Travel Across Japan Solo GoPro

1 Month traveling Japan alone, discovering the beauty and excitement this incredible country has to offer! This was my second time visiting Japan but first time completely by myself and outside of Tokyo. I was so thankful to meet new friends there. I visited Kyoto, Shirakawa, Osaka, Kawazu (Shizuoka), Nara and of course many parts of Tokyo. This trip changed my life and helped me a lot with my anxiety. It was a huge awakening for me and I hope to inspire anyone, especially women, to travel to Japan - both with friends and by yourself. There is endless discovery around every corner! Check out my blogs for more information about every location you see here! I just started it so new entries will be added. toystraveljapan.wordpress.com or for my collection, SailorMoonLife.com! Cycling 70km Across 6 Islands In Japan | Shimanami Kaido Travel Guide

12:57
Shimanami Kaido is one of Japan's most famous cycling routes connecting the main island Honshu with Shikoku. Ever since I heard about this bikeway a few months ago, I knew I had to travel there some day to experience it for myself!! So, I packed up my bags, bought a Shinkansen ticket and took a spontaneous trip down to Onomichi, Hiroshima. Shimanami Kaido Bikeway runs between Onomichi in Hiroshima Prefecture and Imabari in Ehime Prefecture, hopping across 6 islands of the Seto Inland Sea. You can start your journey from either the Hiroshima side or the Ehime side. I started from the Hiroshima side because the views get better and better as you go along towards Ehime. So, hope you enjoy the new adventure with me and let me know in the comments something you have always wanted to do!! And then MAKE time for it and actually go do it! :D Join me on Patreon for bonus videos, live streams and much more! ☺ https://patreon.com/internationallyME ------------------------------------------------------------- ➱ CONNECT WITH ME INSTAGRAM https://instagram.com/internationallyme TWITTER https://twitter.com/NZ2JAPAN ➱ MUSIC Savfk - Reloaded Feel the same way Faith Road Trip - Bou Bou Broke For Free

Takayama to Kyoto by Bus | Japan Travel Vlog

14:41
Join us for another Japan travel vlog as we head from Takayama to Kyoto by bus. After a torrential downpour in Takayama for days on end buses and trains had been canceled for days. It appeared our bus was going to be canceled as well so we prepared to stay an extra night in Takayama. Fortunately, for us, the highways had been inspected thoroughly - after the heavy rains - and we were given the green light to head to Kyoto. For dinner on the bus, I quickly grabbed sushi with salmon, chips, snickers and mango snacks from Family Mart. The bus journey itself was the most scenic we've been on in Japan. We passed through quaint villages, meandered through mountain tunnels and gasped at the lakes, rivers and forests we saw along the way. At one of the rest stops, we saw the biggest collection of Japanese vending machines in one area selling coffee. As we continued the journey the landscape turned from mountains to farmland with bigger cities along the way. I ended up grabbing more sushi which ended up being really disappointing. We ended up arriving in Kyoto earlier than we had anticipated at 9:15 pm. After trying to figure out local transportation, we gave up too exhausted and confused and decided to just leg it to our apartment. It ended up being a longer walk than we had anticipated so by the time we arrived at our apartment in Kyoto we just went straight to bed. We pick things up in the morning for breakfast at Komika's Coffee serving contemporary Japanese breakfast serving Danish pastry with soft serve ice cream. I got toast with red Azuki beans with an iced coffee. Our apartment in Kyoto was small but tidy with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and tiny dining area. The price for the bus tickets was $40 USD per from Takayama to Kyoto. If you're looking to save money taking the bus in Japan is a good travel option. * * * * * * * * * * GEAR WE USE Panasonic GH5: http://amzn.to/2yqTUyi Canon G7X ii: http://amzn.to/2yqtM6B Rode Video Micro: http://amzn.to/2wTguTM Joby Gorilla Pod: http://amzn.to/1PgoY5F SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro: http://amzn.to/25KEErs * * * * * * * * * * SOCIAL MEDIA & TRAVEL BLOGS AUDREY: blog: http://thatbackpacker.com/ instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thatbackpacker/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thatbackpacker twitter: https://twitter.com/ThatBackpacker SAMUEL: blog: http://nomadicsamuel.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nomadicsamuel twitter: https://twitter.com/NomadicSamuel instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nomadicsamuel/ * * * * * * * * * * Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a vlogging travel couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world. Our most recent trip was to Japan where we spent 2 months traveling around the country and visiting the following destinations: Osaka, Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Nikko, Takayama, Yokohama, Odaiba, Shirakawa-gō and Takao. During our stay, we visited a mixture of big cities and small rural towns, where we enjoyed eating Japanese street food, trying traditional Japanese cuisine, visiting local attractions and staying in unique accommodations (such as capsule hotels and ryokans) that we are now going to share with you on this channel. The combination and contrast of visiting futuristic cities and traditional countryside areas is what makes travel to Japan so fascinating. Ultra modern versus traditional. This is the essence of Japan. Our trip to Japan was unforgettable and until now it is one of our favorite countries that we have come to know. However, we only feel as though we just scratched the surface on this trip to Japan. If you want to see more videos from Japan in the future, let us know in the comments that places you'd like us to travel to and food experiences you would like to see on this travel channel. Have you traveled to Japan before? What was your experience like? Please share your Japan travel tips, advice and experiences in the comments below. Thanks again for watching our Japan series! How to Use the Tokyo Subway | JAPAN TRAVEL GUIDE

