SUPER DEADLY Norwegian Navy Naval Strike Missile (NSM)

01:35
The Naval Strike Missile (NSM) is an anti-ship and land-attack missile developed by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA). The original Norwegian name was Nytt sjømålsmissil (literally New sea target missile, indicating that it is the successor of the Penguin missile); the English marketing name Naval Strike Missile was adopted later. The Naval Strike Missile's initial serial production contract was signed in June 2007.[2] It has been chosen by the Royal Norwegian Navy for its new Fridtjof Nansen class frigates and Skjold class patrol boats. In December 2008 the NSM was selected by the Polish Navy, which ordered total 50 land-based missiles (including 2 for testing) under deals from 2008 and 2011, with delivery planned for 2013-2016.[3][4][5] The final milestone was completed in June 2011 with tests at Point Mugu.[6] On 12 April 2011, the Norwegian Ministry of Defense announced phase 2 of development.[7] On Wednesday, October 10, 2012, the Royal Norwegian Navy marked history by firing an NSM anti-ship missile for the first time. The vessel in question was the HNoMS Glimt, Skjold class patrol boat.[8] On Wednesday, June 5, 2013, the Royal Norwegian Navy for the first time test fired an NSM missile carrying a live warhead against a target vessel. The decommissioned Oslo class frigate HNoMS Trondheim was hit and the weapon functioned as intended.[9][10] In June 2013 Poland completed the Coastal Missile Division equipped for the beginning with 12 NSM and 23 vehicles on Jelcz chassis (inc. six launchers, two TRS-15C radars, six fire control and three command vehicles).[11] Ultimately, the Coastal Missile Division will be equipped with 48 missiles and six launchers. It is believed, Poland is going to establish second missile division in near future. The state-of-the-art design and use of composite materials is meant to give the missile sophisticated stealth capabilities. The missile will weigh slightly more than 400 kg (880 lb) and have a range of at least 185 km (100 nm). NSM is designed for littoral waters ("brown water") as well as for open sea ("green and blue water") scenarios. Like its Penguin predecessor, NSM is able to fly over and around landmasses, travel in sea skim mode, and then make random manoeuvres in the terminal phase, making it harder to stop by enemy countermeasures. While the Penguin is a yaw-to-turn missile, NSM is based on bank-to-turn flight (see Yaw (flight) and flight control). The target selection technology provides NSM with a capacity for independent detection, recognition, and discrimination of targets at sea or on the coast. This is possible by the combination of an imaging infrared (IIR) seeker and an onboard target database. NSM is able to navigate by GPS, inertial and terrain reference systems. After being launched into the air by a solid rocket booster which is jettisoned upon burning out, the missile is propelled to its target in high subsonic speed by a turbojet sustainer engine—leaving the 125 kg multi-purpose blast/fragmentation warhead to do its work, which in case of a ship target means impacting the ship at or near the water line. A multi-role version of the NSM is in development. This missile is called Joint Strike Missile (JSM) and will feature an option for ground strike and a two-way communications line, so that the missile can communicate with the central control room or other missiles in the air. This missile will be integrated with the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II "Joint Strike Fighter". Studies have shown that the F-35 would be able to carry two of these in its internal bays, while additional missiles could be carried externally. According to Kongsberg, this "multi-role NSM" is the only powered anti-ship missile that will fit inside the F-35's internal bays.[12] Lockheed Martin and Kongsberg have signed a joint-marketing agreement for this air-launched version of the NSM, as well as an agreement committing both parties to integrating the JSM on the F-35 platform.[13][14] The project is funded by Norway and Australia.[15] Kongsberg signed a contract for the first phase of development of the JSM in April, 2009, which is scheduled for completion within 18 months.[16] Improved features for the Joint Strike Missile include: Shape changed to fit in F-35 internal bay.[17] Ability to attack sea and land based targets Aerial launch platform (F-35) Improved range over NSM to 280 km [18] Long-term, production start in 2013 The JSM will have multicore computers running Integrity real-time operating system from Green Hills Software.[19] Kongsberg is studying methods to deploy the JSM from Norway's submarines.[20] The Royal Norwegian Navy (Norwegian: Sjøforsvaret, Den Kongelige Norske Marine or informally "Marinen", often abbreviated as RNoN) is the branch of the Norwegian Armed Forces responsible for naval operations. As of 2008, the RNoN consists of approximately 3,700 personnel

Marte Mk2/N Missile

00:55
Marte Mk2/N is a direct derivative of the proven and in service Marte Mk2/S helicopter-launched anti-ship weapon system, both variants deploying the same Marte Mk2 missile. Marte Mk2/N has an effective range in excess of 30km and is a fire-and-forget, all-weather sea skimming missile. It possesses inertial mid-course navigation through way points and active radar terminal homing. The system also incorporates a mission planning function to optimise operations. The missile fits very neatly into the spectrum of naval anti-shop weapons systems; medium calibre guns for short-range, Marte Mk2/N for medium range operations lying within the detection capability of the ship’s own sensors and MBDA’s OTOMAT/TESEO or Exocet MM40 Block 3 for long range. With no need for supporting airborne detection and unlike a helicopter with anti-ship weapons, a vessel armed with Marte Mk2/N can stay on-station for extended periods. U.S ANGRY: China tests aircraft carrier killer ballistic missiles in South China Sea

