Man Finds Cave Hidden In Desert — But When He Looks Inside, He Couldn't Believe His Eyes

05:09
When a team of loggers arrived at the massive and mysterious Mt. Pulag, located in a large and beautiful jungle in the Philippines, during the late 19th century, they found a series of mysterious caves waiting for them. These caves still remain intact today, but as lovely as they may have appear, there’s truly something unsettling about them. One could say that the “sea of clouds” floating around the mountain where they were located serve as a clue to the eeriness to come… Each and every one of the caves is only accessible through narrow, winding paths and rickety footbridges alongside the mountain. In a lot of ways, it seems like something out of an Indiana Jones film… Once brave explorers step inside the enigmatic caves, they’ll uncover something truly creepy. The whole area might look like a movie set, but rest assured that it’s definitely the real deal… ----------------------------------- STORY LINK: https://www.nollygrio.com ------------------------------------ CONNECT WITH US: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nollygrionews Become a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/nollygrio On the web: http://www.nollygrio.com For inquiries, please contact: [email protected] ------------------------------------ VIDEO CREDITS: Background Music: Audioblocks: https://www.audioblocks.com Day 7: https://soundcloud.com/day7official Footages: https://www.videoblocks.com -----Audio by Scott Leffler: scottleffler.com ------------------------------------ #nollygriomystery #nollygriodiscovery

30 Unique Things That Only Happen in Saudi Arabia

07:18
Did you ever think you could serve jail time for a selfie? Well, there’s no country quite like Saudi Arabia, and while it definitely has a colorful culture, some of its traditions and rules are fascinating…. And some are just plain weird! For example, birth control is often accessible only for married women. Some pharmacies can ask for a marriage certificate before selling contraceptives! If you're a Saudi man, giving flowers to your sweetheart is also not a good idea. Here, women can only receive flowers from other women. And there are no cinemas in Saudi Arabia. The government believes that movies may give men and women inappropriate ideas. Can you imagine that? Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Saudi Arabia is located on the Arabian Peninsula. Just so you know, this is the world’s largest peninsula. And even though Saudi Arabia is the 13th largest country in the world, it still has no river! Considering the fact that it’s mostly deserts, this is a real bummer for everybody. - Despite its desert climate, snow, rain, and hail are never out of the picture. Especially, if you live in areas like Tabuk. - Also, don’t be surprised if you see a Saudi family enjoying their meals on the floor. - Saudi people take naming their child pretty seriously. They usually choose names that somehow reflect their kid’s heritage, the clan they’re from, or their extended family. - Not that long ago, the women of Saudi Arabia weren’t allowed to drive cars or even ride bicycles. However, they could easily fly planes if they wanted to. Seems logical! Thankfully, in 2018, this ban was lifted. - Universities are also packed with women. According to statistics, about 52 percent of students pursuing a bachelor’s degree are, in fact, women. - Valentine’s Day in Saudi Arabia also comes with a set of rules. Flower shops can’t sell red roses, gift shops avoid selling heart-shaped products, and girls are prohibited from wearing red to school. And if you're a Saudi man, giving flowers to your sweetheart is also not a good idea. Here, women can only receive flowers from other women. - Saudi wedding ceremonies are also not as fun as you might think. Believe it or not, they’re often held separately for the bride and the groom! The newlyweds get together only near the end of it. - Music classes are also kinda banned in public schools. Sure, the Saudi music industry is pretty dynamic, but all Saudi musicians either taught themselves how to play instruments or had to hire a tutor. - If you live in Saudi Arabia, you should also forget about crazy birthday parties. Public gatherings of any kind are completely prohibited, so your best option is having a piece of cake at home in your favorite pajamas. - When the rest of the world obsesses over oil, Saudi people know what’s good. Here, fresh water is way more expensive and valuable. However, that’s probably because all the oil in Saudi Arabia can easily fill more than 4.7 million Olympic-size swimming pools! When Hyenas Attack