12:27
In this video, I show you everything you need to know in order to use the Tokyo Metro System effectively. It can be complex and intimidating if it's your first time in Tokyo, so hopefully this video will simplify it for you, from buying tickets to finding your destination. Don't be scared of Tokyo Subway! It's probably one of the world's most efficient transportation systems, and can get you anywhere! This is the first video of my Japan Guide series, so stay tuned for more tips and tricks for traveling/moving to Tokyo, Japan! I have people asking how to calculate their fare for a specific trip, you can use Google Maps which tells you the single ticket fare, so you will pay 5-10Yen less if you are using an IC card. You can also use Tokyo Metro's calculator which tells you all different fares but only available for Tokyo Metro lines (so excluding TOEI/JR lines): http://www.tokyometro.jp/en/ticket/search/index.php EXTRA INFO YOU MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN: Links to download apps (don't worry, not sponsored!) Google Maps (you can also use the web version): goo.gl/BsX25s Tokyo Subway: goo.gl/vyqi3M Day Pass Prices (prices as of the day this video was upload Tokyo-Metro-Only 24h Pass - 600 Yen Tokyo Metro & Toei 1-day Pass - 1000 Yen Everything 1-day Pass - 1590 Yen TOURIST-ONLY Tokyo Metro & Toei Passes - 800 Yen for 24h, 1200 Yen for 48h & 1500 Yen for 72h (available for purchase at Haneda & Narita Airports, select BIC CAMERA stores, travel agencies, etc. More about this pass: https://goo.gl/HWJLps) TIPS FOR SAVING $$$ 1. Stick to Tokyo Metro lines only - these 9 lines should get you to all touristic destinations (some may require slightly longer transit time, but it won't be much longer than the more expensive route) 2. Avoid buses if you are just traveling - they are expensive and doesn't provide free transfer to metro 3. Buy a combo pass if you arrive from Narita or Haneda Airport, they can save you a lot of money. More info: https://goo.gl/YxiVpo 4. Group together sights that can only be accessed by subway within the time period limited by the 24h/48h/72h metro pass. Go to sights that are accessible by foot on other days 😺😺😺 Don't forget to subscribe to see more from me!!! 😺😺😺 !!! FOLLOW ME for daily updates !!! Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tokiyuyu/

With an emphasis on capturing photography and video of aesthetic locations during the winter time, this journey aims to inspire people to visit the beautiful urban and rural destinations of Japan! This second episode in this Japan travel series continues our journey from Sakurambo-Higashine through Ōmiya to Unazuki-Onsen via the Kurobe Gorge and then onto Takayama and Shirakawa-go. We visited Unazuki-Onsen for the Kurobe Gorge Scenic Railway, however, we accidentally overlooked the operating times of the railway, as it is fully closed during winter. Regardless of the closure, we still had a fantastic time in Unazuki-Onsen, exploring the quiet town and capturing photos of the bridges and mountain viewpoints. We took a few trains south to Takayama along an insanely scenic and wintry route. The weather wasn't in our favour, but Takayama still surprised us with its unique character. We felt vibes similar to Kyoto and enjoyed exploring the old town, even if it was miserably wet. To conclude this episode, we visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Shirakawa-go. This traditional Japanese village has been preserved in authentic beauty, with quaint stylings such as thatched roof buildings and open natural areas. This whole trip and itinerary was planned and paid for independent of any tourism boards or businesses. 25 Things To Do in Tokyo, Japan (Watch This Before You Go)

