You want to find products which you can source cheaply either from Chinese suppliers and manufacturers on sites like Ali Express, Alibaba, Saleshoo, or domestically through something like ThomasNet. You want to find products which you can buy cheaply on those platforms and resell for more money on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, etc. My intention with this post isn't to have you run off and sell these exact products. It's to show you the process, to show you how to find items, etc. While you can probably make money just copying this exact method I would rather see you use the overall concept to find your own products and niches which you can sell. Money can be made selling random one off products, however a better way to build a longer term sustainable business with better margins, less competition, and loyal customers who make recurring purchases is to stick within a niche. Rather than selling a mixing bowl today and a tactical pen tomorrow you find a niche to settle into in which you can build content, a social media following, etc and then market and sell to that audience. If your selling all kitchen goods or cooking items people may buy multiple items from you or come back and make more purchases. If your selling a nintendo controller extension today and a pair of Yoga socks tomorrow your items are not crossover purchase items that the same consumer will buy, however if your selling multiple items in the Yoga niche for example there's a good chance the buyer who purchases Yoga socks will come back for a Yoga mat. Something I hear alot is how can we possibly compete with the low prices of Chinese manufacturers selling direct to consumers on platforms like eBay and Amazon. While that is making selling more challening, pricing isn't as big an issue as you may think. Sure someone can buy an item for $2 form a Chinese seller but it will take 4-6 weeks to arrive, the quality may be spotty, the listing probably isn't well written, and returns are difficult, often leaving the buyer paying expensive return shipping. Simply by putting together quality listings with good pictures and descriptions you can often outrank the manufacturers and sell for a higher price by that alone. You can also employ strategies like bundling products and private labeling which can also help you sell your products at higher prices than the manufacturers and suppliers are offering them for. I explain that in more detail below. Bundling refers to packaging items together. Let's take for example something like the fire starter. You can buy this for 0.20 cents and maybe sell it for a couple bucks right? Okay, well what if we now add a fire starter, a compass, a paracord bracelet and a folding credit card knife. All these items are very cheap. We could probably buy one of each for say $1. When we bundle these items together and call it a "Survival Pack" something along those lines we create added perceived value and can maybe get $16.95 for these 3 or 4 items which maybe cost us a buck and some change at most. How does private labeling add value to a product? Most people prefer buying brands as opposed to generic products. Sometimes it's because the brand product is superior, while other times peole just like a fancy name on a box. Think about it, if your at a store and your looking to buy a HDMI cable. Are you going to buy the one in the clear plastic bag with no name that just says "HDMI Cable" or are you going to buy the one in the box called "Lightening Cable" that has diagrams showing how the connections are gold, its faster than other HDMI cables, etc. Most people will probably opt for the branded item. Same thing with most other products, people want a branded product more and will typically pay a couple extra bucks to get it.

After you have found a viable supplier and product then you can start to slowly scale up. Using paypal as a payment method is highly recommended because you have buyer protection if for any reason you get scammed. Get our free ebook: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Freightos: http://wholesaleted.com/go/freightos First mistake importers make when importing products from China: Assuming that shipping by sea will be the cheapest option A lot of new importers think they will save money if they ship by sea rather than air. On the surface it seems cheaper as importers usually pay around 60 cents/KG when shipping via sea, compared to the $7/KG when shipping by air courier. Unfortunately what they don’t realize is that the reason it’s that cheap is because when shipping via sea, you ship via container, and you need to rent an entire container. They are very large and require you to be shipping hundreds of KGs to be making it worth your time. If you are an Amazon private label seller, you are unlikely to have enough stock being shipped to fill a container by at least 60-70% so it will be cheaper to ship by air. When shipping by air, you have two options: 1) Air freight 2) Air courier Air courier is when you have your items shipped door-to-door. It is the easiest but the most expensive per KG (although in smaller quantities it is cheaper). Air freight is when you have your items flown from one airport to the other. You will need to organize other additional services: * Having the items delivered to the airport * A customs broker * Having the items delivered from the airport to the final location. There are a lot of fixed fees with this which means it becomes cheaper to use air freight with larger quantities. To figure out which option will be cheaper for you, I recommend using Freightos. Second mistake importers make when importing products from China: Not using the Metric system In China, they use the Metric system and not the Imperial system. So be sure to use KGs instead of lbs and CM instead of inches. It’s important to remember that when working with Chinese suppliers that they expect you to work on their terms and their timeframes. It can