10:31
China has test-fired at least one anti-ship missile in recent days in the area around the contested Spratly Islands in the South China Sea, the United States military confirmed Tuesday. "The Pentagon was aware of the Chinese missile launch from the man-made structures in the South China Sea near the Spratly Islands," spokesman Lt. Col. Dave Eastburn said. In a notice to mariners released on Saturday, China said it would be conducting military exercises until Wednesday in a large area of the South China Sea, north of the Spratly Islands. The missile test was part of those exercises, according to NBC News, which first reported the Chinese action. More tests were expected, NBC said, citing unnamed US officials. CNN has asked Chinese authorities for comment on the report. China has claimed almost the entire 1.3 million square mile South China Sea as its sovereign territory, including the area of the Spratlys, which are also claimed in part by the Philippines, Vietnam and Taiwan. US vs China (July 14, 2019) : China's Aircraft Carrier Killer Missiles Splashdown in South China Sea

10:05
Two U.S. officials informed NBC News that intelligence had identified a “series of anti-ship ballistic missile tests in the South China Sea.” Late in June 2019, China issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) warning of ballistic missile tests into distinct areas in the South China Sea: one zone stretching from Hainan island to the disputed Paracel islands, and a second box-shaped sector north of the Spratly islands. WW3: China’s new hypersonic missile puts US destroyers in its sights

10:12
WW3 Lates News: China’s new hypersonic missile puts US destroyers in its sights - Hypersonic missile technology has quickly become the basis for an arms race between China, Russia, and the United States. Although the U.S. is now moving buckets of money into this new field, both the Chinese and Russians have maintained a steady lead in the competition thanks to an earlier start. Now, with the U.S. programs still close to two years away from flight testing, the Chinese have introduced a new short-range hypersonic missile meant to complement its existing arsenal of long-range platforms. The new CM-401 short-range anti-ship missile isn’t a behemoth like their near-thousand mile DF-21D that was purpose-built to take out American carriers before they could move into striking distance. Instead, this new ballistic missile engages targets from only about 180 miles away and packs a significantly smaller punch. It does, however, have one significant advantage over its much larger sibling: the CM-401 can be launched from ship-based canisters. Unlike China’s previous hypersonic anti-ship missiles, the CM-401 is meant to serve as a means to engage American destroyers and similarly sized vessels. Launching anti-ship missiles from a ship isn’t at all unusual, but what makes the CM-401 such a formidable threat is its sheer speed. With a suggested maximum speed of somewhere between Mach 4 and Mach 6, and an unpredictable flight path by design, the CM-401 would be nearly impossible to intercept using the missile countermeasures found aboard modern Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers. And while the new platform doesn’t quite pack the power it would need to sink a Ford or Nimitz class aircraft carrier in one shot (unless it was a particularly lucky or accurate one), it would likely be more than enough to sink a destroyer. According to what Chinese media outlets have reported, however, the missile was designed to be fired in groups or volleys — meaning this new platform does pose a significant threat to carriers as well, it just may take more than a single shot to sink the massive vessels. “The system is intended for rapid and precision strikes against medium-size ships, naval task forces, and offshore facilities,” said a spokesman for the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC). China has quickly become the world’s leading missile developer and stockpiler, with most experts agreeing that China now possesses the largest stockpile of missile platforms assembled anywhere on earth. For the most part, these weapons are meant to serve as “defensive” systems, as China’s emphasis has been on coastal defense and naval warfare in the South China Sea. That defensive posture is misleading, however, as China has asserted their sovereignty over the majority of the South China Sea, despite competing claims over the territory and global norms pertaining to international waters. As a result, China has been fielding missiles and other “defensive” assets on manufactured or captured islands to better defend their claims. “The country will possess greater deterrence against hostile sea attacks, especially from large vessels like aircraft carriers,” an unnamed Defense official told the Chinese media. China claims to have mobilized its supersonic nuclear missile to safeguard South China Sea. The so-called carrier and anti-ship missile has been deployed to the country’s northwest and if deployed, could cost up to 10,000 US lives. This saber-rattling comes in response to what China calls “grave violations” of their sovereignty. WORLDS BEST Russian Kashtan CIWS Better than US NAVY Phalanx CIWS