12:35
These wild creatures are known for their incident at the Kruger National Park. Here are Hyenas in the wild that were encountered by humans. Support our Patreon today: https://www.patreon.com/theywillkillyou Subscribe for new videos: http://goo.gl/SaufF4 Follow us on Instagram: @theywillkillyou Voiceover by Carl Mason: [email protected] Tanzanian legends talk about evil witches that would use spotted hyenas as mounts while Middle Eastern folklore describes hyenas as vampiric creatures that attacked people at night. Yet, despite all the frightening myths surrounding them, hyenas are actually highly intelligent and fascinating creatures. Even though their behavior and morphology resemble that of canines, hyenas are actually part of the feliform order, meaning that they are closer related to felines and viverrids. They have a wolf like-build only slightly more robust in the torso and with hind legs that are much shorter than the forelegs. Hyena skulls are considerably larger and heavier than those of large canid species. 5 Erco Janse van Rensburg While camping with his parents at Kruger National Park in South Africa, teenager Erco Janse van Rensburg was the victim of a vicious hyena attack. Erco was sleeping alone in a tent next to his parents’ trailer. A hyena clamped on his face and dragged him out of the tent for almost a hundred feet. The 15-year-old was conscious throughout the attack and described hearing his bones ‘being crushed like a pack of crisps’ as the animal sat on his body preparing to feast on him. Fortunately, his uncle heard the noise and managed to chase the animal away. Hyenas are mostly found on the African continent. Spotted hyenas live throughout sub-Saharan Africa and outnumber other large predators in the Serengeti. The stripped hyena is the most widely distributed, as it can be found in Asia, the Middle East and even in southern Siberia. Hyenas are highly adaptable creatures found in habitats ranging from mountains, at heights of around 13,000 feet, to woodlands, grasslands, savannas and sub-deserts. The spotted hyena is the most social of the species. Yet, unlike the others, the females are heavier, more aggressive and dominate the males. Their testosterone production is three times greater and they have genitalia that closely resembles that of the males. 4 Hyena Attacks in Ethiopia In the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa hyenas in urban areas are a common occurrence. In 2011, hunters had to be called in by airport authorities as a pack of hyenas were becoming a threat to planes landing and taking off. In 2014, there were at least six dens found near the city center and anywhere from 300 to 1,000 hyenas believed to be living in the city. People living and sleeping on the streets were most at risk. Staff from a volunteer clinic have reported people frequently coming in whose fingers and toes had been gnawed by hyenas while they were passed out under the influence of drugs or alcohol. One hyena snatched and killed the infant son of a woman camping near the Hilton Hotel. In another case a man had to be taken to the hospital after a hyena had scalped him while he was sleeping, leaving the skin from his head hanging down over his eyes. 3: Hyena Treatment One report from Somalia described a drastic traditional treatment for mental illness that some have described as barbaric. A Dr. Hab told a news outlet ‘There’s a belief in my country that hyenas can see everything including the evil spirits that people think cause mental illness.’ It’s been estimated that one in three people from Somalia suffer from some form of mental illness. In legends hyenas are often depicted as creatures to be avoided, a concept that may be rooted in fact as both the stripped and spotted hyena are known to be man-eaters. In fact, hyenas and their ancestors have been attacking humans since prehistoric times. Human hair was found in fossilized hyena dung, dated 195,000 to 257,000 years ago. Women, children and sick or infirm men are among their most frequent targets. 2 Moses Lekalau 35-year-old Kenyan herdsman Moses Lekalau was returning to his homestead with his cattle in Maralal, a safari area roughly 160 miles north of Nairobi. As he walked along a forest path, he was attacked by a lion. Before he even got a chance to recover, he was attacked once more, this time by a pack of hyenas. 1: Hyena Men Nigeria’s hyena men, also known as Gadawan Kura travel all over the country selling their herbal medicine which they claim cures stomach pains and malaria. To promote their products, these men put on street shows featuring baboons, snakes and hyenas. This is a tradition passed down in their families from generation to generation.