be frustrating, but it’s worth it for the cheap Chinese products you import! Third mistake importers make when importing products from China: Using Less than Container Load for shipping When shipping by sea, you have two options: 1) FCL which stands for Full Container Load 2) LCL which stands for Less than Container Load Inexperienced importers fall for the trap of shipping with LCL because they see that the price are extremely cheap. What they don’t realize is that these LCL companies have special deals with the ports to charge you extremely high Destination Service Charges. The LCL companies then make their money in the form of a “rebate” which is essentially commissions/kickbacks. Destination Service Charges are usually priced per-container and cost between $500-$1000 per container for ports in the USA. But when shipping by LCL you end up paying a high fee per cubic meters. It means that you often end up paying a fee comparable to shipping an entire container. Don’t fall for this trap: If you can’t break even with FCL, then ship by air. Fourth mistake importers make when importing products from China: not calculating the correct duties you will need to pay When you import products from China, you will need to pay duties at the border. If you don’t calculate the correct rate you can get a shock if it comes back as more than you expected. Duties can be a bit complicated to work out because there are a lot of variables. For example, if you imported woolen jackets, you need to consider which country the wool came from, as some countries (like Israel) have duty-free agreements over wool, which would reduce the duties you had to pay. On the other hand if synthetic fibres were used instead of pure wool, then your duty rates would be higher since there are higher duties applied to synthetic fibres within the USA. To figure out what your duty rate is, find out what the HTS (Harmonized Tax System) code is for your item. To find this, ask your Chinese supplier as they will most likely know. You can then go through the HTS manual and find what the duty rate is for the HTS code of your products. Fifth mistake importers make when importing products from China: being afraid to make mistakes And finally - don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Through making mistakes you learn how to overcome them the next time and make even more money. Mistakes are apart of entrepreneurship. Learn from others - and learn from your own as well!

Importing from China is a fantastic way to source private label products. Chinese suppliers are high-profit, low-cost! Interested in making $10,000/Month? Download our free ebook here: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Please note: this description contains affiliate links Importing from China is something that I strongly recommend. It is much cheaper to purchase product from Chinese suppliers compared to USA suppliers. Some people find this idea very daunting, especially the cultural barrier. To help you, we’ve created this video outlining some of our top tips when importing from China. Tip #1: Order the minimal order quantity to start with when importing from China To be on the safe side, you should always start with the minimal order quantity when dealing with a new supplier. I understand that a lot of sellers want to start out by ordering larger quantities. This makes sense, because the more you order the lower the cost is per-item, and the higher your profit margins. It also means that you will have a smaller chance of running out of stock. In Spite of this, when importing from China with a new Chinese supplier, I recommend starting with the minimal order quantity (EVEN if you know it’ll sell well) because you want to test the quality. It is much harder to go from producing 1 unit to producing 200… and even harder to go from producing 200 to 1000. On that note, you should ALWAYS be ordering a test product when dealing with a new Chinese supplier! You’ll have to pay for the shipping, but it is extremely important to do this to check the quality even if the supplier has a lot of reviews on Alibaba. Tip #2: Do due diligence on the supplier That said, reviews on Alibaba are very important. When using Alibaba to source Chinese suppliers, check the reviews. Only work with suppliers that have positive reviews. Be sure to check the address of the supplier on Google Maps. Ensure that there is a factory at the address noted. If there isn’t a factory, then it is likely a middle man… which means you’re paying inflated prices, and not the at-cost price. And pick up the phone and give them a call. Make sure someone picks up the phone and talks to you (yes - this may seem obvious, but a lot of people don’t do this simple thing). Even better is if you can find people who can personally recommend Chinese suppliers to you. This way, you can work with suppliers that you can trust from the get-go. Tip #3: Build a strong relationship with your supplier and representative This is an important lesson not just when importing from China but for business and life in general. Treat people with respect and they will treat you with respect as well. Think about it: If someone was disrespectful to you, would you want to help them? On the other hand, if someone is nice to you, don’t you want to help them? Be respectful, and friendly. In addition, Chinese suppliers like you to be formal in your communication style with them. They like to be told directly that you appreciate their business and are happy with the products being produced. They will be hoping to turn you into a long-term client, and want the positive feedback, so be sure to give it to them. Tip #4: Don’t feel you need to speak Mandarin When importing from China, some people get put off by the perceived language barrier. “But I only know English… can I still import from China?” Yes - you can! Chinese factories have English representatives specifically for people like you. Their English is good