Her passion for simple, yet effective solutions has earned her clients’ trust and respect in a town where beauty, health, and wellness standards are high. Shani began her career as a licensed esthetician alongside distinguished dermatologist Dr. Erma Benitez, known for her in-depth clinical assessments of severe acne and ability to put patients on a pathway to recovery. In this environment, Shani gained extensive knowledge of acne and other extreme skin conditions that serves as the foundation for her uniquely transformational methods. Next, Shani advanced in the luxurious spas and reputable clinics of Los Angeles with tenures at Argyle Salon and Spa, Le Spa by Sofitel, and Kinara Skin Care Clinic. These experiences honed Shani’s understanding of active ingredients in both professional and retail products, inspiring her to incorporate anti-aging and “above-maintenance” procedures within the scope of her treatments. Here, she also developed her straightforward but caring style of communication that’s now the hallmark of the exceptional customer service her clients know and love. In 2013, Shani launched her eponymous skin care line exclusive to shanidarden.com and specialty boutiques. Drawing from years of clinical expertise and training in the latest skin care innovations, Shani first developed Retinol Reform with real people in mind. Created as a simple, elegant, and versatile product for different skin types, which provides the benefits of retinol without the drawbacks, it’s no wonder this serum quickly became a cult classic. Shani then expanded upon this philosophy, formulating new transformational skin care products that are easy to use and deliver attainable results. Shani’s ability to treat a wide range of skin care conditions — from acne and rosacea to pigmentation, sun damage, and aging skin — while enhancing existing looks makes her an invaluable asset to her clients. Her custom treatments, coupled with her home care regimen, keep clients looking flawless and coming back for years.

A California native, I was just out of college when I moved halfway around the world to live in South Korea. I soon discovered that Korea had a skin-first philosophy—they believe that taking good care of your skin should be enjoyable, and see it as an investment in your overall well-being. My own journey to understand Korean skin care made me a believer and I was passionate to share what I had learned. This led my husband Dave and I to found Soko Glam in 2012. I’ve since earned my esthetician license, bringing the best of both Western and Korean practices to skin care. Through the Soko Glam community, I’ve heard personal stories from women (and men!) of all ages and cultures who decided to follow the Korean skin care routine and have seen their skin—and confidence—change for the better, which is such an extremely rewarding and fulfilling feeling. My hope is that learning about beauty from a Korean perspective will change the way you think about your skin and how you treat it—and have fun along the way! Join our community to learn about the latest beauty trends, product reviews and skin care tips. Before you know it, you’ll be excited to start a Korean skin care routine, and once you see the results you won’t want to stop. There will always be more to research and new ingredients to know, but it’s great to feel that you’re the expert on your own skin and working hard to get it to be the healthiest it can be. For more tips seek out THE KLOG or my book, The Little Book of Skin Care: Korean Beauty Secrets for Healthy, Glowing Skin. Thanks for your support! Wife and husband co-founders Charlotte and David Cho launched Soko Glam in 2012 to help our customers discover Korean cosmetics, beauty trends, and skin care routines. Based in New York City, the Soko Glam team travels to Seoul regularly to scour the Korean skin care and makeup market, consult industry experts, and meet tastemakers to bring back the best selection of Korean beauty products for curation on Soko Glam. Known for popularizing the 10-Step Korean Skin Care Routine in the West and beyond, Soko Glam has been featured in major publications including The New York Times, Vogue, Allure, Into The Gloss, and more, helping you adapt the Korean “skin-first” philosophy to your daily routine. https://sokoglam.com/pages/behind-soko-glam https://sokoglam.com/products/cosrx-triple-c-lightning-liquid

A Day in the Life of Mikaela Shiffrin American World Cup Alpine Ski Racer on Mammoth Mountain

Subscribe today! ASPEN, Colo. — “Is my career ahead of schedule?” Mikaela Shiffrin, the precocious Olympic and world ski racing champion, asked here on Monday, her 22nd birthday. “No, I don’t think I’ll ever believe I’m ahead of schedule.” That is truly bad news for the other women’s ski racers of the world. Shiffrin, before even racing in the finals this weekend, won the women’s World Cup overall title, the sport’s top prize, which is a monumental achievement at any age. Shiffrin had built a nearly insurmountable lead in the season-long World Cup standings, and on Friday, her only remaining competitor, Ilka Stuhec, withdrew from Saturday’s slalom, handing the overall title to Shiffrin, who becomes only the third American woman to win it, and the first since 1983 not named Lindsey Vonn. If this isn’t overachieving, what would it look like if she were? Some of her colleagues and competitors, thunderstruck by the swiftness of her rise to the top, have been wondering the same thing. “If she stays healthy, she’s the one that has the best chance of having the most World Cup wins of all time,” said Ted Ligety, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time world champion. Continue reading the main story Advertisement Continue reading the main story Said Stuhec of Slovenia, who has had a breakout season and still trails Shiffrin by 278 points: “You do ask: What else can she do next?” The World Cup record of 86 victories, set by Ingemar Stenmark in 1989, was once considered unassailable. Shiffrin, who finished second in the women’s slalom here on Saturday, already has 31 individual World Cup victories, or three more than Stenmark, and 27 more than Vonn, at the same age. Recently, much attention has been focused on Vonn, who is nine victories short of Stenmark’s achievement. Vonn, 32, may yet catch him, but as Ligety said: “I think Stenmark really has got to be worried about Mikaela. I could see her chugging along for a long time to come.” Shiffrin’s haul of Olympic medals could eventually be historic as well. Barring injury, Shiffrin will be the prohibitive favorite to defend her slalom title at the 2018 Winter Olympics, and she will be a prime gold medal contender in two other events: the giant slalom and the Alpine combined. Contending for a medal in the super-G is possible, too, and racing in the Olympic downhill is not out of the question, either. The three gold medals won by Janica Kostelic of Croatia at the 2002 Salt Lake Games is the record for Alpine gold medals won by a woman at one Olympics. Kostelic and Anja Pärson of Sweden are tied for most career Olympic Alpine medals of any kind by a woman, with six — another mark potentially within Shiffrin’s reach. “In time, and maybe sooner than anyone thought, Shiffrin can win in every event,” said Aksel Lund Svindal, a three-time Olympic medalist and two-time overall World Cup champion. Shiffrin does not shy from such talk, even if she will not initiate it. The world’s best women’s slalom skier since she was 17, Shiffrin can be convincingly emphatic about her broader ambitions. “When I was a little girl, I didn’t dream of being the best slalom skier in the world,” she said here Monday in a chalet at the Aspen base. “I dreamed of being the best skier in the world. Period.” This was supposed to be the winter when Shiffrin took baby steps into the exalted territory formerly occupied by Vonn, the four-time overall winner. Shiffrin was expected to gently test her versatility in the more speedy and dangerous events. Instead, she has crashed the party, winning three giant slaloms and one Alpine combined, in just the second time she had competed in that event. Within the skiing community, it has been easy to see a more than symbolic passing of the torch. That is especially true in the United States since the dominant American ski stars of this century — Vonn, Ligety, Julia Mancuso and Bode Miller — have all been hobbled by serious, debilitating injuries this season. Shiffrin will not easily admit to seeing that handwriting on the wall. The closest she will come to acknowledging that she has ascended to a newfound place in her sport, and gained American fame, is a story she related about shopping near her hometown, Eagle-Vail, Colo., last month. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/17/sports/mikaela-shiffrin-world-cup-ski-racing.html?_r=0