America - A Horse With No Name+Lyrics

04:08
A Horse With No Name On the first part of the journey, I was looking at all the life. There were plants and birds. and rocks and things, There was sand and hills and rings. The first thing I met, was a fly with a buzz, And the sky, with no clouds. The heat was hot, and the ground was dry, But the air was full of sound. I've been through the desert on a horse with no name, It felt good to be out of the rain. In the desert you can remember your name, 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain. La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la After two days, in the desert sun, My skin began to turn red. After three days, in the desert fun, I was looking at a river bed. And the story it told, of a river that flowed, Made me sad to think it was dead. You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name, It felt good to be out of the rain. In the desert you can remember your name, 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain. La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la After nine days, I let the horse run free, 'Cause the desert had turned to sea. There were plants and birds, and rocks and things, There was sand and hills and rings. The ocean is a desert, with its life underground, And a perfect disguise above. Under the cities lies, a heart made of ground, But the humans will give no love. You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name, It felt good to be out of the rain. In the desert you can remember your name, 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain. La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la

Kalahari Bushmen | African Tribes

03:19
▶ SUBSCRIBE! http://bit.ly/PlanetDoc Full Documentaries every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday! The bushmen once ranged over the entire continent, but they were displaced by Bantus pushing south. They took refuge in the Kalahari and namib deserts long before the arrival of the Europeans. Those who did not reach safety in the desert were exterminated or enslaved by the Bantus and the white people. It’s not surprising that the majority have alcohol problems. Luckily there are still some families holding onto their culture and traditions… including their hunting methods. Their most powerful weapon comes from under ground. Using metal bars they dig holes looking for the round objects that they’ll use to prepare a powerful poison. Back at camp, the men prepare to make the poison mixture. Then they chew the roots of the poisonous sansevieria plant and mix the resulting paste with the insides of the larvae and the seed powder, producing a liquid powerful enough to kill anything. All that's left is to apply the poison to some arrows. With the performance of the appropriate ritual, the spirits will show the way to find game. This is considered necessary in order to bring good luck and keep bad spirits away. The hunt has begun. They have hit a male oryx. If the arrow has hit a sensitive area, such as the neck or the lungs, the oryx will fall down dead in a matter of hours, but if not, the slow chase can go on for several days. The arrow punctured the oryx's left lung, resulting in a slow, painful death. The Bushmen are, in fact, extremely respectful of their natural environment, as many anthropologists have pointed out. This meat will provide enough food for a couple of weeks. They preserve it by smoking, and it belongs to the community as a whole. ▶ SUBSCRIBE | http://bit.ly/PlanetDoc ▶ FULL DOCUMENTARIES | http://bit.ly/Full-Docs ▶ TRIBES DOCUMENTARIES | http://bit.ly/PlTribes ▶ FACEBOOK | http://bit.ly/FBPDoc ▶ TWITTER | http://bit.ly/TwPDoc ▶ TUMBLR | http://bit.ly/TbPlDoc

21 EASY AND COOL CHOCOLATE IDEAS

07:52
COOL CHOCOLATE IDEAS You can decorate almost any dessert with chocolate. Decorating Cakes with Chocolate is quick, easy and all you need is chocolate chips, a sheet of parchment paper and something to pipe it with; either a ziploc bag, or if you have one, you can use a frosting baggy with a pointy tip (to be completely un-technical). The recipe for the cake photographed above is posted here. Now imagine how pretty this would look over an espresso creme brûlée; Eh, eh?! Ingredients/ tools for Decorating Cakes with Chocolate: 1/2 to 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (this also works great for white chocolate decorations) 1 sheet of parchment paper 1 frosting bag Pointy tip or a ziplock bag Decorating Cakes with Chocolate: 1. Place a sheet of parchment paper on your counter (the least expensive parchment paper is at Costco). 2. Melt 1/2 cup or chocolate chips in the microwave or stovetop (more if you are doing a larger project). Don’t overheat it and check by stirring because the chocolate chips hold their form even if they are hot. If you overheat it, they will crumble and get dry. 3. Transfer your melted chocolate to your piping bag. If it’s a ziploc bag, cut a tiny hole by snipping the very corner of the bag; you can always make the hole bigger but you can’t make it smaller. 4. Pipe your design onto your parchment paper. For more detailed designs, one of my readers suggested that you can print your design on computer paper, then place your parchment paper over the printer paper and trace over it. If you mess up a few times; don’t worry about it; it’s not like you’re piping it onto your cake. 5. Put a cutting board under your parchment paper and transfer it to your freezer for 5 minutes or until chocolate hardens. 6. Now carefully peel it off the paper and transfer it to your cake. It’s easiest to transfer it while it’s still very cold from the freezer (less chances of your 3D chocolate breaking during assembly). Gosh it’s so easy. It’s too easy! You can also write out chocolate letters so you don’t destroy your cake if your “Happy Birthday” is uglier than you imagined it would be (been there) or if your flower ends up looking like a creature (done that). If you try this and share a picture on Instagram or Facebook, do let me know. I’d love to see your creative designs! Six Reasons Why Men Are Avoiding Marriage, with Helen Smith, Ph.D.