02:33
The Kashtan (Russian: Каштан, English: Chestnut) close-in weapon system (CIWS) is a modern naval air defence gun-missile system deployed by the Russian Navy. It is found on the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, Kirov class battlecruisers, Neustrashimy class, People's Liberation Army Navy Sovremenny class destroyers and Indian Talwar class frigates and other modern designs. Most typically deployed as a combined gun and missile system, it provides defence against anti-ship missiles, anti-radar missiles and guided bombs. The system can also be employed against fixed or rotary wing aircraft or even surface vessels such as fast attack boats or targets on shore. The Phalanx CIWS is a close-in weapon system for defending against anti-ship missiles. It was designed and manufactured by the General Dynamics Corporation, Pomona Division[4] (now a part of Raytheon). Consisting of a radar-guided 20 mm (0.79 in) Gatling gun mounted on a swiveling base, the Phalanx is used by multiple Navies around the world, namely the Royal Navy and the United States Navy on every class of surface combat ship, by the United States Coast Guard aboard its Hamilton-class and Legend-class cutters and the navies of 16 allied nations. A land based variant known as C-RAM has recently been deployed in a short range missile defense role, to counter incoming rockets and artillery fire.[6] Because of their distinctive barrel-shaped radome and their automated nature of operation, Phalanx CIWS units are sometimes nicknamed "R2-D2" after the famous droid from Star Wars,[7][8] and in the Royal Navy as Daleks, after the aliens from Doctor Who.[citation needed] The United States Navy (USN) is the naval warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven uniformed services of the United States. It is larger than the next 13 largest navies combined in terms of battle fleet tonnage.[5][6] The U.S. Navy also has the world's largest carrier fleet, with 10 in service, one under construction (two planned), and two in reserve. The service has 317,054 personnel on active duty and 109,671 in the Navy Reserve. It operates 286 ships in active service and more than 3,700 aircraft.[3] The Russian Navy (Russian: Военно-морской Флот Российской Федерации (ВМФ России), tr. Voyenno-morskoy Flot Rossiyskoy Federatsii (VMF Rossii), lit. Military-Maritime Fleet of the Russian Federation) is the naval arm of the Russian military. The present Russian Navy was formed in January 1992, succeeding the Navy of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which had itself succeeded the Soviet Navy following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in December 1991. The first Russian Navy was established by Peter the Great (Peter I) in October 1696. Ascribed to Peter I is the oft quoted statement: "A ruler that has but an army has one hand, but he who has a navy has both." The symbols of the Russian Navy, the St. Andrew's flag and ensign (seen to the right), and most of its traditions were established personally by Peter I. Russia Listeni/ˈrʌʃə/ or /ˈrʊʃə/ (Russian: Россия, tr. Rossiya; IPA: [rɐˈsʲijə] ( listen)), also officially known as the Russian Federation[10] (Russian: Российская Федерация, tr. Rossiyskaya Federatsiya; IPA: [rɐˈsʲijskəjə fʲɪdʲɪˈrat͡sɨjə] ( listen)), is a country in northern Eurasia.[11] It is a federal semi-presidential republic, comprising 83 federal subjects. From northwest to southeast, Russia shares land borders with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (both with Kaliningrad Oblast), Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and North Korea. It shares maritime borders with Japan by the Sea of Okhotsk, and the US state of Alaska across the Bering Strait. At 17,075,400 square kilometres (6,592,800 sq mi), Russia is the largest country in the world, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area. Russia is also the world's ninth most populous nation with 143 million people as of 2012.[12] Extending across the whole of northern Asia and much of Europe, Russia spans nine time zones and incorporates a wide range of environments and landforms. The United States of America (USA or U.S.A.), commonly referred to as the United States (US or U.S.) and America, is a federal republic[10][11] consisting of 50 states and a federal district. The 48 contiguous states and the federal district of Washington, D.C. are in central North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is the northwestern part of North America, west of Canada and east of Russia which is across the Bering Strait in Asia, and the state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-North Pacific. The country also has five populated and nine unpopulated territories in the Pacific and the Caribbean. .

According to some reports, China has as been conducting a series of anti-ship ballistic missile tests in the South China Sea In a statement, Pentagon spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Dave Eastburn said one anti-ship weapon was seen in the waters within the last few days. He said, “Of course the Pentagon was aware of the Chinese missile launch from the man-made structures in the South China Sea near the Spratly Islands. He added further, “What’s truly disturbing about this act is that it’s in direct contradiction to President Xi’s statement in the Rose Garden in 2015 when he pledged to the U.S., the Asia-Pacific region and the world that he would not militarize those man-made outposts. I’m not going to speak on behalf of all the sovereign nations in the region, but I’m sure they agree that the PRC’s behavior is contrary to its claim to want to bring peace to the region and obviously actions like this are coercive acts meant to intimidate other South China Sea claimants." The latest development will further increase the already heightened tensions over the waters. In this video Defense Updates analyses Chinese testing of Anti Ship Ballistic missile and other provocation in the South China Sea. British Brimstone Missile - Tank Hunter Killer [HD]