and you’ll have minimal language barriers. Don’t let this stop you from profiting from the very cheap products you can source from China. Now, when importing from China there are some things you can do to minimize the language barrier. One, use short sentences, and do not include extra fluff. Be straight to the point. Two, use professional language, do not use slang. Three, be aware that there are multiple types of “English.” Four, don’t assume that your representative knows YOUR particular flavour of English. Avoid country-specific words and isms. Tip #5: Remember that when importing from China “yes” doesn’t always mean YES. In China it is considered impolite for the suppliers to say no. So, even when they want to say no… they are unlikely to, and will often say yes instead. However, this doesn’t mean it is a yes. It is a no. But they will say “yes” anyway. It is one frustrating quirk. If you sense any hesitation in their “yes” ask them the same question, be reworded differently multiple times. If you ever get a “maybe” that is almost always a no! This video tutorial will teach you how to find a supplier on Alibaba & find a Chinese manufacturer. ►► Free Ebook - Make $10,000/Month Online: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step Here are our step-by-step instructions on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Step 1: Go to Alibaba and find the search bar. Type in the name of a product that you are interested in selling. In this video I used vitamin pills as an example. Step 2: Because a lot of suppliers have duplicate listings on Alibaba for the same item (because it increases their presence in the Alibaba search engine) you will need to filter the results by clicking on “browse by suppliers.” Step 3: To filter the results down further, search by “Gold Suppliers.” Most suppliers will do this because it has become basically a prerequisite for having new buyers contact them. It doesn’t cost them much money to do this, so the results will only be filtered by a small amount. Step 4 (OPTIONAL): If the list of suppliers is still too long, then click to filter the results by “assessed supplier.” This is only necessary in very popular niches where you have a large number of suppliers that you need to filter down to a manageable amount. Step 5: Contact 10-20 suppliers at least. If you have time, then contact more. The more you contact, the better. Here is the email template referenced in our video tutorial on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: "My name is [INSERT NAME] from [INSERT BUSINESS NAME]. Our company director asked me to contact your company about working together on a lucrative, long-term venture. We are a company that sells products related to [INSERT NICHE HERE] and we do over 2 million dollars in sales each year. We’re looking to expand our product range and create a profitable partnership between your company and ours. We are planning to purchase [INSERT ITEM] to our product line. It would need to meet these specifications: * Specification (e.g size) * Specification (e.g. quantity) * Specification (e.g. colour) We have been researching different companies in China that manufacture [INSERT ITEM] and we think that your company could be a great supplier for it. We would like to get some more information and have a few questions that we would like you to please answer: * Can we please get a sample of the product as soon as possible. Can you please let us know how much you will charge for the sample, including Express shipping to [INSERT COUNTRY], zip code [INSERT ZIP CODE]? We would like to pay with PayPal. * How long will it take to receive the sample? * What types of packaging do you usually use for this product? * How long does it take to manufacture once an order has been placed? * What is the product-per-unit cost including shipping via Air Express to the United States, ZIP code 85043? * Do you accept PayPal for the full-order?" We would be very grateful if you would contact us with answers to the above questions as well as any additional policies that we may need to know. We would also like to discuss with you further about doing a sample order for the product. We are hopeful that we can start a mutually beneficial relationship. Please add me on Skype and talk to me, as this is my ideal form of communication: [INSERT ID] Alternatively you can email me back at this address: [INSERT ADDRESS] Kind regards, [NAME]” Here are some final tips to keep in mind when you are looking to find a supplier on Alibaba to manufacture your Amazon FBA private label products: Tip #1 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Don’t judge the supplier/manufacture by their Alibaba response rate. The Alibaba response rate only takes into account how fast they respond within Alibaba’s email system, and it doesn’t take into account how fast they reply to personal emails. This is not a good indicator of how responsive they will be to private communication, which is all you should care about. Tip #2 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: Avoid manufacturers that try to vet your business. If a manufacturer comes back and starts asking questions about your business, clearly skeptical of the size of your company, it is best to move on. Manufacturers that do this will usually decline to work with you as they are only to work with other large companies, so you don’t want to waste your time. Tip #3 on how to find a supplier on Alibaba: It is OK to work directly with a sales rep - if they offer you a better deal. When you are looking to find a supplier on Alibaba, you’ll discover that sales reps often have inflated prices (due to commission cuts). But occasionally, a sales rep will have a better relationship with a factory and so are able to negotiate lower prices. They will also often have good english, making communication easier. Vet sales reps and treat them as equals during the process of picking and choosing the right supplier.