I love traditional family-style food with a healthy twist. So I might do spaghetti and meatballs, but I’ll make the meatballs out of turkey, add spinach, and use oatmeal instead of bread crumbs. 3. In your new cookbook, you credit clean eating and changing your diet with helping you keep some health issues in check. Tell us more about that. This cookbook was really personal for me. As I started to make healthier choices in my own life, I saw things — like my endometriosis or my migraines — be put at bay. And that was amazing to me. So I wrote this book based on the concept that food can be medicine in its own way; that it can worsen or help with an existing condition. That was my experience, and I’m hoping that writing about it can help others too. 4. What would you say to readers who want to start eating healthier but feel like they don’t know where to start? Honestly, that was me. I was told not to eat dairy — after I’d been eating it my whole life — and it was overwhelming. But two things really helped: first, changing perception. Believing in the idea that food can fuel you, because if you don’t believe it to begin with, you won’t put any action behind it. Second, start slow. Find recipes that you can identify with, then just test them out and see how they make you feel. For me, I immediately started feeling less sluggish, and that was enough to make me want to explore more. 5. You have a 5-year-old son, Cree. Has he changed the way you cook and eat? Yes! He’s made the kitchen even more fun. I love to incorporate him into making stuff, and I know he’s more likely to enjoy it that way. If you hand a kid a green juice, they’ll just stare at it. But if you have them in the kitchen making it with you, they’ll really get into it. 6. Best tip for parents who are raising picky eaters? Introduce them to new foods at a young age. Kids only know what you put in front of them. 7. You’ve dabbled with veganism in the past. What were your biggest takeaways from giving up meat and dairy for a bit? I went vegan for a while because I wanted to detox. I’d started to feel sluggish every day because I was overworking myself. And I knew, just from experimenting with food in the past, that plant-based foods gave me more energy. But I ultimately stopped [being vegan] because I’m anemic, so I need a good amount of protein in my diet. Everybody’s different, but that’s what I needed to do for me. 8. Quick-fire! Last show you binge-watched on Netflix? The OA. 9. If you could be on any reality show on TV, which one would you pick? The Amazing Race. 10. And who would your partner be? My brother Tahj. I don’t think my husband would survive! 11. What’s the deal with those Sister, Sister reunion rumors? Let’s just say… that we’re working on them not being rumors any longer. 12. So the wheels are in motion?! [laughs] We’re putting things in motion. At the same time, anything can happen because it’s business — but we’re definitely trying to make the fans happy here. 13. Favorite lipstick that you know won’t budge? Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick. My go-to is a bold red — it’s lasted through entire spin classes. 14. One junk food you know you could never give up? Red velvet anything. So good! 15. Favorite food to cook with that comes in a can? Coconut milk. 16. Favorite emoji? ️️️️17. Workout of choice? Yoga. I do it every day. It tackles everything: body, mind, breathing. We hold our emotions in our muscles, and for me, yoga’s the best way to release and reset. 18. Who is your celebrity girl crush? Lilly Singh. https://www.buzzfeed.com/melissaharrison/tia-mowry-on-clean-eating-her-new-cookbook-and-a-sister-sist?utm_term=.ciA4nXO0k#.eigmzRNXL