18:20
Get info about things to do, where to stay, and the best food to eat on your visit to Tokyo, Japan. Here's the guide: https://migrationology.com/tokyo-travel-guide-for-food-lovers/ Tokyo (東京), Japan, is one of the world's greatest cities, and there's so much to do and see when you visit. From temples and shrines, to gardens and museums, you'll never run out of attractions. Out of all the things you could do, I've chosen a top 25 list for this awesome city (and just so you know food is my first choice in Tokyo)! 1. Ameya-Yokochō (アメヤ横丁) - A giant open air market that offers clothes, cosmetics, food, and restaurants and bars. 2. Meiji Shrine (明治神宮) - This Shinto shrine, surrounded by beautiful forest, is extremely significant. 3. Ryogoku Kokugikan (両国国技館) - Even if it's not fight season, you can go to the free sumo museum and eat sumo chankonabe. 4. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (新宿御苑) - The garden is a beautiful attraction in Tokyo, with French gardens, Japanese gardens, and a green house. 5. Ginza (銀座) / Yurakucho (有楽町) - Ginza is a great area of town for upscale shopping and dining, while Yurakucho is famous for Izakaya bars and restaurants under the railroad track. 6. Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (東京都庁舎) - There are a lot of things to do in Tokyo where you have to pay, but here, you can go to the 45th floor for free. 7. Tsukiji Market (築地市場) - One of the most famous attractions in all of Tokyo is the Tsukiji Market (築地市場), the biggest seafood market in the world. 8. Shibuya (渋谷区) - With the busiest intersection in the world, Shibuya (渋谷区) is also home to shopping and restaurant. 9. Sumida River (隅田川) - At Tokyo's Sumida River, you can either just walk around the park and enjoy the riverside views, or you can take the Tokyo Cruise in a boat. 10. Tokyo Imperial Palace (皇居) - This is the home of the emperor of Japan. To enter the grounds, you have to make a tour booking on the official website 11. Ueno Park (上野公園), Tokyo National Museum (東京国立博物館) - Ueno Park is a huge public park in Tokyo with shrines, gardens and a number of museums. 12. Tokyo Skytree (東京スカイツリー) - They call it Tokyo's biggest attractions. It's a huge communications tower with various viewing decks and galleries. 13. Harajuku (原宿), Takeshita Street (竹下通り) - Famous for its street market and cosplay that takes place, this is a place in the city to see and be seen. 14. Senso-ji (金龍山浅草寺) - Visiting this temple is one of the top things to do in Tokyo, frequented by both tourists and religious pilgrims. It's the oldest temple in Tokyo. 15. Edo-Tokyo Museum (江戸東京博物館) - It looks a little like a UFO, but it's one of Tokyo's main museums, that aims to preserve the history of the city. 16. Fine Dining - Let's just face it, Tokyo is one of the best cities in the world for high class dining - atmosphere, presentation, food, it's all just stunning! 17. Akihabara Electric Town (秋葉原電気街) - If you love electronics and gaming, you're going to love the area of Akihabara. You'll also find those infamous maid cafes here. 18. Tokyo Stock Exchange (東京証券取引所) - Another free attraction in Tokyo is to be a guest at the stock exchange where you can see the Japanese Nikkei being traded. 19. Roppongi (六本木) - Home to the Mori Art Museum and a hotspot for nightlife in the city, Roppongi is an exciting area of town. 20. Odaiba (お台場) - This area of Tokyo is full of things to do like Legoland, and Palette Town, an indoor amusement park. It's also known as Tokyo's entertainment island. 21. Yoyogi Park (代々木公園) - Located next to Meiji Shrine, and just a short distance from Harajuku and Shinjuku, this park is popular for exercise and dance. 22. Nezu (根津), Yanaka (谷中 (台東区) - Tokyo is a truly modern city, but there are a couple places like Nezu and Yanaka that have held strong to their traditional and cultural roots. 23. Onsen (温泉) - You've got to strip down naked before you can enter a Japanese public bath. 24. Mount Takao (高尾山) - Just 50 km from central Tokyo, this mountain is popular for climbing and is a sacred religious mountains. Makes a good day trip from Tokyo. 25. Food - Finally, food is the reason I visited Japan, and I think eating is by all means one of the best things to do in Tokyo. Food is everywhere, and not only does it taste amazing, but the care that goes into Japanese cuisine is incredible. Thank you very much for watching this video that includes some of the best things to do in Tokyo. I hope it will give you inspiration to visit and eat through this amazing city. I hope you missed me. - Because we've got a lot to see! Here's the trailer for the next phase of our neverending journey of despair. For those of you who didn't see my previous posts in the past weeks, I decided to take a break after the cycle and filming due to being at the brink of a mental and physical breakdown. (I mean, look at all the stuff we did in the bloody trailer!) And after resting for the first time since August, I now feel recharged and ready to do the series the justice it deserves. #JOURNEYACROSSJAPAN