Going to a tradeshow is very expensive and so a lot of legitimate suppliers do not go because it is hard to make enough money back to make it profitable. What this means is that if a supplier has gone, then it indicates they are financially is a good position (which means they are unlikely to go out of business any time soon). If your supplier is on Alibaba, you can go to their profile and check to see if they have visited any tradeshows. If your supplier is based on Aliexpress, find the brand of the item that you would like to sell and then go to Alibaba to locate the manufacturer. You can then visit the manufacturers profile page to see if they have been to a tradeshow. #2: Avoid using pictures with models If you are working with a Chinese dropshipper on Aliexpress or a Chinese supplier on Alibaba and they have stock photos that use models, we recommend that you don’t use those photos yourself. This is because Chinese suppliers have a history of illegally taking pictures from model’s social media accounts (like stealing the images from Instagram). They can get away with this in China, but in the West the model can contact Facebook/Amazon and get your ad/listing taken down. Avoid using pictures with models so that you don’t infringe on copyright. #3: Check to see if you’re working with a manufacturer, trade company or wholesaler On Alibaba you will usually encounter two types of suppliers: manufacturers and trade companies. A manufacturer is the factory that originally made the item. A trade company is a middle-man between a manufacturer/factory and you. Neither is better than the other, they both have advantages and disadvantages. The advantage with a manufacturer is that you’re going straight to the source and it’s usually cheaper. On the other hand, a trade company usually charges more since they make a commission on the sale, but their reps usually speak better english which makes communication much better (sometimes they can negotiate lower prices than if you were buying straight from the manufacturer as well so it’s good to check even if you are price sensitive). You can check what the company is in their Alibaba profile. On Aliexpress you’ll usually encounter either manufacturers or wholesalers. Manufacturers tend to brand their store their generic label brand (e.g. Transhome) and only sell products under their brands. Wholesalers will usually name their store something less generic (e.g. Mr & Mrs Store) and will sell products from a variety of manufacturers. Wholesalers are sometimes more expensive but they have a wider selection of products. #4: Recap your agreements and contracts in writing If you and your supplier are negotiating a contract or an agreement, make sure that you get your suppliers to recap it and write out the agreement in text. It’s very easy for both cultural and language differences to cause misunderstandings. Ask your suppler to recap each element of your agreement in text (either by email or by sending a copy of your contract in writing). #5 Prioritize products that have multiple manufacturers The profit margins for Chinese manufacturers is very small, because they sell their items so cheaply. That, along with the fact that doing business in China is relatively difficult means that unless a factory is well managed, it can go bankrupt and have to close. If you’re dropshipping an item or private labeling it for Amazon and your supplier goes out of business, then unless you have a backup supplier that manufactures the same item - you will have nothing to sell and your money will dry up. That is why, when choosing between products, it’s good to look for one that has multiple manufacturers and suppliers. Then, on the off-chance your supplier has to close it’s doors, you can switch to a new one - and your business can continue, and you can keep making money.