Her first appearance on television was as a guest star on the Disney Channel show, Austin & Ally. In 2015, she appeared as Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen, in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Descendants.[3][4] In 2016, she appeared as Lola Perez in Adventures in Babysitting, Melanie Sanchez in Tini: The Movie and Tessa in A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits. Carson was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida,[2] to José F. Daccarett and Laura Char Carson, who had moved there from Colombia.[1][5] She chose the artistic name "Carson" after her American maternal grandmother, Lauraine Carson.[6] Through her mother, Carson is related to the Char family of Colombian politicians.[1][7] She attended St. Hugh School and graduated from Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami.[8][9] She subsequently attended UCLA, majoring in communications with a minor in French.[9][10] Sofia Carson danced at MVSA or Maria Verdeja School of the Arts.[citation needed] In 2011, Carson sang alongside a number of Colombian singers, including Totó la Momposina and Jorge Celedón, at the inauguration of the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Barranquilla, Colombia.[11][12] In 2012, Carson was signed with BMI as a "singer-songwriter".[13] Her acting career was launched in 2014 when she was cast as guest star, playing Chelsea, on the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally. A few months later, Carson was cast as recurring guest star, playing Soleil, on MTV's series Faking It. In 2014, she was cast in a starring role in the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants,[4] in which she plays Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen from Snow White.[3][14] On January 9, 2015, Carson was cast in the co-lead role in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie Adventures in Babysitting. Filming began in spring 2015, for an early 2016 television premiere.[15] In March 2016, the Hollywood Reporter announced that Carson landed the leading role in the latest installment of the A Cinderella Story series, A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits, directed by Michelle Johnston and produced by Dylan Sellers, which will be released direct-to-DVD[16][17] In an August 2015 interview Carson stated she was working on her first album.[18] In sometime around September 1, 2015, Carson was added on the list of Hollywood Records artists.[19] Previously, some of Disney Channel Europe websites reported the incorporation of Sofia to the label.[20][21] In March 2016, Hollywood Records and Republic Records officially announced that Sofia had signed a joint worldwide record deal with both companies. Her debut single is "Love Is the Name", an interpolation of Opus' "Live Is Life", and was released on April 8.[22][23] Carson released a promotional single on August 26, 2016 entitled "I'm Gonna Love You". In February 15, 2017 she released the official music video for a song entitled "Back To Beautiful" featuring Alan Walker on YouTube. It has gathered over 2 million views. Carson has performed in the NBC's 2015 Thanksgiving Parade, ABC's Disney Parks Christmas Celebration, Univision's Feliz 2016 (New Year's Eve Special) and the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards and was a presenter in the ABC's Disneyland 60th Anniversary Special. Inside Ruby Sterling Exhibit at Gagosian from Calvin Klein

Fashion Snapz is your daily dose of what is happening in fashion NOW with a behind-the-scenes view of tutorials, techniques and interviews! Find the latest in fashion trends here daily! Subscribe today! Today, Calvin Klein’s social media channels have been infiltrated by artwork from Sterling Ruby. On the brand’s Instagram stories, white font on a yellow background begs the question: “Is this what the inside of your head looks like? ‘Probably,’ shrugs Ruby Sterling.” A handful of colorful, mixed media sculptures by the artist follows, along with a black and white portrait of Ruby. The brand’s Instagram feed is also covered in creations by Ruby, including the various bits and bobs that dangled above models at the February fashion show, held at the company’s Garment District HQ. That hanging installation included baseball bats, mufflers, flags, that iconic Calvin Klein underwear elastic and, apparently, a bra or two. The account also included a slideshow of pictures that provide a few angles of how he redesigned the brand’s showroom on the 12th floor of the same building, at 205 West 39th Street. He apparently redid the walls, produced a mini-scale hanging installation and introduced some colorful, geometric display tables. “Calvin Klein is an American platform, and I wanted to treat this company as an American brand, almost pitted against these big luxury houses,” Ruby explained in a blog post on the Calvin Klein site. “It has interesting combinations that luxury companies do not usually have; there are opportunities to have highs and lows. There’s a behavior and an attitude related to it, it’s dirty gossip and hot sex!” The last part, the site points out, is a joke. However, the rest seems to be a view that the artist must surely share with Raf Simons. He happens to be his close friend, his frequent collaborator, former creative director at Dior and the current chief creative officer at Calvin Klein (which you surely already knew). Calvin Klein, the iconic Americana brand, has become one of Ruby’s biggest supporters. It’s obvious that they’ve garnered that status due to Simons’ pre-existing relationship with the American artist. The fashion designer was a collector of Ruby’s work first, then a friendship followed; they’ve been pals for over 10 years at this point. Their first fashion collaboration took place in January 2014, when Ruby put his collaborative touch on Simons’ namesake brand. In fact, both of their names appeared on the tags of the heavily collaged clothing. And some of the American flag motifs that adorned that men’s runway show echoed the tasseled flags seen decorating this season’s multi-gender Calvin runway. “When we worked together, it was almost like being married,” Simons told W about that first partnership. “The collection grew out of years of talking—so many similarities between us, so many shared interests. It was a really natural thing to do.” The timing of Calvin Klein’s Ruby push just happens to coincide with the artist’s two-week exhibit at Gagosian, which just opened on March 1. However, it looks like his work with Calvin Klein is far from over. According to a release from the brand, the second part of his artwork series will be revealed later this year. Lest you forget, Ruby’s work was also included in the first ad campaign produced under Simons’ discerning eye. “It is an acknowledgment of the incredible work of Sterling, both for Calvin Klein and in general,” Simons said. “He is always surprising, always exhilarating, and always moving forward—and yet he is always, ultimately, himself.” http://observer.com/2017/03/by-default-calvin-klein-has-become-sterling-rubys-1-fan/

Will and Jaden, as well as Will's other son Trey, all attended Paris Fashion Week last night for the opening of Louis Vuitton's boutique at Place Vendôme. Just a few hours after the event began, with Jaden warming up the crowd with a solo performance (dressed head to toe in L.V.), no one would have expected that Will would yet again join forces with Jazzy Jeff for the fashion celebration singing big hits like “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It,” “Summertime” and “Miami.” The crowd was obviously going wild, where Will was responsive and playful seen grabbing phones from the crowd and taking selfies with those in attendance.“She just looked at me like, ‘You better take a picture with me,’” he joked. He then performed the hit "Just The Two Of Us" which is famously based on his older son, Trey. “I wrote this right after we got home — for the first time in my life I had a baby, and it was crazy,” he said. We shared a video in the summer of Jazzy Jeff and Will in the studio where they followed up with two European show dates. Jazzy Jeff is currently on tour, we'll just have to see if Will will make any other appearances along the way. One of Will's most popular movies, Men In Black, is about to have an official spinoff in the upcoming years. We reported last week that the Steven Spielberg executively produced film will follow new characters that are based on the iconic Agents K and J - played by Tommy Lee Jones and Will. https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/will-smith-and-jaden-smith-perform-at-louis-vuitton-store-launch-news.37972.html

