Missing parts, poor quality, a cheap knockoff of the real Magic Mesh. Amazon Affiliate Product Link: http://amzn.to/1JusQvL
Although this product comes in a "Magic Mesh" branded box, this is clearly not the original product (which includes twelve 3-inch Velcro strips per set and is made from different materials). These sets come with only eight 1-inch Velcro squares each, which isn't enough to completely follow the directions that come in the package. UPDATE: The adhesive on the Velcro squares wasn't strong enough to hold up the mesh door and mine keeps falling off every few days. If you really want to keep the product up, you'll likely have to go buy your own adhesive Velcro or sew them onto the mesh.
You'll also receive 2 screen door panels and 8 thumbtacks for installing this on wood frames, per set. Only one of my boxes was completely missing the hardware pack (Velcro and thumbtacks) so I won't be able to install that one. Note that this mesh screen only works with single doors, so if you have a door with a storm door, you will not be able to install this screen since you will not be able to install this between the doors.
The first problem I had was that magnets on my panels didn't line up. When I forced them to line up, one panel was a full inch off form the other. Whether by chance or manufacturing process, this defect was present in both sets, so I matched the two "short" panels together and the two "long" panels together and they lined up a bit better. The panels are handmade and have random small defects in the stitching, magnet placement, and seams. I found one magnet attached on the interior of the seam, leaving a quarter inch of fabric to the outside that gets stuck between the two magnets when they come together. The fabric is very lightweight and tears easily. Once you've placed the sticky side of the Velcro on the seam, trying to remove it may tear the fabric.
Installing it was straightforward, even though you couldn't exactly follow the instructions since you have less Velcro strips than you're supposed to have. Fortunately the product is fairly simplistic and even with missing pieces and shoddy quality, it still does the job of blocking a majority of bugs from entering through a wide open door. The mesh screen opens when you walk through it and snaps back together behind you. If you have a metal door, note that when you enter through the door and the mesh is push towards the door, the magnets may stick to it, so that it does NOT close behind you and you'll have the unstick the magnets from the door manually.
While it's not a perfect seal, I doubt that you could accomplish that with this sort of product regardless of manufacturer. It will stop some bugs from flying into your home and both you and your pets can easily push through it and it will close behind you. Crawling bugs and determined ones will always find a gap to enter your home. I can't in good faith give this product a higher rating because of all the problems I had with missing parts, quality, and installation. Good products should work out of the box and this one just didn't. The concept of these doors is sound, but this particular iteration has a lot of flaws.