However, there is another fantastic way to do it (that unlike retail arbitrage can scale). And that is with wholesalers. How this Method Works that Allows You to Sell Other People’s Items Here is the Amazon money making formula: 1) Find hot-selling Amazon products that are being sold by wholesalers for cheap. 2) Purchase a small batch of those items from the wholesalers and send them into the Amazon FBA warehouses. 3) List yourself as a seller for these items on the Amazon product listing. 4) Become eligible for the Buy Box 5) Make money on Amazon through passive sales from free, organic traffic. Using this method, you do not need to manufacture new products. Instead, you can sell other people’s products by finding wholesalers that are selling them, buy them and resell them. What is the Amazon Buy Box? The “Buy Box” is the add-to-cart button on each Amazon product listing. What Amazon does is they rotate eligible sellers with some “Buy Box time.” That means that, each day, you’ll get a turn with the Buy Box, and you’ll be the seller that gets the sales from people using the add-to-cart button. It’s extremely important to be eligible to win the Buy Box, because about 80% of all sales on Amazon are made using The Buy Box. Very few people go through the list of other sellers and pick one from the list. How Do You Become Eligible for The Buy Box? To become eligible, you usually need to: 1) Have an Amazon account in good standing. If you are fulfilling items through the Amazon FBA program, then you’ll almost always meet this criteria because Amazon are fantastic at fulfilling orders. 2) Have a professional Amazon seller account. Individual seller accounts are not eligible for The Buy Box. 3) Your items need to be priced competitive. No one knows how close the price needs to be, but if it’s equal/within a few cents of the lowest priced item on Amazon, you should be deemed competitive enough to be eligible for the Buy Box. What Are the Advantages of Wholesale vs. Private Labeling? Neither is better than the other - they each have their own pro’s and con’s. Some of the advantages that this wholesale strategy has are: 1) You purchase from USA wholesalers. If you have found the idea of importing products from China to be intimidating, then this is a way to sell on Amazon without doing that. 2) You do not need to do any paid marketing/advertising. Instead, you piggyback off of free traffic. This is because you are finding items that are already having pre-existing sales, and listing yourself as a seller that is eligible for the Buy Box. By doing that, you will take a slice of those sales for yourself from organic, passive traffic. This is in strong contrast to private labeling where you do need to do a marketing campaign to get initial sales (once you do that though and rise up in the Amazon search results - you will make passive, on-going sales). 3) You don’t need to be creative and come up with your own brand. Fair enough. No one wants to buy products to resell that no one will buy! Here is our step-by-step process for avoiding that happening to you. Step 1: Generate a list of potentially good items to sell on eBay What we like to do here at Wholesale Ted is brainstorm a big list of potential items that might be great for reselling on eBay, and then going through each individual item and making sure it meets our criteria for a great item to relist. But brainstorming a big list of potential products to sell/list is pretty hard. So what we suggest you do is go to the Amazon Best Sellers list. Here, you’ll find the top 100 selling items in Amazon for each type of category (e.g. baby gear, outdoor furniture etc). Pick a category that interests you, and write down the items listed. Now: if you plan to buy items in bulk wholesale rates and resell them individually, I suggest you write down the generic product rather than the brand. This is because it is hard (but not impossible!) usually to find branded products in bulk, wholesale rates. But, if you plan to instead focus on thrifting or Craiglist for finding products, I recommend noting down the brand names and focusing on those. Step 2: Use SaleHoo’s Market Research Lab to identify the best items to sell on eBay Now that we’ve got our list, we want to go through each item and find the ones that have lots of buyer demand, but few suppliers. A high demand, low supply will ensure that it will be easy and profitable to sell. The way I do that is I put each item into a free tool included with a SaleHoo subscription: the Market Research Lab. Look for items that meet the following criteria: * Low seller competition * At least a 33% success rating * An average sale price of at least $10 If you find an item that doesn’t meet this criteria, cross it off your list. Keep going until you have a big list of items that do meet this criteria: these are the best items to sell on eBay. In my video I reveal one item as an example, tactical military backpacks. This had the following stats: * Low seller competition * A 44% success rating * An average sale price of over $25 Option step 3: Look for suppliers using the SaleHoo directory Want to locate cheap suppliers for the items you’ve generated on your list for steps 1-2? Then use SaleHoo’s directory list