Subscribe today! Now, after what feels like forever (in reality, it's been since only January that they announced the collab), we've finally got a first look at every single product in the collection. I caught up with Blandino and Johnson in Orlando ahead of the launch, which officially lands at Ulta on September 3, to learn more about the products, their pro tips on how to use them, and swatch the hell out of everything I could get my hands on. (The samples are still so exclusive the brand doesn't even have produced photos of each of the individual products yet.) Take a look at all the new products in the collection, below. As promised, the puns are delicious. Too Faced I Want Kandee Candy Eyes Palette, $45 Blandino already revealed this in one of his famous "sneaky peeks," but here's what you haven't heard about it yet. The palette is shaped like a vintage chocolate tin, and (shocker) it smells like chocolate. "These are my go-tos that will look good on everybody," Johnson says. "They're easy, not complicated. I'm not teaching you how to do an Easter-egg eye. Most people don't go out wearing that kind of makeup. I wanted for people to be able to go out every day and look pretty." As for her favorite shades? "My two must-haves are Licorice Rope, because you always need a good black," Johnson says. "Even if you do a liquid liner, putting black shadow over it helps soften the line out and makes it look smoother and more perfected. And then I wanted a good collection of base colors. The Banana Cream Pie base with the yellow tones [far left, at bottom] was important because our eyelids are so thin that anytime you have yellow in an eyeshadow base, it's going to knock the purple and redness out." Personally, the shimmer shades were my favorite, and this is coming from someone who is usually not crazy about glitter. I'd probably tap them on the center of a neutral eye or smudge them into my lash line. Too Faced I Want Kandee Candy Glow Highlighter Stick, $30 There's much to love about this highlighter: It's a stick, it glides on, and even though it's the color of cotton candy, it really does look gorgeous on. "I don't like when a highlighter looks like a bronzer on your face," Johnson says. "A lot are almost too golden. This is pretty on light and dark skin tones because it blends easily. It's sparkly but doesn't look crazy." Too Faced I Want Kandee Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks, $21 each The collab comes with a quad of colors, all sold individually. Melted Ice Cream (a pale beige and Johnson's favorite), Freshly Baked (a pinky brown), Sweet and Sour (a red orange), and Tropical Punch (a bright fuchsia). "I love Melted Ice Cream because you can put it on with lip liner or add it to any of these colors and it becomes a totally new shade," Johnson says. "No matter what I'm wearing, I always dab this color right in the center and on the top. I take my finger and tap it inward—some people just pat and blend out—but if you press and go in, that's what makes your lips look fuller and more rounded." On its own, it's pretty light (and probably works best on very pale skin tones), but it blended pretty easily for that Insta-lip look. Oh, and they all taste like crème brûlée. Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Brightening Powder, $30 You'd think the palette would be the most exciting of the collection, but nope, if there was one thing both Blandino and Johnson couldn't shut up about it was this: a yellow-tinted brightening powder that helps color-correct dark areas, mainly under your eyes. "You want the part under your eye to look flat in photos," Johnson says. "So when you put the yellow powder underneath, it knocks out those blue and purple tones to make you look more rested and awake. I'd use a sponge or a brush to apply it, but if you're in a rush you can even use your fingers to tap it on—even if your makeup is already done. I always do that right before a photo shoot." Too Faced I Want Kandee Candy Liner, $18 Meet the answer to your cat-eye problems and difficult-to-pull-off Insta hacks. "This eyeliner is like a tattoo. It doesn't come off," says Johnson. "It has a special applicator with a flat edge, so you can just stick your wing and then fill it in. It's great for beginners." When I (a cat-eye inept) tried it out, it wasn't quite as easy as stamp-and-go, but the line did go on much sharper than if I tried to free hand. True to her word, the formula didn't budge but did come off easily with remover. http://www.glamour.com/story/too-faced-kandee-johnson-i-want-candy-collection-review

