The LIKE operator is used in a WHERE clause to search for a specified pattern in a column. There are two wildcards used in conjunction with the LIKE operator: % - The percent sign represents zero, one, or multiple characters _ - The underscore represents a single character Note: MS Access uses a question mark (?) instead of the underscore (_). The percent sign and the underscore can also be used in combinations! LIKE Syntax SELECT column1, column2, ... FROM table_name WHERE columnN LIKE pattern; Tip: You can also combine any number of conditions using AND or OR operators. Hello everyone! This is a review of Odin. Um, his name is actually Zeus but I'll call him Odin instead because the anti Alien one was similar to Thor (his attack animation, long hair, broken eye, etc.). This uber has almost the same ability as Mitama but he is weakening enemy. His target is all enemies with no exception! The only differences are shockwaves immunity and LD attack. At lv.30, Odin has 25,500 HP, 40,800 DMG, 5,121 DPS, and attack from 425 range. He'll 100% weaken enemies (but traitless) for 3~3.6 seconds. I know his HP isn't that high but his resistance multiple his HP (becomes 127,500; this might be higher since he reduces 50% of enemies attack power). Welp, the first test is VS Aliens. There are 2 attempts, the first one was showing his ability to weaken Alien so A-Bahamut could survive from 3 Elizabeths' attacks. Then when he fight Calamary was to show his weaken immunity. For knockback and freeze, I used him to fight Santa Nyandam & friends. Slow immunity was when he fought Sunfish Jones. Anyway, I'm so sorry that I couldn't put the text on my video because I'm kinda busy and too sleepy to edit my video. I'm worried if I force myself, there will be loads of typos. SQL Server Query writing strategies is something I have yet to find in any book. When enthusiastic SQL students do this, they experience a revelation. The number of errors drops significantly and the speed at writing complex queries increases immediately. Knowing how to narrow down what we are looking for amongst a vast list of choices helps immensely. Grabbing the right tables first and then the fields second is akin to grabbing the right menu before ordering an item from it. In fact, one student named Tim took this back to his team of SQL developers and they immediately implemented this process. We are all used to following steps. Most of the time, actions are sequential from top to bottom or left to right. Other times we complete things in phases. The two phases we are going to use in this exercise apply to joining tables. This is easy to implement as we only need remember to organize first and clean up second. When visiting a new restaurant, we will ask to see the menu, because we want to see all they have to offer. The odds are that we might be interested in half of the items, but only need a few dishes for our group at the table. Looking at the menu is like starting a query with a ‘SELECT *’ statement. Once we have looked at all the fields, we narrow our choice(s) to only the items we want at the time. Sometimes restaurants have multiple menus. My favorite restaurant has a kids’ menu, an adult menu, a gluten-free menu and a drink menu. These menus were each gathered at our table. Ultimately, in my head, a selection was narrowed to what was needed. Phase I: Organize. When building a new query from many tables, we often find ourselves wondering, “Where do I start?” First, lay the steps out by identifying which tables contain the essential data. Second, get all the table joins working with a basic ‘SELECT *’ statement. Third, add any basic filtering criteria. Phase II: Itemize. Once all joins and criteria, such as SELECT, FROM and WHERE are working, we are ready for Phase II. This entails going back and changing our ‘SELECT *’ to an itemized SELECT field list as the final step. Let’s explore how this two-phase process of Organize and then Itemize can be a big time-saver. We are going to use one of the challenges from the last lab. In Lab 3.2 (Outer Joins), Skill Check 2, we needed to get four fields from two different tables. If we were to list all four desired fields and test one table at time, we will get an error as seen on the right side of the figure below. In the figure below we write a SELECT statement and part of the FROM clause. When completed, the FROM clause will have two tables, but for now we just want to get the Location table working. By using the ‘SELECT *’ strategy, we remove any possible errors from line 1. From there, we can focus on the more