containing over 8,000+ wholesale suppliers, dropshippers and liquidators included as part of your subscription. Here is how you use it: Click “wholesale directory” in the top menu. In the search bar, type in the item you want to find suppliers for. That is it! SaleHoo will now generate a list of suppliers that sell your item. Super easy. The Problems with Finding Chinese Wholesalers Offshore sourcing can be a source of much struggle for eBay sellers and other website owners looking to sell products online. The biggest problem with sellers looking for a wholesale source is that there are too many websites that claim to be wholesalers. There is also the problem of quality of goods and services. There are too many wholesale websites out there that serve up cut-rate, poor quality products which makes consumers lose faith in the products. This is what has given Chinese imports a bad rap in the Western world. Supply may also be delayed or incomplete if the source is small or unreliable. Yet there are plenty of good quality electronics, toys, lifestyle products, apparel and other product manufacturers that Western sellers can profit from, if they know to look in the right places. This makes it worthwhile to invest in goods sourced from China. Sellers will usually find links to wholesale websites in directories of drop ship sources and wholesalers. However since many of these links are broken it leads to hours of wasted time spent on searching for a reliable and quality wholesaler offering better prices than those at home. Other issues that sellers worry about when it comes to sourcing goods from China is the certainty of supply, requisite stock quantities in time for the scheduled sales season and lead times. Sellers are afraid of losing control over these elements of their business. But there are solutions to the problem. There is a tried and tested way of sourcing Chinese wholesalers. While there is always some risk involved, there is plenty of testing along the way to ensure that the investment you will be making will give you substantial returns. The Solution: Steps to Find Real Wholesalers in China It is possible to develop a China sourcing strategy that will let you discover your own sources. This will ensure you are never at the mercy of an outdated wholesaler directory. You can buy in bulk from overseas and then sell each item one at a time to make significant profits on each product, despite shipping costs. Step 1: Conduct smart searches. If you already know what kind of products you want to sell, you can search your favorite search engine with the product name within "quotes" to narrow down your search. Look for results with phrases like 'we only sell to retailers' - these are your target manufacturers and they offer the best deals. Searches can also be made with phrases like "minimum order $300", with '$300' being replaced by your preferred minimum order amount. Other phrases related to payment to search for include "purchase order", "payment terms", "shipping FOB", "sold by pallet", "line of credit" etc. Some dealer-related search terms include "dealer account", "dealer signup", "dealer wanted", "dealer only", "become a dealer" etc. Replace the term 'dealer' in the previous phrases with 'distributor' or 'reseller' for more variations to search with. Also search for "wholesale only", "wholesale buyers only", "wholesale account", "we do not sell to individuals", "apply for distributor", "no public sales" etc. Also, since you're looking for Chinese wholesalers in particular, add the relevant site code parameters, which is "site:.cn" for websites based in Mainland China. Step 2: Know to differentiate between a scammer and a Dropshipper Know that dropshipping with big wholesalers such as Ankaka.com is only one good way of sourcing goods. Dropshipping is the process through which you sell the wholesaler's products from your website and the product is shipped directly to the customer from the wholesaler's warehouse. When an order is placed with you, you place the order with your wholesaler or dropshipper using the customer's shipping address and the product is shipped under your name with no mention of the dropshipper. Dropshipping is only one of the business models that a distributor or manufacturer may employ to sell his goods. His primary sources of income are most likely through their retail and wholesale business. There are many small sites marketing themselves as dropshippers, you may be up against some scammers. Step 3: Read the Info pages In order to further ensure that you have indeed discovered a real wholesaler and not a scammer, read the 'Contact Us' page, its YouTube channel and Facebook page. Well-established wholesalers always have some well-maintained social media pages. Step 4: Test your find When you have zeroed in on a possible source, you should dropship some items in order to test your market. If you don't know what item to test, it's always a good idea to choose from the 'New Arrivals' section. Or sort the items by 'Newest first'. Post these on eBay and test the market. When you've found the item or items that sell, you can make a bulk order to get a discount on price and save on shipping. Post them on Amazon and eBay and anywhere else that you want to sell.