18:12
Wish to donate to support my channel? - Paypal link: paypal.me/Matsimus Brimstone is an air-launched ground attack missile developed by MBDA for Britain's Royal Air Force. It was originally intended for "fire-and-forget" use against mass formations of enemy tanks and tank armour, using a millimetric wave (mmW) active radar homing seeker to ensure accuracy even against moving targets. Experience in Afghanistan led to the addition of laser guidance in the dual-mode Brimstone missile, allowing a "spotter" to pick out specific targets when friendly forces or civilians were in the area. The tandem shaped charge warhead is much more effective against modern tanks than older similar weapons such as the AGM-65G Maverick, while the small blast area minimises collateral damage. Three Brimstones are carried on a launcher that occupies a single weapon station, allowing a single aircraft to carry many missiles. After a protracted development programme, single-mode or "millimetric" Brimstone entered service with RAF Tornado aircraft in 2005, and the dual-mode variant in 2008. The latter has been extensively used in Afghanistan and Libya. An improved Brimstone 2 was expected to enter service in October 2012, but problems with the new warhead from TDW and the ROXEL rocket motor put back the planned date to November 2015. MBDA is working on the targeting of swarms of small boats under the name Sea Spear. The RAF intend to fit Brimstone to their Eurofighter Typhoons, and planned to integrate it with their Harriers until the latter were withdrawn from service in 2011. MBDA is studying the use of Brimstone on ships, attack helicopters, UAVs, and from surface launchers; it will be integrated on the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II when the F-35B enters British service. The United States, France and India have expressed interest in buying Brimstone for their aircraft, but Saudi Arabia is the only export customer as of 2015.The cost per missile has been quoted as £175,000 ($263,000) each in 2015,or 'over £100,000'. he missile was originally supposed to be an evolution of the original laser AGM-114 Hellfire, with the laser seeker replaced by a millimetre wave (mmW) seeker. During development, virtually the entire missile was redesigned, resulting in a weapon that - other than the external shape - bears no relation to the original airframe. It is unrelated to the separate development of the mmW Hellfire for the Apache Longbow. Brimstone has a Tandem Shaped Charge (TSC) warhead that employs a smaller initial charge, designed to initiate reactive armour, followed by a larger, more destructive charge, designed to penetrate and defeat the base armour. It has been estimated that Brimstone will be 3 times more effective than the AGM-65G Maverick missile against modern tanks, and 7 times more effective than the BL755 cluster bomb. In combat Brimstone has demonstrated accuracy and reliability "both well above 90 percent" according to the MoD Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton has said that 98.3% to 98.7% of Brimstone fired in Libya "did exactly what we expected". China: Our Hypersonic Missiles DF-17 Can Sink US Aircraft Carriers is far superior to DF-21D & DF-26

15:28
China: Our Hypersonic Missiles DF-17 Can Sink US Aircraft Carriers is far superior to DF-21D & DF-26 - The Dongfeng-17 is equipped with a hypersonic gliding warhead that has the ability to penetrate the missile defense system of the United States and other countries, the reports say. Chen Guangwen, a Chinese military commentator, said the Dongfeng-17 is "impossible" to be traced and intercepted by "Western missile defense." If Dongfeng-ZF's hypersonic warhead technology is perfected, the weapon could pose a major threat to the United States' missile defense network, Chen said. The Dongfeng-17 is an improvement on the Dongfeng-16B, a multistage short-range ballistic missile. Dongfeng-17 was first tested in late 2017, as the United States conducted freedom of navigation operations in the South China Sea. According to Chinese media, the Dongfeng-17 is capable of carrying nuclear warheads and striking any target in the world within an hour. But the reports also added the hypersonic boost-glide weapon cannot at the moment be used to target the United States because the re-entry vehicle glides at high speeds, unpowered, after the rocket motor detaches. Chen said the hypersonic technology could be deployed in the Chinese military by 2020 and is far superior to the Dongfeng-21D and the Dongfeng-26, also known for their potential strike effects against aircraft carriers. China DEPLOY DF-26 anti ship ballistic missile after US warship enters South China Sea

10:11
China DEPLOY DF 26 anti ship ballistic missile after US warship enters South China Sea - CHINA has deployed a far-reaching DF-26 anti-ship ballistic missile after a US warship was accused of operating in the disputed South China Sea. China’s DF-26, the anti-ship ballistic missile, has been mobilised to Northwest China’s plateau and desert areas, according to Chinese state media publication The Global Times. The announcement of the deployment comes after a US warship sailed near disputed islands in the South China Sea on Monday. The new generation of intermediate-range ballistic missiles are capable of targeting medium and large ships at sea. The missiles can also carry both conventional and nuclear warheads. The ballistic missile deployed by China is believed to have the capability to hit targets 4,500km, away. This would make the missiles capable of striking targets including US naval bases in Guam in the western Pacific. The missiles were first paraded in 2015, but this is the first time footage has been seen of the missiles outside of a parade. The Global Times reported that it is unclear when the missiles were moved to the northwest region. It comes after a US guided-missile destroyer sailed near disputed islands in the South China Sea on Monday in what China called a "provocation". Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said on Monday: “The US action violated the Chinese laws and international laws, infringed China's sovereignty, damaged regional peace, security, and order. “China will take necessary actions to protect state sovereignty. The USS McCampbell conducted what Washington described as a “freedom of navigation operation” near three features in the Paracel Islands chain. China claims almost all of the South China Sea and denounces the US and its allies over naval operations near Chinese-occupied islands. Defending against China's DF-21D 'carrier-killer' missile