complicated logic used for joining tables together. We can add tables one at a time until everything is working. This is the Organize phase. NOTE: SELECT * never results in an Error message stating “invalid column name”, however; a SELECT list with itemized field(s) can have this error. After our query is organized and working, we can go back and itemize the SELECT field list to display only the fields that are necessary. This is done during Phase II (Itemize). The steps for this system are broken down as follows: Since SELECT is always the first statement in a query, it’s natural to want to write the field names before writing the FROM clause. However; we can save time and trouble by using the ‘*’ until the entire query is working properly. When this is complete, it is very easy to itemize the field list, with the confidence of knowing it will not cause any problems. Oracle 12c Database New Features - Pluggable Database - Video 1 1. Pluggable Database * Oracle 12c introduces a new feature called 'Pluggable Database'. Here Oracle Metadata and user data are totally separated into two sections. One is Container DB (or CDB) which will hold Oracle Metadata. The other is Pluggable DB (or PDB) which will hold user data. How does a Pluggable Database work? In the regular database, Oracle's metadata and user's application data are integrated. For beginners, Oracle Metadata is the data that is present when you install a new Oracle Database (without any sample schemas). Even though it can be called as an empty database, it still has data provided by Oracle. This data is needed by the database to function. For example, the objects owned by SYS, SYSTEM are mostly metadata. Then user data is entered into that database. They will go under multiple user schemas. Now the database is being used by the users. Now a situation arises so that we need to create another database on the same server. Why? Let us say that you need to provide data to two clients. And you don't want one client to other's data. And your data is contained in an extensive set of application schemas. In this case, making a copy of those applications schemas into a different set of names and making them reside in the same database is very difficult. So, you provide two separate databases. This also ensures that there is no security violation. So, we install another new database, which comes with Oracle Metadata. Then we load the user data. In this method, which is currently being used (Year 2013), there will be a need for more memory for both the database instances. There will be two SGAs, two sets of smon, pmon and other background processes running. Then if we need to copy one database to another, we need to rely on extensive procedures which includes exporting the data from the source database first, then removing the data at the target and then finally loading the data in there. After that, we need to take care of the user security and object privileges etc. So, if you want to provide data for multiple tenants, that is multiple clients, then with the current set of features (till Oracle 11g), we have to create multiple databases. That is, one database for one client. In otherwords, there is no multi-tenancy. Multi-Tenancy is becoming an important requirement in cloud infrastructure, these days. You would like to have the ability of providing data to multiple clients from the same database system with full confidence in security. This can be achieved in Pluggable Database. In a Pluggable Database, Oracle basically separates its metadata entirely from the user data. Metadata is stored in a section called Container DB. Then the user data are stored in Pluggable DBs. It also stores user metadata in the Pluggable DB. By the way, what is user metadata? For example, earlier, the list of user accounts that exist in a database is tightly inegrated with Oracle Metadata. Now, with the separation of Container DB and Pluggable DB, the user accounts must exist in the Pluggable DB. So, the Pluggable DB not only contains user data, but also some user metadata. So, what are the benefits? * Multi-Tenancy - We can bring in two Pluggable DBs under one Container DB. Both will be totally segregated, but yet controlled by one instance. This is an important feature for SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms, Cloud, On-Demand and Vendor Managed Application solutions. * Easy cloning/copying. Now the cloning and copying the databases across servers would be much easier. Just clone a Pluggable DB and plug-it-in in a different server. * Very easy upgrades and patching.