From her daring Instagram presence to her infamous see-through mesh gown at the 2014 CFDA Awards, Rihanna has never had a problem with #FreeTheNipple, the social media movement advocating for less censorship of women's bodies. And Rih's Fenty X Puma show, dubbed "Fenty University," gave Paris Fashion Week an anatomy lesson on Monday, as models sported collegiate-inspired designs and walked on study tables in the National Library of France. The first model of the show flashed her chest as she walked the runway in a plaid jacket and shorts, showing off a tattoo very similar to Rih's own sternum ink. Rihanna, who served as the creative director behind the line, greeted the crowd at the end of the show swaddled in a neon-yellow coat. While Cara Delevingne, debuting a new silver hairstyle, sat next to Nick Jonas in the front row. n an interview with Vogue last year, Rihanna advocated for selectively showing skin. “I have always freed the nipple,” she said. "But CFDAs was the last time that I did that. I remember saying that day to my stylist and everybody in the room, hair and makeup, everyone—I was just like, 'Now you see it. Tomorrow you won’t.'" Subscribe today! It might still be spring, but summer has officially arrived in the makeup world. If you thought all of the trendy collections and innovative products were good so far, you haven't seen anything yet. Anastasia Beverly Hills' Summer Collection is all about the eye, lip, and cheek color. It even includes a few permanent additions to the site as well. Here's everything you need to know about the launch, so you don't miss a thing. When ABH does something, they do it big. Their Summer Collection is no different. It all started with a social media announcement that there will be 12 new single eyeshadows being added to the website. Then the brand slowly started posting more new products on their Instagram. All in all, there will be 10 glosses, 12 single eyeshadows, and five blush trios hitting the website. That's two already loved products and a brand new launch? It doesn't get much better than that. According to Instagram, all of the products will be available on the ABH website on May 16 and online retailers on June 13. The eyeshadows and blush trios will be permanent additions to the website too. While I still wouldn't wait to stock up on these incredible summer shades, it is nice knowing that they'll stick around for a while. The most exciting part of the launch are the brand new Blush Trios. This is the first time that ABH has debuted their blushes, and it's in a big way. They're rolling out 15 shades, but the best part is that you can get three at the same time. Each trio is $30 each, which breaks down to $10 a blush. That's completely worth the price, IMO. The glosses might look a little more familiar. A few of them are from ABH's Summer/Fall Gloss Set, while others are completely new to the website. The social media announcement didn't state whether or not these will be permanent edition to the website, like the other products. Considering that the glosses are $16 each, I really hope they are so everyone can save up for their favorite shades. Last, but definitely not least, is the brand new shadows. These eyeshadows will join the 104 other single pans currently available on the ABH website. Needless to say, I think that brand did a pretty great job with their Summer Collection. https://www.bustle.com/p/whats-in-anastasia-beverly-hills-summer-collection-it-covers-all-the-basics-56971

Kylie Jenner Unveils Kshadow Bronze Palette and Personally Does Make Up Tutorial

08:16
Subscribe to Fashion Snapz! Kylie Jenner, is on a mission to take over the beauty world. After releasing three new shades of her Kylie Lip Kit, Jenner is starting this week off with an announcement that she'll be releasing her very own eye-shadow palette, a first ever for Kylie Cosmetics. The Kyshadow Palette is a collection of nine powder shadows, most of which fall in the bronzy family. "I love bronze colors and browns," Jenner says. "All of the makeup artists who work with me know that I'm very specific about the browns that go on my eye, and I really feel like I perfected it with this palette." Fittingly, she called it The Bronze Palette. This isn't the first time you've seen these colors. In a video she released on her website, Jenner admits she's been secretly wearing the shadows for months. "This palette is literally my baby," says Jenner. "I’ve been using it every day for the past five or six months. Every Snapchat and Instagram you’ve seen me in, I’ve been wearing this palette." And Jenner's not just good at keeping secrets—she's also good at building a well-balanced makeup palette. In addition to adding a highlighting shade (always key in an eye-shadow palette) and a very dark hue (for enhancing smoky-eye looks), she threw an unexpected—but not unnecessary—shade into the mix: muted orange. "The color orange was very important for me to put in my palette. I feel like orange really makes the [other] colors pop." It's true. At the end of the video, when her makeup artist Ariel Tejada demonstrates how to use every color in the palette, he says that he likes to use the orange hue (Citrine) to add dimension to a look. "Some people would be really afraid to use the color orange to blend through their lower lash line, but I just think it adds a little bit of warmth and enhances the eye color," he says. This certainly won't be Jenner's last foray into eye makeup (how else will she achieve full beauty-industry domination?). "This is my first eye-shadow palette," she says at the end of the video. "I made two other fun eye-shadow palettes that you're going to see before next year." When exactly the Kyshadow Palette (or the other two) will be available and how much it's going to cost you are as vague as Jenner's ending remarks, but what is for certain is that it won't be available for very long. http://www.allure.com/beauty-trends/blogs/daily-beauty-reporter/2016/07/kylie-jenner-eyeshadow-palette.html

Meryl Streep and Lily Collins Honored at the Costume Designers Guild Awards | Inside with Glamour

"What I'm trying to say — and it's time that someone said it — she's a complete bitch," James Corden joked at the Costume Designers Guild Awards on Tuesday, recalling the first time he met Meryl Streep in a restaurant and she asked him to bring her the lemon-crusted salmon, mistaking him for a waiter. (He explained that they would be co-stars for Into the Woods.) "Now, listen, I disagree with almost everything that Donald Trump has ever said, but, when he tweeted that ..." The Late Late Show host said, poking fun at the time the president called Streep an "overrated" actress. "It's great to see someone like Meryl finally be recognized with an award." Streep's latest honor is the Costume Designers Guild's Distinguished Collaborator Award. "This is going to be a door stop for the Golden Globe room," Corden quipped of the much-lauded Streep. Though recognized often for her work as an actress (she's a best actress Oscar nominee for her latest, Florence Foster Jenkins), it turns out Streep's original interest was costume design. (Who knew?!) "It means a lot to me, and not because I wanted to be a costume designer, which I did, but because my mother really wanted to be a costume designer," said the 67-year-old star, clad in a fuchsia Valentino gown, as she accepted her award. "Halloween was like the run-up to fashion week in our house. She was so inventive." That's why Streep says she enjoys working with costume designer Ann Roth ("she has that kind of invention"), who was at the awards ceremony, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "It’s amazing that I could share that moment of creation — it’s so hard, you never see it in a movie. They never really get that right. That moment of creation, of it coming alive," Streep said of her first time collaborating with Roth on Mike Nichols' Silkwood (1983). "To be in a room with Ann, and to share that mutual ... it’s like a happy surprise, like a simultaneous orgasm. It is a tiny miracle every time that happens," Streep teased. "I have to be very careful to tell Ann that I have had it with other people ... Albert [Wolsky], Colleen [Atwood] and so many wonderful designers that have really given all these great characters. I'm so grateful for this, and I do honor your artistry. I wish I could do it." The awards show, hosted by Mandy Moore, honored Jeffrey Kurland (Erin Brockovich, Ocean's Eleven) with the Career Achievement Award and Lois DeArmond (Minority Report, American Sniper) with the Distinguished Service Award. Bob Mackie also paid tribute to his longtime collaborator Ret Turner, who died at age 87 last year. The evening's winners can be found here. After attending the CDGA five years ago to honor the late Mirror Mirror costume designer Eiko Ishioka, Lily Collins returned to receive the LACOSTE Spotlight Award, which was presented to by her Last Tycoon co-star Matt Bomer. Collins, who expressed gratitude to all the designers she's worked with over the years, including Wolsky, Janie Bryant, Maria Tortu and Daniel Orlandi, noted that she's always been a fan of clothes. "I did a show when I was 2 years old in England, and I was put in a new outfit one day on set and then I was proceeded to have fake throw up thrown on me," recalled Collins, who stunned at the event in a sequined Alexander McQueen gown. "And my main concern was my new white shoes. I felt bad for the costume designer. At age 2, my main concern was shoes, so we know I've always been into fashion. I've always seen it as the ultimate form of self expression." Since then, the 27-year-old actress has learned a thing or two from working with different costume designers. "Albert Wolsky did Rules Don't Apply with me and he would come up and he'd alter millimeters or centimeters, and even the smallest amount of alteration changes your body shape," Collins told The Hollywood Reporter. "And it can make something go from being either too mature or too frumpy and all of a sudden, you're like, 'You just transformed my body. It's all about proportion," Collins added. "His eye for detail was so specific and amazing that if you're attuned to that, all of a sudden, you can wear something and not have something wear you." Spoken like a true style star. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/meryl-streep-lily-collins-honored-at-costume-designers-guild-awards-978390