00:53
Admiral Jonathan Greenert, the chief of US naval operations, told reporters on Friday there are a number of methods the US Navy would use to defend against China's Dong Feng (East Wind) 21D carrier-killer missile, which the US believes has reached "initial operating capability," well before the missile got close to a carrier group. The DF-21D, the world's first ballistic anti-ship missile, carries a conventional warhead and is fired from land-based launchers. China says the DF-21D has a range of 1,700 miles. China Missiles Test Can killer Aircraft Carriers in South China Sea

11:22
China Missiles Test Can killer Aircraft Carriers in South China Sea Earlier this week China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Rocket Force most likely tested a DF-21D or DF-26 anti-ship ballistic missile—sometimes know as "carrier-killers"—in the South China Sea. Details remain sketchy, as Chinese spokesmen have remained close-mouthed about the exercise. The test came on the heels of news last May that PLA weaponeers had installed anti-ship cruise missiles and surface-to-air missiles on Fiery Cross Reef, Subi Reef, and Mischief Reef, west of the Philippine Islands. Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Dave Eastburn told CNBC that this week’s missile test contradicted China’s “claim to want to bring peace to the region and obviously actions like this are coercive acts meant to intimidate other South China Sea claimants.” Col. Eastburn has it half right. Beijing clearly wants to coerce others. But the test was entirely consistent with its claim to want to bring peace to the region. It does want peace; it simply wants to transform the nature of that peace, and force is a means to that end. If Chinese Communist Party prelates in Beijing get their way, they—not foreign governments or international institutions—will make the rules in the South China Sea. They will issue laws or policy decrees mandating or proscribing certain actions in regional seaways, and others will obey. Peace will prevail. The missile tests are the latest installment in China’s effort to put steel behind its claims to “indisputable sovereignty” over the waters, skies, and land features within the “nine-dashed line” it has sketched on the map of Southeast Asia. The nine-dashed line encloses some 80-90 percent of the South China Sea, including not just contested Spratly and Paracel islands, atolls, and reefs but also wide swathes of fellow Southeast Asian claimants’ “exclusive economic zones.” It’s worth noting, for instance, that Mischief Reef, one of the island bastions now festooned with missiles, lies deep within the Philippine exclusive economic zone. Beijing purloined it from Manila in the mid-1990s and progressively built the reef into the military fastness it is today. Source: http://bit.ly/2JFh4sb Rear music: http://bit.ly/31LbWL8i

Russian Hypersonic Anti Ship Missile is ready now???

03:18
RUSSIA has confirmed its hypersonic missle that can destroy the warships in a single strike are ready "as of today" The lethal Zircon missile can travel at speeds of Mach 5–Mach 6 (3,806–4,567 mph; 6,125–7,350 km h; 1,701.5–2,041.7 m per Second). Such high speeds have led to concerns that it could penetrate existing naval defense systems; the Royal Navy's Sea Ceptor surface-to-air missile is only capable of intercepting targets flying up to Mach 3. In April 2017, it was revealed that the Zircon had reached a speed of Mach 8 (6,090 mph; 9,800 km h; 2,722.3 m per Second) during a test. Source : https://goo.gl/JyoH5a

China vs USA and the world: Carrier killer missile, other military stories - compilation

19:21
In only a generation, China has transformed itself into one of the most dominant countries in the world. After a significant period of economic growth in the 1990s and 2000s, China is now capable of designing and producing its own high-tech weapons. Its growing military power is a major source of tension in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly with the U.S, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and other nearby countries. TomoNews presents to you a selection of stories about China’s latest weapons and military actions. 1. The DF-ZF hypersonic glide vehicle flies at five to 10 times the speed of sound and could be operational by 2020. 2. China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy now has more submarines than the U.S. Navy. Should we be worried? 3. After meticulous sleuthing, bloggers and netizens reached the conclusion that at least one of the North Korean drones that crashed in South Korea were manufactured by a Chinese company. 4. Japan scrambled fighter jets for a third consecutive day after four Chinese military aircraft flew over Japan's Okinawa Islands and Miyako Island. 5. China’s new island base is aimed at strengthening surveillance over its self-proclaimed air defense identification zone and enhance China’s ability to respond militarily to threats in the region. 6. China parades its latest weapons to celebrate the end of World War II. Among them was a new “carrier killer” missile known as the Dong Feng 21D. 7. Japan is accusing China of heightening tensions in the East China Sea after two pairs of Chinese jets flew extremely close to two Japanese surveillance planes in separate incidents. 8. Initial estimates that China has reclaimed 2,000 acres since December 2013 are wrong, says a newly released Pentagon report. The number is in fact almost 50 percent greater. 9. Satellite imagery shows that China has created enough space on Fiery Cross Reef for a runway that is about 3,000 metres long. 10. The U.S. military plans to station B-1 strategic bombers and surveillance aircraft in Australia, according to U.S. Defence Department Assistant Secretary for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs David Shear. 11. China has unilaterally declared an "air-defense identification zone" (ADIZ) over a vast area of the East China Sea, covering disputed islands that are also claimed by Japan and Taiwan. 12. Five Chinese naval ships, including three combat ships, an amphibious ship and a replenishment ship, were spotted in international waters near the Aleutian Islands. 13. The Philippines accused China of having used water cannons last month on Filipino fishermen to drive them out of disputed waters in the South China Sea. 14. The U.S. Navy plans to sail a ship close to artificial islands built by China to signal it doesn’t recognise Beijing’s claim on the entire South China Sea. China is “seriously concerned.” 15. China’s navy issued eight demands to an American P-8A Poseidon aircraft to leave the airspace over Southeast Asia’s most dangerous flashpoint. 16. Chinese long-range bombers passed through the contested Bashi Channel in a move interpreted as pushback against U.S. involvement in the region. 17. Pentagon Chief Ash Carter has pledged to expand the U.S.’ military ties with Vietnam, beginning with millions of dollars worth of patrol boats. Marte ER missile on Eurofighter