Man Walks Across Japan To Create A GPS Marriage Proposal | PicBusters

02:33
Our PicBuster is about a very special marriage proposal in this instance. What Japan’s Yasushi Takahashi has come up with is just brilliant; in order to realize his idea, the 31-year-old started a journey of a lifetime. In his luggage a road map and a GPS device that stores current geographical position at regular intervals. Let’s go! Yasushi starts to walk, he walks through roads, forests, rough terrain, he walks and walk and walks, days, weeks, months, from time to time he rides a bike, travels by car or by ferry across Japan. His Love Mission sends him from Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu in the south. His route is constantly recorded by a GPS device and he is on the road for six long months until he returns to Tokyo, covering an incredible 7,163.7 km on the way. But what has his month long journey got to do with a marriage proposal? Along the way Yasushi’s route was saved by his GPS device. As he analyzes the data on Google Earth the following becomes visible ... our PicBuster shows the greatest proof of love ever. The words "Marry me" are written all over Japan. The gigantic GPS artwork is crowned by a huge heart on the island of Hokkaido. He would have needed much longer had he created this work with Japanese characters, but the English version is enough to guarantee Yasushi an entry in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest GPS drawing. Now for the all-important question, how did his girlfriend react to this ingenious marriage proposal? Today, the two are happily married and have formed a family, because such a brilliant application clearly deserves a happy ending. ================================== If you like this video, share, like, comment & don't forget to subscribe for more content! Inside The Studio Ghibli Museum + Tokyo Cat Cafe! | Solo Travel Japan Vlog

10:56
Even though you may not be allowed to film or take photos inside the Studio Ghibli Museum, I found an a-okay way to still share with you a little of what's inside of this notoriously-hard-to-get-tickets-to museum - watch for the reveal! What I will say now, is that if you're a fan of Studio Ghibli, this Tokyo-based museum NEEDS to be on your travel itinerary (just make sure you buy your tickets well in advance - like MONTHS in advance!). You can watch an exclusive museum-only short film in their cinema, wander through room replicas of Hayao Miyazaki and his team's animation studios, and even see a lifesize Cat Bus and eat Ghibli-themed meals in their cafe! If that wasn't cute enough, I also visited an adorable cat cafe in the nearby neighbourhood of Kichijoji - it is seriously a super kawaii way to spend an afternoon! Let me know what your favourite Studio Ghibli film is in the comments! Mine is Spirited Away, but I also love Howl's Moving Castle and My Neighbour Totoro 🌱 SUBSCRIBE // http://bit.ly/2lv49uD ___ // IN THIS VIDEO Paddlers Coffee // http://bit.ly/2JlRomt Ghibli Museum // http://bit.ly/2w3bSI2 Cat Cafe Temari no Ouchi // http://bit.ly/2JnbpZW Delicaondoru Shin Okubo // http://bit.ly/2Ee3lX6 ___ // Let's get to know each other!