This is the heart of building passive income on Amazon. Private labeling means you did something to the product to make it uniquely your brand that no one else has rights to sell. Private labeling can be done on numerous levels, and one level that I did not mention in this video is informational private labeling, where you add a manual or how-to tips to your product--information that you personally wrote, so that no one else can mimic your product. Here are the main levels of private labeling your product on Amazon: First Level: - In your listing title, add "By [Your Company Name]" - Upload your logo as one of your product photos. Make sure it is not the first photo or the last two photos. Second Level: - Have your logo printed on a sticker that you attach to your product or to the packaging. - Have your logo printed on the product or the retail packaging of your product Third Level: - Accessorizing. Add accessories to your core product that no one else is adding to theirs. A powerful way to achieve this which makes it extremely hard for competitors to compete with you is by adding a training manual or instruction tips that you personally wrote. Fourth Level: - Trademark your company name and logo. You can apply for trademarks in numerous countries simultaneously here: http://www.wipo.int/madrid/en/ Brand Registry: When you register your brand with Amazon, no one else can edit your listing and it also makes it much more difficult for competitors to claim that your product is "not authentic." Why You Shouldn’t Dropship Product #1: Because It Has Very Few Reviews The first Aliexpress product revealed in this video to avoid is very risky. It is tempting because it is making a lot of sales - indicating that there is demand for it. But with very few historical reviews, you don’t have enough information to know if a supplier will be good at fulfilling orders (especially if you start selling a lot). Will the quality of the items go down as the production goes up? Is the supplier good at shipping this item out on time? How many people truly like the item that they receive? A small number of reviews isn’t enough to make an assessment on this. It can be very tempting to sell items that have very few reviews - especially if it’s in a hot niche that lacks products. But I strongly recommend avoiding them because you’re risking getting refunds, disputes and chargebacks if the supplier can’t follow-through. Why You Shouldn’t Dropship Product #2: Because it Contains Trademarks This Star Wars mug is illegally using the Star Wars logo - a trademark they don’t have permission to reuse. Dropshipping this is very bad for two reasons: 1) The product will get removed from Aliexpress because it is illegal. It is only short-term money. 2) It’s illegal to sell it, and you are risking getting into trouble with the law by dropshipping it. Why You Should Dropship Product #3: Because it’s VERY Boring & Generic A lot of people ask us the same question: why would a customer purchase an item from your store at a markup, when they can go to Aliexpress or Amazon.com and buy it from there instead for cheaper? Won’t the potential customer price-check your item? The answer to this is that they won’t… if you focus on getting the customer to IMPULSE BUY and on creating SCARCITY. To get a customer to want to impulse buy, you need to make them have an emotional reaction to the item that they are seeing. They need to look at it and really, really want it. That is why the guitar mug that we featured in this video sells so well - because it’s the perfect item for someone the both plays guitar and loves hot drinks. Scarcity is also very important. This is when you make the customer feel that they have a limited amount of time to take an action. A good way to create scarcity when dropshipping is to run limited-time-offers, e.g. you’ll sell the next 20 products at a 60% discount. This makes the customer take action and purchase it so they don’t miss out on the 60% discount. And, because they think they are already getting a good deal, they don’t bother to price-check the item against Aliexpress/Amazon.com. But with generic/boring products, it’s very difficult to make them impulse buy because the item is not very exciting and doesn’t appeal directly to something they love. In addition, it’s very hard to create scarcity because they can buy generic/boring products from anywhere cheaply. So stick to selling unique, original, special items. Why You Shouldn’t Dropship Product #4: Because It Doesn’t Have ePacket Shipping Make sure you ship items that have 2-3 week delivery options (like ePacket) so that customers get their items faster. This will make customer support a lot easier and you’ll get less emails from unhappy customers asking where their item is. Why You Shouldn’t Dropship Product #5: It Has TERRIBLE Photos Good photos showcase what is unique and special about an item. This item (electric bottle opener) does not do this at all. The unique element to this item is that you can watch the cork go up the bottle opener. However, the pictures do not show this at all. Instead, they are just photos of the actual product itself, which looks boring. As a new dropshipper, you will want to take advantage of free stock photos that your supplier provides, which means that you need to focus on dropshipping (and testing) products that have great photos as they are the most important part of the ad and product listing. Because having an Amazon Pro Merchant Account is a necessary prerequisite to winning the Buy Box. Winning this is crucial as a new seller for two reasons: 1) About 80% of sales are made using the Buy Box - so not winning this means you miss out on crucial sales opportunities. 2) When you are the featured seller in the Buy Box the number of reviews you have are not featured, so it means that new sellers won’t be discriminated against for having little-to-no reviews by buyers. Even though it costs money compared to opening a free seller account, I strongly recommend it because you’ll make more money with one. Second thing to do BEFORE you start selling on Amazon: Have the documents ready when applying for an Amazon account When creating an Amazon account, you will need the following documents: 1) Photos of a national ID (like a passport or a drivers license). 