Alexandra Shulman LIVE Q&A On Leaving British Vogue Magazine after 25 Years & the Future

16:23
Subscribe to Fashion Snapz! It was a departure that one of her colleagues described as “rather stylish”, coming exactly 25 years and a day since Alexandra Shulman’s appointment as editor of British Vogue – and a century after the fashion bible was founded. With both a style and magazine described as a “very British”, Shulman’s departure also marks the end of a rivalry much-loved by fashion journalists between her and the equally British Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of US Vogue and said to be the model for the terrifying Meryl Streep character in The Devil Wears Prada. In departing, Shulman indicated that recent ventures beyond the magazine – a behind-the-scenes BBC documentary, Absolutely Fashion, and a well-received book, Inside Vogue: A Diary of My 100th Year – had made her realise there was a life beyond a magazine she had edited since the age of 34.“I realised that I very much wanted to experience a different life and look forward to a future separate to Vogue,” she said. During Shulman’s tenure at Vogue –circulation has increased 12% to 195,053 in the past 25 years –she has championed both British fashion and London fashion week, now one of the “big four” fashion events. She has a reputation for supporting British designers without quite fitting the image of a perfectly stylish fashion editor. While other international Vogue editors such as Wintour in the US and Carine Roitfeld in France are considered icy style icons, Shulman laughingly told the Guardian of being presented in one feature as the “chain-smoking 50-year-old Toyota-driving divorcee”. When she was appointed it was suggested that she “could become better acquainted with a hairbrush”, according to the New York Times. But Shulman used her reputation to define her magazine. “She was never starry in a very conscious way. It was quite British, just like her magazine,” said one senior colleague. While US Vogue is known for its glossy and expensive US sportswear shoots, the British edition is considered more creative and original, even bohemian. Although the rivalry with Wintour is real, according to magazine insiders, it is entirely professional. In the BBC documentary Shulman is shown scooping a planned Wintour exclusive by putting Rihanna on the cover. “It’s all journalistic pride. They get on fine,” said one senior colleague. Plum Sykes, contributing editor of US Vogue who started her career as a junior assistant under Shulman in the 1990s, said: “She is very British, very laid-back. I am sure her Manolos are muddy. But she has done a good job, especially for British fashion.” Shulman has said: “It does amaze me when people say ‘Well, you don’t look like the editor of Vogue’. Because I am the editor of Vogue. So what else does the editor of Vogue look like?” Alexandra Shulman: UK fashion's chief advocate – and its vocal critic Read more In an interview with the Observer she also talked openly about using Xanax to deal with panic attacks. Given that her life might appear “sort of lovely and easy” to outsiders, she said: “I think it’s quite good to show you’ve had bad things happen as well.” Turning 60 later this year, those close to Shulman said she was still to decide what she would do next. A former newspaper columnist who wrote her first novel, Can We Still Be Friends, a few years ago, she is The oldest of three children brought up in Belgravia, she attended St Paul’s school in London. After a degree in social anthropology from the University of Sussex she worked briefly for two recording labels before becoming a secretary at Over 21 magazine. Her first journalistic job was at Tatler, also part of Condé Nast and which had also employed her brother as art director. Within eight years she was editing men’s magazine GQ, where she increased sales by 30%, and two years after that she was made editor of Vogue. Her mother, Drusilla Beyfus, was Vogue associate editor in the 70s while her father, Milton Shulman, had been Vogue film critic, prompting Coleridge to say that Vogue was “almost in her blood” when she was appointed. Despite this, she has always told interviewers that having two parents who were journalists meant she had “wanted to be a hairdresser”, or a musician. In 2015 she wrote about how glad she was to return to work when her only son, now 21 and a history of art student, was 15 weeks old. Although she has refused to publish articles lauding diets or cosmetic surgery, Vogue has been no stranger to controversy. In the early 1990s a Kate Moss shoot was criticised for encouraging “heroin chic” and in 1997, the watchmaker Omega pulled an ad campaign because of the issue. Early on, Shulman appeared to dismiss these complaints by saying “Not many people have actually said to me that they have looked at my magazine and decided to become anorexic.” https://www.theguardian.com/media/2017/jan/25/british-vogue-editor-alexandra-shulman-to-step-down