Thus, databases are present in a wide spectrum of companies. And not surprisingly these companies recruit DBA's to look after this data. DBAs are involved in a variety of activities: a. They install and maintain databases. b. They upgrade databases to newer versions when available c. They take backups of databases so data can be recovered if a system crashes d. They also export data across databases Monitoring databases is another component of a DBAs average day. They run tests to measure the health of a database. For example databases can fill up which means that no more information can be added. When this happens work can grind to a halt. Similarly performance can become an issue resulting in Calls to Customer Service Agents which companies never want. So this means that a DBA has to also be a problem solver DBAs also plan and implement security measures to safeguard databases. Several other songs from Odessey and Oracle were released as singles prior to "Time of the Season". Columbia Records supported the album and its singles at the urging of new A&R Rep, Al Kooper. One of the singles was the uncommercial sounding "Butcher's Tale", which Columbia thought might catch on as an anti-war statement, at the time a popular trend. "Time of the Season" was only released at Kooper's urging, after previous singles flopped, and made its breakthrough in early 1969, over a year after the band split up. It reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March and #1 in Canada. It did not chart in the band's native Britain, although in mid-1969 it peaked at #2 on the South African hit parade. The song's characteristics include the unique voice of lead singer Colin Blunstone, the memorable bass riff (which is similar to Ben E. King's hit "Stand By Me"), and Rod Argent's fast-paced psychedelic improvisation. The lyrics are an archetypical depiction of the emotions surrounding the Summer of Love. It is famous for such call-and-response verses as "What's your name? (What's your name?) / Who's your daddy? (Who's your daddy?) / Is he rich? (Is he rich like me?)" approximately 50 seconds into the track. Both stereo and monaural original releases contain vocal responses. In 1998, Big Beat Records released a CD reissue of Odessey and Oracle containing both the original stereo and mono versions of "Time of The Season". It also featured a newly remixed alternate version containing instrumental backing underneath the vocals during the entire chorus. These instrumental backings had been mixed out on the original 1968 stereo and mono versions to create a cappella vocal sections. Music critic Antonio Mendez called it one of the sublime songs on Odessey and Oracle. "Time of The Season" is frequently used in pop culture to represent the late 1960s. In that sense, it is featured in the films 1969, Awakenings, A Walk on the Moon and Riding the Bullet, all of which depict the year of 1969. "Time of the Season" is played in the background of The Simpsons episode "D'oh-in In the Wind", in which Homer decides to follow the footsteps of his mother and become a hippie. In the South Park episodes "The Mexican Staring Frog of Southern Sri Lanka" and "201" it is used in flashback scenes portraying the Vietnam War. It was also featured in the 2005 film Dear Wendy, it is also referenced in the final words of Dick's letter addressed to Wendy. The song was also featured on the HBO series, Big Love. The NBC series American Dreams, which depicts the mid and late 1960s in American society, featured the song in its third season episode "So Long, Farewell". "Tell Her No" and "She's Not There", The Zombies' other major hits in the U.S., were also used in the show; the latter were included in the series' soundtrack. It is also common for the song to appear in romantic scenes, as in the aforementioned film 1969. Similarly, the Kathopanishad explains the size of God: God is bigger than the biggest and smaller than the smallest! He is the source of the energy in the smaller particle. If that was not the case how would he sit inside it. Now you have a contradiction out here. Several Upanishad verses say the same that God is bigger than biggest and smaller than smallest at the same time. Being Cloud native; being Cloud first | #datacenter by Amber Johnson | Jun 27, 2015 When Fari Ebrahimi joined Avaya, Inc., he was “asked to transform how the business gets transacted.” The senior VP and Chief Information Officer runs a “20k partner community” and seeks a “seamless experience” for his customers. Ebrahimi explained to theCUBE’s John Furrier and Dave Vellante that Oracle helps Avaya “deliver the solutions that customers are looking for.” Ebrahimi called his business a “partner engagement management” with the goal of engaging the customer from the beginning, when the lead is generated, all the way through service. An overall Cloud solution During an interview at the Oracle Platform Launch Event, Ebrahimi declared, “We want to be Cloud native. We want to be Cloud first.” Throughout this transition, Oracle played multiple roles in streamlining the partner management system for Avaya. Ebrahimi stated that Oracle was willing to work with Avaya to map out requirements and needs, as well as look at the roadmap and include requirements in that roadmap. “Oracle brought in the idea of Oracle Java Cloud that we can use to build our solutions and connect the dots … as well as integration Coud services,” he said. This allows Avaya connect to other applications in an “overall Cloud solution.” Ebrahimi said Oracle “acts like a fusion middleware.” Reducing costs by 30% Using Oracle, Avaya hopes to eliminate 80% of customization within the Cloud, consequently reducing costs by 30%. Ebrahimi described the cost-cutting process as “reducing the costs of multiple apps on different Clouds to bring it together into one place. Our goal is get near-real-time and eventually real-time,” he said.