02:27
Marte ER represents the third generation within the Marte family of missile systems and is directly derived from Marte MK2/S which is already in service with the Italian Navy on its NFH90 and AW101 helicopters. The main difference between the two missiles is the introduction of a turbo engine in place of the rocket motor which increases the missile’s operational capacity. Marte ER due to be integrated on board the Eurofighter Typhoon and other fast jets. Marte ER’s design takes into account that Marte MK2/S is already qualified and installed on NFH90 and AW101 helicopters, which offers the following advantages: - Same mechanical, electrical and functional helicopter interfaces. - No platform hardware changes required to manage the Marte Er missile, only software changes to the Store Management System (SMS) are required to manage longer range performance. - The helicopter, with the new version of SMS software, is able to operate both Marte MK2/S and Marte ER missiles. - Same logistic support, in terms of benches, trolley and most handling & maintenance tools and schedule Web site : http://www.mbda-systems.com LinkedIn : https://www.linkedin.com/company/164883/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/byMBDA

Marte Mk2/A Missile

01:38
MBDA’s Marte MK2/A is a member of the Marte family which is designed to equip light combat aircraft. The missile is a medium range anti-ship missile designed to meet operational requirements incomplex littoral environments and in blue water scenarios. The mission planning capability is improved in order to minimise operator workload in operational use and to give the best success probability against low and medium size vessels. A preliminary version of Marte MK2/A was developed in the 90s and integrated in the MB 339 and AMX aircrafts. For the MK2/S helicopter version the Marte MK2/A missile will maintain the same mechanical and electrical interfaces with the platform and the same vertical separation concept, except that the two acceleration boosters will be reduced in thrust due to the fact the firing speed of the aircraft is the same order of magnitude as the cruise speed of the missile. The safe separation will be achieved by a launcher which, during the firing sequence, releases and pushes the missile downwards, using stored energy, and gives the missile a vertical velocity of some meter per seconds. Marte Mk2/A’s weight is 10kg less than that of the helicopter and naval versions. Although the missile system will incorporate new technological enhancements providing increasing operational performance, the missile itself will remain basically the same thereby permitting reuse of the same Integrated Logistic Support concept employed by the Marte MK2/S and MK2/N Customers. China tests ballistic missile amid tensions with US

02:10
#China's military has successfully test-fired its DF-26 intermediate #ballistic #missile, which has the capacity to strike moving warships. The missile is nicknamed the "Guam killer" because US military bases on the Pacific island, Guam, are within its range. Chinese state media reported that the tests were conducted in an undisclosed location in China's northwest. Beijing announced that it had deployed the missiles to a desert area in that region earlier this month, one day after a US freedom of navigation exercise in a section of the South China Sea that Beijing considers as its territory. Zircon missile: most dangerous Russian weapon at sea

01:09
German experts came to the conclusion that Russia's Zircon missile sea-launched complex represents a real threat to warships of different countries. Hypersonic cruise missile Zircon 3M22 will become the main weapon of the Russian navy. The missile has a range of about 600 kilometers and is capable of reaching speeds six times the speed of sound. German experts also recalled the modernisation of the Russian battle cruisers Admiral Nakhimov and Peter the Great, which are said to be armed with state-of-the-art S-500 air defence systems and Caliber cruise missiles. The Zircon missile will enable the Russian fleet to destroy almost any foreign warship and will pose a particular threat to US aircraft carriers. The Zircon has been under development since 2011. The speed of the missile will reach nearly 7,500 kilometres per hour. In two and a half minutes, it will cover a distance of up to 250 kilometres. No system in the world can intercept a missile flying at such a speed. For example, British missile defences can shoot down missiles at speeds of up to 3,700 kilometers per hour. Worlds Top 7 Close-in Weapon Systems (CIWS) | BEST "Sea-Whiz" NAVAL DEFENSES