Under Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel has made a habit of taking its Cruise collections on the road to fabulous destinations, from Cuba to Seoul, and drawing inspiration from the local culture and style. But if Lagerfeld can stage a rocket launch in the Grand Palais, as he did for Fall 2017, maybe he can also conjure the spirits of international style right at home in Paris. That he did today with a collection called “La Modernité de l’Antiquité” that raised ancient Greece from the past. Ionic columns rose in the Grand Palais, while a Greek sunset served as a painted backdrop. While you wait for Luke Leitch’s review, get the five things you need to know about Chanel Resort 2018 here. The Inspiration In Coco Chanel’s Rue Cambon apartment, a bust of Venus sat on the mantle. That served as Lagerfeld’s jumping-off point this season, with the designer saying, “The criteria of beauty in ancient, then classical, Greece still hold true. There have never been more beautiful representations of women. Or more beautiful columns. The entire Renaissance, in fact, was based on antiquity. It is really about the youth of the world in all its power and unpredictability.“ The Column Shoes Forget stiletto or block heels. Lagerfeld’s take on Greek style comes complete with Ionic column–heeled gladiator sandals. If history has taught us anything, it’s that Ionic columns are quite sturdy. The Pottery Dresses Red-and-black-figure-painted pottery was one of the most popular ways ancient Greeks depicted the human body in two dimensions. Lagerfeld reworked the motifs in column dresses with rows and rows of illustrations evoking the Greek originals. The Models Lagerfeld’s many muses came out today. Vogue cover star Vittoria Ceretti opened the show, followed by Kiki Willems, Binx Walton, Lindsey Wixson, Amanda Sanchez, and Arizona Muse. As always, Lagerfeld took his bow with his youngest model, Hudson Kroenig. The Goddesses If a breezy, wide silhouette defined the beginning of the presentation, the final looks were pure Venus. Bias-draped gowns in pale pink and cream with gold embellishments closed the show, worn by models with golden headbands and nymph-like waves. http://www.vogue.com/article/chanel-resort-2018-fashion-show

At Marie Claire’s Fresh Faces party on Friday night, celebrating the covers of Emily Ratajkowski, Alexandra Daddario, Janelle Monae, Zoey Deutch and Aja Naomi King at The Doheny Room in Los Angeles, the chatter was all about Coachella. “It was insane. I had no idea what to expect, and just the walk to get in alone is such a trek,” marveled first-timer Naomi King. “It’s an equal playing field; everyone’s gotta go through it.” The “How to get Away With Murder” actress said it great being introduced to bands she didn’t even know, such as Jack Garratt. “I’m always a bit late when it comes to music, so I’m sure this person’s already superfamous,” she laughed. It’s been a good year for the actress, who starred in “Birth of a Nation” and just finished filming “Untouchables” with Kevin Hart. “He’s so great in it. It’s truly unlike we’ve ever seen him before; it’s beautiful work, so grounded.” She said filming “was quite the insane experience” because of the number of fans he had in his hometown of Philadelphia. “We’d be shooting a scene outside and they’d be screaming his name the entire time. I was like, ‘How can you work like this?’ and he was just like, ‘I’m used to it.’” King is next off to shoot a film called “The Girl From Mogadishu” about a human rights activist, in Ireland, Belgium and Morocco, then returns for the next season of “Murder.” Of her packed schedule, she said, “It’s crazy but I love it because it’s what we signed up for.” Of choosing King and the other four Fresh Faces, Marie Claire editor in chief Anne Fulenwider said, “We try for a diverse crowd of women from music, film and TV who are hitting it. It doesn’t matter if you have a project hitting at that moment it’s just more a general feeling that they’re having a moment.” http://wwd.com/eye/parties/emily-ratajkowski-alexandra-daddario-marie-claire-fresh-faces-10873250/

How Aquazzura Edgardo Osorio Quickly Went From FN’s Emerging Talent To Designer of the Year It’s been only two years since Edgardo Osorio was recognized by Footwear News with the Vivian Infantino Emerging Talent award. But at warp speed since starting Aquazzura in 2011, he is no longer a rising but rather a fully realized designer, impressing the industry with his business momentum (with direct distribution in 52 countries and a recent tripling of staff) , retail expansion (five stores will open over the next 12 months, starting with Miami and New York City in December) and ability to kick-start major trends (bestsellers the Belgravia, the Sexy Thing and the Wild Thing). On the heels of news of his collaborations with Poppy Delevingne and Salvatore Ferragamo on dedicated capsule collections and a hallmark year, Footwear News will be honoring Osorio with Designer of the Year at the 29th annual FN Achievement Awards on Dec. 2. With past recipients including Gianvito Rossi, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin and Giuseppe Zanotti, he is in good company for the most prestigious recognition of the night. “I’m so excited. You can’t imagine how much this means to me. Especially since FN has been supporting me from the very beginning,” said Osorio over the phone from his well-appointed headquarters in Florence, Italy. And while the Cartegena, Colombia-born designer and company co-founder is serious about business, he also relishes his hard-won success. “When I was in New York earlier this year, looking for store space on Madison Avenue, I pinched myself because I couldn’t believe it,” said Osorio. “I feel so lucky and blessed. I turned 30 in November, and this is all a dream becoming a reality.” http://footwearnews.com/2015/fashion/designers/aquazurra-edgardo-osorio-designer-of-the-year-172668/