Men are sensing the backlash and are consciously and unconsciously going "on strike." They are dropping out of college, leaving the workforce and avoiding marriage and fatherhood at alarming rates. The trend is so pronounced that a number of books have been written about this "man-child" phenomenon, concluding that men have taken a vacation from responsibility simply because they can. But why should men participate in a system that seems to be increasingly stacked against them? As Men on Strike demonstrates, men aren't dropping out because they are stuck in arrested development. They are instead acting rationally in response to the lack of incentives society offers them to be responsible fathers, husbands and providers. In addition, men are going on strike, either consciously or unconsciously, because they do not want to be injured by the myriad of laws, attitudes and hostility against them for the crime of happening to be male in the twenty-first century. Men are starting to fight back against the backlash. Men on Strike explains their battle cry.

12 Mysterious Creatures

07:27
12 Strange animals or creatures caught on camera you won't believe the mysterious things that people actually got photos of! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 7. Unknown Creature In April of 2015, this strange looking animal was discovered and captured by the Department of Drainage in China’s Shenzhen Reservoir. The footage was uploaded to YouTube and in it you can clearly see that this creature is in distress, trying to chew its way to freedom. Locals claim that this could be a mythical “water monster” while others speculate more rational thoughts such as the possibility of it being a Malaysian bear that is afflicted with alopecia. Alopecia is an incurable condition that causes one’s hair to fall out. Others suggest it looks this way because of pollution in the reservoir, though, no word on the creature’s identity. 6. Indonesian Bigfoot? Back in October of this year, footage shot in the southeast Asian country of Indonesia shows what appears to be a large figure walk behind the waterfall in the background and disappearing. Like with all these mysterious creature sightings, the quality of the footage was very distorted and unclear but the figure can still be made out. Some conspiracy theorists are calling this thing the real deal and possibly bigfoot, which has only been “spotted” here in the US. Others are highly doubtful of this being anything but fake. Still, no one is quite sure what this thing could be. Definitely, not a bear, as with most bigfoot sightings are usually because large bears don’t live in Indonesia. 5. Strange Desert Creature Footage of what appears to be a bizarre looking creature making its way through the Portuguese desert was uploaded to the internet back in July of this year and managed to gain an impressive number of views, 200,000 of them to be precise. In the video, you can see a bipedal creature walking on its two long legs and then disappearing behind a bush. The video then zooms out to show some nearby cars and human activity. Many of the locals claim that this video is nothing more than just fake due to the poor quality and that someone must have a little too much time on their hands. Others guess it might be the chupacabra. What do you all think? 4. Another Bigfoot? It was sometime in 2015 when this video was filmed and it wasn’t until this year that the video was posted online under the Youtube channel named Bigfoot Encounters. Since it was posted more than a few months ago, it’s managed to attract over 700,000 views. The footage was shot by a man who put a GoPro on his dog’s back and let him wander in the forest. The clip is only around 13 seconds long and you can see a dark figure move past the screen as the dog turns its head. Based on the dog’s reaction, which there isn’t one, it’s safe to say that this “bigfoot” is probably just the dog’s owner walking ahead. 3. Tasmanian Tiger? The Tasmanian tiger was an animal that once lived on the Australian mainland before becoming extinct there and all together sometime in the 20th century, 1936 was the year they were officially declared extinct. Ever since then, many people have believed that they’ve managed to capture a member of the long-dead species. The video that this image is from was captured by the Victorian Wildlife Research/Rescue. The long slender tail suggests it could potentially a Tasmanian tiger says experts but a researcher named Catherine Kemper from the South Australian Museum said this is extremely unlikely. Guess we'll just have to wait for more advancements in animal cloning. 2. Floating Light This still image was taken from a video surveillance camera of a gas station in Peru that captured the following event that took place back in early September. In the two and a half minute video, you can see two men conversing with each other, while in the background there happens to be a strange orb of light that’s oddly shaped just floating towards the right further and further. One of them men notice it and eventually they try to go and get closer to it. As they do so, the video then ends. Some speculate this could be an alien, while others think it’s nothing more than a light fooling the two men. 1. Alien On Mars? Do you all remember when that 6-inch skeleton found in the Atacama Desert in Chile sparked all those insane rumors that alien life forms had crashed landed here on earth? Well, apparently “alien investigators,” think that they found something that could be related to that incident. Earlier this year, these self-proclaimed alien sleuths, one of them going by the Youtube username Paranormal Crucible pointed out what appears to be an alien-looking creature peeking out from behind a rock in this image taken by NASA’s curiosity rover. However, NASA just claims its nothing more than an illusion but could that be to hide some decades-long government secret? Who knows?