14:40
A close-in weapon system (CIWS), often pronounced "sea-whiz", is a point-defense weapon system for detecting and destroying short-range incoming missiles and enemy aircraft which have penetrated the outer defenses, typically mounted shipboard in a naval capacity. Nearly all classes of modern warships are equipped with some kind of CIWS device. There are two types of CIWS systems. A gun-based CIWS usually consists of a combination of radars, computers, and multiple-barrel, rotary rapid-fire cannons placed on a rotating gun mount. Missile systems use infra-red, passive radar/ESM or semi-active radar terminal guidance to guide missiles to the targeted enemy aircraft or other threats. In some cases, CIWS are used on land to protect military bases. In this case, the CIWS can also protect the base from shell and rocket fire. But which one is the best in Matsimus's opinion? China Deploys 'Ship-Killer' Missiles in Wake of US Ship's South China Sea Tour

China Deploys 'Ship-Killer' Missiles in Wake of US Ship's South China Sea Tour Earlier this week, a US guided-missile destroyer conducted a "freedom of navigation" mission in the Paracel/Xisha Islands, which Beijing said amounted to trespassing in China's territorial waters. The Chinese military has mobilised its new DF-26 nuclear-capable anti-ship intermediate-range missiles to the remote northwest plateau, presumably in response to the US destroyer's passage, the Global Times has reported, citing national broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV). Iran's Navy-Killer Missiles Now Have Double the Range Iran just sent a veiled warning to the U.S. military: We see you, and now we can reach you everywhere. Iranian Revolutionary Guard aerospace division chief Amirali Hajizadeh declared Tuesday that Iran had boosted the range of its land-to-sea ballistic missiles up to 700 km, or 435 miles, Reuters reports, capable of hitting “any vessel or ship” at that range. written by Task and Purpose Jared Keller Source : https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/irans-navy-killer-missiles-now-have-double-range-33771 ______________________________________________________________________________ Thanks You For Watching..... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Site : https://worldofweapon.wordpress.com Facebook : http://www.facebook.com/worldofweapon16 Twitter : https://twitter.com/worldofweapon VK.com : https://vk.com/vk.worldofweapon Myspace : https://myspace.com/worldofweapon #Missile #IranNavy #Navy #BallisticMissiles Tags:- defence news, news, world news, weapon, asia news, military news, military, event, military event, defense news,,defence update, defense update, military update

IRAN SUPER WEAPON AIRCRAFT CARRIER KILLER SUPERSONIC ANTISHIP BALLISTIC MISSILE

03:06
http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?i=5642659 --------------- Iran Mass Producing New Anti-Ship Missiles Iran is mass producing a new ballistic missile that can travel at more than three times the speed of sound and hit targets on the high seas, top commanders said on Feb. 7. Cmdr. Mohammad Ali Jafari, who heads the elite military force, the Revolutionary Guards, said the missile - named "Persian Gulf" - had a range of 300 kilometers. Related Topics Middle East & Africa Air Warfare "Iran is mass producing a smart ballistic missile for sea targets with a speed three times more than the speed of sound," state news agency IRNA quoted Jafari as saying about the new missile. He said the missile was "undetectable and can't be neutralized by enemies," without specifying the name. "It has very high precision in destroying targets," Jafari added. "As the enemy's threats will likely come from the sea, air and by missiles, the Guards have been equipped with capabilities to neutralize the enemy's advanced technology," he said, according to another Iranian news agency, ISNA. Iran's missile and space programs have sparked concern in the West that such advanced technologies, combined with the nuclear know-how which the nation is acquiring, may enable Tehran to produce an atomic weapon. Tehran denies its nuclear program has military aims. The new missile can be fired "from surface ballistically and can hit enemy vessels from a high altitude," Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Guards' air force wing told Fars news agency. "The missile is named Persian Gulf ... its warhead will carry 650 kilograms of explosives," he said, adding that the missile was powered by solid fuel and designed by the Guards. Footage on state television showed the missile being fired atop a mobile launcher from a desert terrain. The announcement of the new missile comes as Iran holds celebrations to mark the 32nd anniversary of its Islamic revolution that toppled the U.S.-backed shah. Iran uses the run-up to the Feb. 11 anniversary to tout its scientific and technological achievements. In a separate function, Iran unveiled four new home-built satellites and engines of a rocket. Meanwhile the head of naval Guards' naval forces, Ali Fadavi, issued a warning that Iran will hit back if it came under attack. "The Islamic republic has the ability of blocking the Strait of Hormuz if threatened," Fadavi told Mehr news agency. "We will deliver a very firm response if any powers do the slightest thing to hurt the security of the region." Iranian military officials regularly warn of blocking the Strait of Hormuz - the route through which 40 percent of world's oil supply by sea passes - in case Iran comes under attack.