2) A bank statement with your address on it. So before you start an account, take photos and download your latest bank statement and upload these documents when Amazon asks for them. Third thing to do BEFORE you start selling on Amazon: Act fast - DON’T wait! Amazon is regularly changing their requirements. For example… * In 2014 they changed Personal Care into a restricted category. * In 2016 they made it so new FBA sellers couldn’t send in their first shipment during the 4th quarter. * And in 2017, they changed it so you need to upload proof of ID documents during the account creation process. The sooner you get started, the easier it’ll be. Fourth thing to do BEFORE you start selling on Amazon: Pick your Amazon business model There are several types of business models to pursue when opening your Amazon store (private labeling, wholesale selling, dropshipping & retail arbitrage). Before you open your Amazon business, you need to pick the right one that meets your skillset and access to resources. For example, private labeling has the advantage of being very hands-off. But it requires a large upfront investment. While a dropshipping business takes more time to manage, but it requires a lot less money to get started. Weigh up the pros & cons. Fifth thing to do BEFORE you start selling on Amazon: Get a credit card (or a debit card) When you sell on Amazon you need to pay selling fees. To pay these, Amazon requires you have either a credit card or a debit card. You cannot use a Payoneer card or a prepaid debit card. If you don’t have this, then consider opening an Aliexpress dropshipping store on your own website. Sixth thing to do BEFORE you start selling on Amazon: Figure out a plan to manage your cash flow Don’t be afraid by the word “cash flow.” All we mean is that you need to have a plan for how you are going to pay for the items you are going to sell. Why? Because Amazon holds your money for 2 weeks as a new seller. This means: 1) If you’re dropshipping, you need to have money to use in the meantime to order the items the customer has purchased. 2) If you’re private labeling, it’s prudent to have money set aside to replace inventory if your product gets super-successful super-fast. While you could save up hundreds to thousands of dollars, the easiest way to manage this is with a credit card. If you don’t have a credit card then I recommend working on your credit score and making it a priority to get one. Seventh thing to do BEFORE you start selling on Amazon: Check if the category you want to sell in is restricted Some item categories on Amazon are unrestricted (ungated categories) and you can sell in them without submitting an application (e.g. home & gardening). But some categories are restricted (gated categories). Some categories are very easy to get unrestricted in (like clothing & accessories) but some are more difficult (e.g. food & grocery). Be sure to check before getting started. Eighth thing to do BEFORE you start selling on Amazon: Set aside time each day/week to manage/grow your Amazon business. Make sure you set aside time each day to fulfill orders & answer emails/questions. And set aside time each week to grow your business. For many this will be working on weekends. Doing this can be challenging: But it’s a right of passage that most business owners go through. So don’t get discouraged: The rewards are well worth it!

We also import products from China and we wanted to show it to you and hence this is the perfect video if you want to know what kind of product we have recently imported. We mostly import electrical products computer peripherals mobile accessories laptop accessories and things like that. Please product have heavy demand in India profit margin is also good. Please remember that it is not that easy to import products from China to Alibaba and I would request you to have some experience in selling products online and then try to import products from China. Secondly I have discussed about my educational background and what I have learnt throughout my journey in e-commerce. If you are selling products in ebay then you need to understand that you have to pay commission generated by the eBay team every month. That Commission invoice is generated every month which you need to download and pay that amount from your bank account. Remember that eBay only digits Paisa pay fee from your transaction amount have ever the actual commission is supposed to be paid by you after the end of a month. All you need is $24 for a 1-year domain & hosting registration! QUESTION: How do I dropship from Aliexpress? In this video, I show you an example of someone who is doing this, Yaro. He has offered up his store, World of Harry, as a public case study of how to build an Aliexpress dropshipping store. All you need to do is follow the simple strategy that he (and tonnes of others) use: 1. Create a store around a niche (his niche is Harry Potter). 2. Find products on Aliexpress related to your niche. 3. List them in your store for a higher price than what you’re buying them for. Make a note that shipping will take 3-4 business weeks. 4. When someone purchases the item from you, go to Aliexpress and purchase the item. Have it sent directly to your customer. 5. Profit! If you’re wondering how to dropship from Aliexpress that’s it - it is that simple. QUESTION: Wait, these are long shipping times - will the customer be willing to wait that long? ANSWER: Yes! Because you aren’t selling your item on a competitive, public marketplace like Amazon, customers can’t compare your prices/shipping times to the competition. When they enter your store, YOU set the expectations. That is why you can’t dropship using Chinese suppliers on Amazon, but you can in your own store. Tip #1 to help you learn how to dropship from Aliexpress: Use the Aliexpress affiliate program Aliexpress has an affiliate program. This means you can promote products on Aliexpress using a unique URL, and if someone buys an item after clicking on your URL, you will get a small commission cut. Buy the items your customers purchase through your own affiliate link for additional profits. This can add up to hundreds of dollars! Yaro has developed a Wordpress plugin to make this easy, and it is called AliPartnership.
