A Company's Lifecycle Model - A Practical Example
The main stages of a company's lifecycle are: - seed - start-up - growth - establishment - expansion - maturity - exit Typically, a company’s lifecycle starts with a seed stage. Then, if things go well, a start-up will be formed. Once the start-up starts to grow we’ll be in growth stage, which is followed by the establishment and expansion phases. The final two stages of a company’s development are maturity and possibly an exit. These are the life cycle stages that a company typically goes through. Understanding what can be expected in each of them is a must for anyone who wants to start a business. In this video, we have described each of these stages in detail. Product Life Cycle | जानें क्या है Product की Life Cycle
Product Life Cycle | जानें क्या है Product की Life Cycle The Product Life Cycle. A new product progresses through a sequence of stages from introduction to growth, maturity, and decline. This sequence is known as the product life cycle and is associated with changes in the marketing situation, thus impacting the marketing strategy and the marketing mix. *Introduction Stage: In the introduction stage, the firm seeks to build product awareness and develop a market for the product. The impact on the marketing mix is as follows: Product branding and quality level is established, and intellectual property protection such as patents and trademarks are obtained. Pricing may be low penetration pricing to build market share rapidly, or high skim pricing to recover development costs. Distribution is selective until consumers show acceptance of the product. Promotion is aimed at innovators and early adopters. Marketing communications seeks to build product awareness and to educate potential consumers about the product.

Product and Service Management - Actions for Product Life Cycle Stages
Full course: https://www.udemy.com/4-strategies-for-product-and-service-management/?couponCode=PROMONOW Understanding Product Life Cycle Understanding the product life cycle is an important step in formulating a successful product strategy. Operations management is responsible for the majority of the stages in the life cycle, with marketing handling the remainder. But it's essential that for each stage of the product life cycle, both operations and marketing are aligned and communicate in an effective manner with each other. This relationship is extremely important – it can determine whether a product strategy is successful or not. Stages of the Product Life Cycle The product life cycle has four stages: 1 - introduction. 2 - growth. 3 - maturity, and 4 - decline. Introduction The first stage involves the product being introduced to a new market. Product awareness and development are key aspects of this process. Branding and quality levels are established and issues relating to intellectual property, patents, and trademarks are addressed. At this point in a product's life cycle, its target audience includes innovators and early adopters. It isn't heavily distributed at this stage, as the organization wants to wait until there is significant consumer acceptance of the product. Growth The second stage is the growth stage. The organization tries to build brand preference to retain a loyal customer base. The aim is to increase the product's market share. Quality and price become very important factors at this stage. Additional features may be added to the product to ensure consumer interest is maintained. The promotion of the product is widened and the target audience broadens. The product is more widely distributed in response to increasing demand and customer acceptance. Maturity In the third stage, maturity, it is common for sales to plateau, partly in response to increased competition. The volume of production stabilizes and the product begins to show significant return on investment. What is the 'Product Life Cycle' The product life cycle describes the period of time over which an item is developed, brought to market and eventually removed from the market. The cycle is broken into four stages: introduction, growth, maturity and decline. The idea of the product life cycle is used in marketing to decide when it is appropriate to advertise, reduce prices, explore new markets or create new packaging. First, a product idea is implemented during the introduction phase, and the idea undergoes research and development. If the idea is determined to be feasible and potentially profitable, the product is produced, marketed and rolled out in the growth phase. Assuming the product becomes successful, its production will grow until the product becomes widely available and matures in the mature stage. Eventually, demand for the product declines and it becomes obsolete, resulting in the decline stage. At the beginning of a product's life, it may have a little to no competition in the marketplace, until competitors start to emulate its success. As the product becomes more successful, it faces increasing numbers of competitors and may lose market share, eventually declining. The stage of a product's life cycle impacts the way in which it is marketed to consumers. For example, a brand-new product needs to be explained to consumers, while a product that is further along in its life cycle needs to be differentiated from its competitors. A General Example of Product Life Cycle, Management and Implementation Using an established industry as an example, recorded television has products all along the stages of the product life cycle. As of 2016, 3D TVs are in the introduction phase, DVR is in the growth stage, DVDs are in the maturity phase, and video cassettes are in the decline stage. Understanding a product's life cycle and implementing effective product life cycle management is extremely important for a successful company. Zurn Industries, LLC, a leader in commercial, municipal, healthcare and industrial water solutions, identified the need to further define its product life cycle, and implemented a platform created by Advanced Solutions Product Lifecycle Management, LLC to help it do so. The platform helps Zurn Industries integrate its company-wide product data into a centralized system in such a way that it can report on product development data. Through the use of analyzed data, the company looked at its product life cycle, from the introduction phase to the decline stage, and updated its product workflow so that it operates more efficiently. The product life cycle platform implemented by Advanced Solutions Product Lifecycle Management essentially created a straight-forward approach to new product development, streamlining the four stages of the life cycle. in this video, wi will learn about an important concept named Product Life Cycle. Product life cycle talks about the stages a particular product or a brand has to go through. The stages are introduction, growth, maturity, and decline. Firstly, the introduction stage. In this stage, a new product is introduced to the market and people start to know more and more about the product. The sales of a product in the introduction stage is pretty low. The product still has the chance to grow. The market is assessed by how the consumers are behaving towards the new product and product is also improved to suit the market properly. The next stage is the growth stage. In this stage, the demand for the product starts to increase rapidly. More and more customers get to know about the product. Next is maturity stage. In this stage, there are no more scope of increase in demand. All the potential customers have been reached. The sales are highest at this stage. The last stage is the decline stage. The product demand and sales are decreasing at this point. Different types of products have different life cycles. Products that are used daily have a very long lasting life cycle. The pictures used in order to provide examples do not belong to me. Hope you learned something from this video.

Product Life Cycle
product life cycle The product life cycle is an important concept in marketing. It describes the stages a product goes through from when it was first thought of until it finally is removed from the market. Not all products reach this final stage. Some continue to grow and others rise and fall. The main stages of the product life cycle are: 1. Introduction – researching, developing and then launching the product 2. Growth – when sales are increasing at their fastest rate 3. Maturity – sales are near their highest, but the rate of growth is slowing down, e.g. new competitors in market or saturation 4. Decline – final stage of the cycle, when sales begin to fall Contents – - Product Life Cycle (PLC) - Importance of PLC - How to manage product at different stages of PLC ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