Desert of Skeletons. Full Documentary | Planet Doc Full Documentaries

The bushmen and himba tribe live in contact with nature we learn their rare customs and culture through a tour of the skeleton coast. SUBSCRIBE! http://bit.ly/PlanetDoc Full Documentaries every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday! FULL DOCUMENTARIES | http://bit.ly/Full-Docs The Skeleton Coast marks the limit of a desert which covers a narrow strip, no wider than 200 kilometres, running from southern Angola to the Orange river, the border with South Africa. 02:22 Like a coastal belt, the dunes and rocks of the Namib desert cover 250,000 square kilometres along more than 2,000 kilometres of the Atlantic coast of Namibia. 06: 39 The first European to set foot on this coast was the Portuguese, Diego Cao, in 1486. But it was not until 1883 that the first stable settlement was established, when the German navigator and merchant, Adolf Lüderitz, reached an agreement with the head of one of the Nama tribes. Lüderitz bought the bay for a relative small amount of money and sixty rifles, in order to set up a whale processing plant here. A few months later, Kanzler Bismark declared Namibia a protectorate of the German Empire. In 1904, war broke out between the Nama and the Germans, and Lüderitz became the first prisoner of war. The town is surrounded by almost endless diamond deposits, but these are transported directly to South Africa, and have very little influence on the local economy. 13:50 Chonwati is a small settlement, inhabited by just four families, a total of 14 people. The Bushmen live in small, scattered groups, adapting to whatever the land can offer, the natural resources. 19:13 The four Bushmen get ready for the hunt. Their most powerful weapon is to be found below ground. 24: 19 Seven hundred kilometres northwest of Chonwati, in a remote, mountainous region called Kaokoland, lie semi-arid lands where a cattle-rearing tribe has settled permanently. The Himba are one of the most interesting, and most intact tribal groups in Africa. 2812 Polygamy is practised among the Himba, and Komané may have sexual relations with whoever she wants, provided she asks her husband for permission. But it is important for a woman to be the first wife, as this confers certain privileges, such as the care of the sacred fire, which give her a more dignified status. 32:13 There is only one thing more important for the Himba than their physical appearance: the cattle. They are the basis of their economy and a subject which arouses a great deal of passion and rivalry. It is more than a merely economic activity, affecting also political, social and religious aspects of life. 38:48 Tobacco and Dagga, or marihuana, are also important elements in the culture of the Bushmen. 40:42 The hunt has begun. They have hit a male oryx. If the arrow has hit a sensitive area, such as the neck or the lungs, the oryx will fall down dead in a matter of hours, but if not, the slow chase can go on for several days. 49:20 In the village of Chonwati, Kushai, Samgao, Tuka and Bo relax with their families around the sacred fire. With this dance, they give thanks to the good spirits for the success of the hunt and the abundance of food. Why girls love a bad boy! (then complain there's no good men left)