India's Deadliest Missile - List Of Powerful Indian Missiles | Future Indian Missiles (Hindi)

08:49
Here is a Video About India's Deadliest Missile - Complete List Of Powerful Indian Missiles - Upcoming Future Missiles. In modern language, a missile is a self-propelled precision-guided munition system, as opposed to an unguided self-propelled munition, referred to as a rocket (although these too can also be guided). Missiles have four system components: targeting or missile guidance, flight system, engine, and warhead. Missiles come in types adapted for different purposes: surface-to-surface and air-to-surface missiles (ballistic, cruise, anti-ship, anti-tank, etc.), surface-to-air missiles (and anti-ballistic), air-to-air missiles, and anti-satellite weapons. All known existing missiles are designed to be propelled during powered flight by chemical reactions inside a rocket engine, jet engine, or other type of engine. Non-self-propelled airborne explosive devices are generally referred to as shells and usually have a shorter range than missiles. With the historic and successful test-firing of the supersonic cruise missile BrahMos from an Indian Air Force Sukhoi Su-30 MKI multirole air superiority fighter jet on November 22, India is moving towards developing the capability of launching pinpoint aerial attacks on enemy targets on land and sea, and in all weather conditions day or night. With the IAF version of the BrahMos, India has added another lethal and potent weapons platform in its arsenal which already includes land and sea-based missiles. Apart from BrahMos, India already has the Agni, Prithvi, Nirbhay, and Dhanush series of missiles in its arsenal while submarine-launched ballistic missiles Sagarika and Shaurya along with Prahaar and Agni-V are in the development stage. Here is a look at the India's Deadliest Missiles : - BrahMos Missile - Prithvi Missile (Prithvi-I, Prithvi-II, Prithvi-III) - Dhanush Missile - Agni Missile (Agni-I, Agni-II, Agni-III, Agni-IV, Agni-V) - Sagarika Missile - Shaurya Missile - Prahaar Missile - Nirbhay Missile Hello Defence Lovers, Defence Gyaan Series ke is episode No. 33 mai humne apko India Ki Deadliest Missiles ke baare mai bataya hai, Hume Umeed hai ki apko yeh episode pasand ayega. Iran Afraid : Royal Navy Tests Boat Kill3r Martlet Missile Amid Tensions With Iran

11:14
The Royal Navy has tested a boat killer missile, the Martlet, in the Irish Sea. The anti-ship missile, also known as the Lightweight Multirole Missile (LMM), was fired from the Royal Navy’s Type 23 frigate HMS Sutherland, an an official statement said the target boat took a direct hit in the Irish Sea. The firing assumes significance following recent reports that a Royal Navy ship had to warn off Iranian gunboats that had tried to "impede" a British oil tanker. Four Martlet missiles, designed to be fired by Wildcat helicopters to defeat terrorists and suicide bombers, were fired at a fast-moving speedboat, within the Aberporth Range at the southern end of Cardigan Bay off the Welsh coast, during the test. Experts, according to the Defense Post, say the modular LMM can use different precision guidance modes, including laser beam riding and laser designation, and carries a 3 kg dual-effect blast fragmentation and shaped charge warhead. Lockheed's Long Range Anti-Ship-Missile Looks Like a Killer. And China Should Be Afraid

10:22
Lockheed Martin released a press statement saying that the U.S. Air Force had successfully tested Lockheed’s Long-Range Anti-Ship Mis sile (LRASM) off the coast of California. “During the test, a B-1B from the 337th Test Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, launched a LRASM over the Sea Range at Point Mugu, Calif., successfully impacting the maritime target and meeting test objectives,” the press release said. David Helsel, the LRASM program director at Lockheed, was quoted in the press release as saying, “LRASM has now proven itself in six consecutive flight missions. . . . The reliability and outstanding capability of LRASM will provide an unmatched weapon to our warfighters in their quest for sea control in contested environments.”

U.S. Panic : China tests aircraft carrier KlLLER ballistic missiles in South China Sea

12:06
Military Update news :U.S. Panic : China tests aircraft carrier KlLLER ballistic missiles in South China Sea (Video/Thumbnail Picture just For Illustration) U.S. calls Chinese missile tests in South China Sea 'disturbing' The Pentagon on Wednesday condemned weekend missile tests by China in the contested South China Sea. Over the weekend, China carried out an anti-ship ballistic missile test and fired at least one missile into the South China Sea, which contains several hundred tiny islands claimed by China, Taiwan, Vietnam and other countries. Among them are the Spratly Islands, where a buildup of Chinese military installations has been seen. Observers said the missile may have been a DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missile, known as a "carrier killer" and capable of crippling an aircraft carrier. China previously moved land-based anti-ship cruise missiles to it's military stations in the region, a crucial shipping route where $3.4 trillion in goods travel each year. "Of course the Pentagon was aware of the Chinese missile launch from the man-made structures in the South China Sea near the Spratly Islands," Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Dave Eastburn said. "What's truly disturbing about this act is that it's in direct contradiction to President Xi's statement in the Rose Garden in 2015 when he pledged to the U.S., the Asia-Pacific region, and the world, that he would not militarize those man-made outposts."
