the Divine Child on her lap and a Rosary in her hand. Both were arrayed in golden garments and were accompanied by Sts. Dominic and Catherine of Siena. Our Lady said, "Child, your faith has pleased me. Whoever desires to obtain favours from me should make three Novenas of the prayers of the Rosary, and three Novenas in thanksgiving." Obedient to Our Lady's invitation, Fortuna and her family completed the six novenas whereupon the young girl was restored to perfect health and her family showered with many blessings. The Devotion of the Miraculous Rosary Novena To complete one Novena, a person must say the Rosary for 9 days. To complete this devotion you need to say six novenas of 9 days of the Rosary each or a total of 54 days. Three Novenas of 9 days must be said to obtain the favour. Then, three more Novenas must be said in Thanksgiving. In total, there must be 27 days of Rosary prayers to obtain the favour and 27 days of Rosary prayers in Thanksgiving. This makes a total of 54 days. Whether the prayer intention has been received or not after the first 27 days (3 Novenas), the person must still say the 3 Rosary prayer Novenas (27 days) in Thanksgiving. From day to day, the meditations are in accordance with the guideline followed in the Catholic Church. These included the Joyful Mysteries, the Sorrowful Mysteries, the Glorious Mysteries and the Mysteries of Light. CATHOLICS & OTHER CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE ALL UNITED IN PRAYERS. Through our talents, sense of humor, eccentric imaginations, and thirst for creativity, we strive to present the Catholic faith in a humorous, yet respectful, way that upholds the teachings of the Catholic Church. This mission is our response to the call of Our Lord Jesus Christ to “Go into the world and proclaim the gospel” (Mark 16:15). Our goal is to inspire souls to seek Jesus, to know and feel His great love, compassion, and mercy for them, and to lead them on road to eternal life as understood by the Holy Catholic Church.