08:12
Attention girls: if you've ever chased a bad boy. Or if you think there are no good guys left - please watch this for your own sake. To qualify: I do not condone women falling for bad boys at all - I'm just explaining why I think it's a trend. If you can answer the question: what are the qualities that make a bad boy attractive, and which of those traits are actually good? Then you can see that the only reason you can't find the good men, is because they just don't be loud about it, so you don't see them. Sorry about the varying lighting. Can't control the sun. Turned the mic up - is the sound better? Twitter @_georgiafree

Being that the Desert Hairy is nearly 4 times the size of the Stripe-Tailed, most people assume it also carries the more painful sting. However in scorpions, size doesn’t necessarily matter when it comes to their venom’s potency. So which sting is ultimately the more painful of the two? Good Men Are Hard to Find - MGTOW

Good Men Are Hard to Find - MGTOW Why are good men so hard to find? https://beta.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/why-are-good-men-so-hard-to-find/article36365252/ Men not marrying? How deep does "the problem" go? https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/yet-another-why-are-good-men-hard-to-find-article/ Yet Another 'Why Are Good Men Hard to Find" Article https://www.mgtow.com/forums/topic/yet-another-why-are-good-men-hard-to-find-article/ MGTOW Mystery Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIrVgKtktfA Hi Everyone Sandman Here, This video is brought to you by a donation by someone named Umet and he says it was just because with no topic. So that allows me to cover an article I recently came across up here in Canada called: "Why are good men so hard to find?" It's another one of those opinion pieces that attempts to shame the non-existant male readership of modern newspapers. The average reader of newspapers is in his late forties or early fifties or even older so all these where have all the good men gone articles are falling on deaf ears. Or no ears whatsoever. The article says that women in their mid thirties are suffering because of a lack of eligible and responsible guys out there. None of the blame is put on women because they are old and all the good men are already gone. That's usually when women's good options start to dry up, along with their breast milk. The author of this piece, an older woman named Margaret Wente says that older women should be grateful they aren't one of today's early to mid-30s single women. Margaret says that the online dating market has made things easier . . . for men. Here's a brief paragraph from the article so you know where it's coming from and I quote: "Single women are more equal and empowered than ever before. They have unparalleled sexual, reproductive and economic autonomy. In many ways, they're doing much better than the men. (Just look at the lopsided university graduation rates, which are now around 60-40 in favor of women). And yet, large numbers of young women admit their private lives are a sad mess. If you're a gender studies major, stop reading here. You're going to hate what I've got to say next. I don't like it much myself. 10 images licensed and paid for through BigStock.com. Binging with Babish: Strudel from Inglourious Basterds

Hans Landa is the sherlock-pipe-smokin', famous-actress-chokin', Brad-Pitt-pokin' SS detective we all love to hate. Sure he massacred Shosanna's family right in front of her, but hey, guy knows not-so-terrible strudel when he sees it. Follow along this week as we make old-school Viennese apfelstrudel, and don't forget the cream. Mix with fingers until just combined, and sprinkle with water. Knead until a sticky dough forms. Turn out onto a lightly floured tabletop, and knead rigorously (slap onto the table about 100 times), until the dough is soft and supple. Place in a lightly oiled bowl and let rest for 30 minutes. Combine apples, sugar, lemon zest, raisins, and cinnamon. Set aside and let liquid weep from apples. Cover a large table with a cotton tablecloth, and liberally dust with flour. Roll out dough on tablecloth until about 24" in diameter, and using floured fists, stretch dough out as large as possible without tearing. Back on the tablecloth, gently tug at edges of dough until it's a rectangle thin enough to see the pattern of the tablecloth underneath. Trim off torn/thick edges. Drizzle with melted butter, and brush until evenly coated. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Place about 3/4 of apple mixture on one side of the dough rectangle, and using the tablecloth, roll the apples over onto the dough square. Brush the newly-exposed dough covering the apples with melted butter. Roll apples over again, and repeat, until apples are at the center of a long, closed roll. Pinch ends together to seal contents inside, and place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush liberally with a beaten egg. Bake for about an hour, basting with melted butter every 10-15 minutes, as soon as the crust begins to look dry. Remove from oven when golden brown. Allow to cool at least one hour before slicing, dusting with powdered sugar, and serving. In a small bowl, combine cream and sugar. Beat to stiff peaks, and pipe into a bowl, served alongside strudel.

Full Documentary. The Men of Fifth World - Planet Doc Full Documentaries

50:44
In this documentary we know the culture of Australian Aboriginal tribes. SUBSCRIBE! http://bit.ly/PlanetDoc Full Documentaries every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday! FULL DOCUMENTARIES | http://bit.ly/Full-Docs The Men of the Fifth World is a documentary that shows us the history, culture and traditions of the Australian aborigines, primitive tribes who inhabit these lands. The old Garimala Yakar, tells firsthand how their world is accompanied by the sound of the didgeridoo, the beat of their tradition, which keeps them together and attached to the land. These tribes have had to defend their country from the impositions of the white man when he came to Australia for the first time. The aboriginal culture has faded over time but they never cease to tell their story to the youngest and keep the hope that someday find their truth. In the Kakadu National Park lies Ubirrok, where the Rainbow Serpent stopped after creating the world and was painted on a rock so that people could see her. Over time our forefathers left on the rocks a complete collection of images which depict their way of life and their beliefs. On these ancient rocks they also drew figures of the men of that time, warriors and hunters, who used the same spears and harpoons as we do now. We share our land with all types of animals, some of them as dangerous the kangaroo is the most characteristic animal of my country. When we get together to dance around the fire, we sing the dreams of the animals, the stories of how they were created. Those that dance and sing paint their faces and bodies with kaolin, to look like the spirits which, according to our beliefs, are of a grey colour. The dance of the women is slower and more measured. They are normally in a state of trance, possessed by the spirits of the forest which protect them. The didgeridoo It’s our sacred instrument. The men who know how to play it are very important in our culture. With the didgeridoo they communicate our wishes to the spirits. And they call on them to come to our aid when tragedy befalls us. This sacred instrument brings us closer to the world of our ancestors. It is difficult to play, because you have to blow constantly, using the technique of circular breathing. The didgeridoos are made by the ants. Our land, here in northern Australia, is the kingdom of the ants. Our people were nomads, always moving from one place to another, carrying their few belongings with them. That is why we know the forest so well. In the forest, we know how to get everything we need. The men have always hunted and fished, while our women are expert gatherers. They know where to find edible fruits and roots, and how to get honey. The women have always worked in the forest, carrying out these tasks. No one knows nature like they do. Their work is very dangerous. They often come across the king brown, one of the most poisonous snakes in the world, its bite is always fatal. Hunting and war have always been men’s work, and they have always made their own weapons. Without a doubt, the boomerang is the best known of these. They are pieces of wood carved with a slight curve, which makes them more accurate when they are thrown. In fact, the spear is our best weapon. We used them in our fight against the white men who invaded our country and drove us off the land that belonged to us. Our spears claim other victims. When the tide goes out, we fish for the dangerous sting rays. These are manta rays that hide in the sand, ready to plunge their enormous stings into anyone who dares disturb them. Our coasts are full of animals, which traditionally provided us with food. When we have speared an animal, we throw a buoy into the water, with a long rope tied to harpoon. Whenever they catch a giant turtle, the fishermen arrange a feast, right there on the beach, to which all their relatives are invited. “My people have always felt the need to express themselves through painting, now and since the beginning of time. Our art, now called aboriginal art by the white man’s tourist industry, is born from the dreams of each artist and the intense colours we see in our land. Near the city of Darwin, my people call to the spirit of the king of the crocodiles with piercing cries. It is a dance of invocation. It is performed whenever someone has to travel to an area where the powerful sea crocodiles live. They ask for its permission and protection, but the great spirit is always asleep, and so they have to cry out to wake him, so that he knows that people have gathered together to dance in his honour.