WELCOME TO GLAMLAND™ & THE WORLD OF GLAMGLOW® GLAMGLOW® was founded by Glenn & Shannon Dellimore in 2010 exclusively for backstage and professional use in Hollywood's Entertainment, Music, Fashion & Award industries. In 2011, GLAMGLOW® was made available for retail and has took the world by storm in the months that followed. Distribution has now increased to 86 countries with over 6,500 Luxury Retail Stores, Spa Back-Bars, Luxury Hotels, Airlines, and Cruise Lines. Over the past 6 years GLAMGLOW® has grown from a conversation into an incredible success story, having won a wealth of beauty awards, being granted a patent for our TEAOXI® real leaf technology and becoming globally recognized for fast-acting, innovative mud treatments that deliver instant, visible results. HOME IS WHERE THE STORY BEGINS... A few friends were gathered together at Glenn & Shannon's home in the Hollywood Hills overlooking Los Angeles, when an actor friend confided in them that he could not find a product that made his skin instantly camera ready, instantly pore-refining, instantly diminish visible imperfections, instantly reduce fine lines & instantly produce a noticeable glow that would last for days. This became a topic of conversation with Glenn & Shannon and the other three actors at the house. The verdict was unanimous, there was no convenient easy-to-use skincare product specifically designed for immediate and instant camera-ready skin. With the handful of willing well known actors as test subjects, Glenn & Shannon Dellimore set out to create a product just for their actor friends, not for sale to anyone, not for retail to anyone and not limited by any production costs. After much research, Glenn & Shannon started to formulate the product in their home, but the economy had just crashed two weeks after they had bought their house and just a few months before they were due to have their first baby, the last thing they needed was to spend $80 on buying ingredients to provide free little samples for friends. They decided to do it and after hand filling the product on their coffee table in their living room they handed out the samples to their four actor friends. A week later they all came back saying 'wow, that stuff really works' and asked for more for themselves and other actor friends. The little sample product containers had no name and no packaging, yet, were being requested by executives of major studios and other A list actors. A price was set for the small plain white sample containers and a small family factory was sourced to make their magic mud. With increasing requests, Glenn & Shannon began to sell the 'no name' magic mud to Hollywood studios, which provided the product to sound stages for use by actors and their make-up artists. A year went by and their product was being used on-set, all over Hollywood. One evening the phone rang and the Vice President of a major luxury retailer was on the line... "A friend of mine gave me your product to try and the results blew me away, I have my buyers on the phone too and we would like to retail your amazing product alongside the world's most luxurious brands..." That evening, in their living room, Glenn & Shannon pondered, and with a few plain pieces of paper, scissors, tape and a pen, they hand created a concept box design, concept finishes and brainstormed names...this was the birth of GLAMGLOW® and it was just the beginning. Anastasia of Beverly Hills: HOW TO USE LIQUID GLOW

We thought Anastasia Beverly Hills outdid itself with the last couple Glow Kits — nothing makes our cheekbones visible from Pluto quite like the Aurora or Nicole takes on the cult-favorite palettes. However, a brand-new formula is about to be added ABH's glow lineup. Spoiler alert: It's about to give you the dewiest glow you've ever experienced. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow is dropping this summer, and we got a sneak peek at the brand's first-ever liquid highlighter this weekend. The shimmery hint comes thanks to Claudia Soare, Anastasia's president and daughter of the cosmetic company's eponymous founder. She posted pictures on her personal Snapchat Story while on the photo shoot for the campaign. (It's her favorite social media platform for sneak peeks, BTW. I highly recommend that you follow her handle, Norvina.) Not only were we drooling over the summer locale as we tapped through the Story, we also couldn't get over how damn dewy and radiant the new liquid highlighter is. Usually, liquid highlighters give skin a subtle glow, but this one is all in your face — in the best way possible. It will come in handy when the temperatures start reaching the 90s and you can't avoid looking sweaty since this will make your dewy glow look completely intentional. Our first look at Liquid Glow was slathered all over the chest of a tattooed male model. The way the light reflected off him had us sold on the blinding powers of the new formula. http://www.allure.com/story/anastasia-beverly-hills-liquid-glow-highlighter-snapchat

Miranda Kerr, Dakota Johnson Attend Cartier Panthere Launch in Los Angeles Lily Collins, Kirsten Dunst, Sienna Miller, Sofia Coppola, Dita Von Teese and more joined the lavish fete at Milk Studios in Hollywood. It may have been Cinco de Mayo, but the Panthere de Cartier watch launch felt more like a Cannes Film Festival party as Kirsten Dunst, Dakota Johnson, Sienna Miller, and Lily Collins joined hosts Sofia Coppola, Cyrille Vigneron, chief executive officer of Cartier International, and Mercedes Abramo, president and ceo of Cartier North America, at Milk Studios in Los Angeles on Friday night. Cartier bellhops and trays of champagne welcomed guests in a space transformed to look like the inside of a swanky jewelry box complete with golden palm trees, a raw bar and catering by The French Laundry chef Thomas Keller. “I like these palm trees,” observed Miranda Kerr, who attended the Met Gala with Cartier earlier in the week. “They’re so timeless and elegant,” she said of the brand. However, the model didn’t plan on a night. “My son wakes up early,” she said. “I have to make sure I’m up with him.” “Apparently people are flying from all over the world to be here,” said French actress Julie Delpy. “It was a five minute drive for me,” she said. “I don’t know own any Cartier because I’m an independent filmmaker, so you know… that says it all. But I look at it. It’s a beautiful brand.” The Oscar-nominated writer and actress wore Vanessa Seward for the occasion. “She’s coming from Paris for the event,” she said. “She’s the one who invited me.” Though jet-lagged, Poppy Delevingne was going strong. “Everyone’s in a good mood,” she said. “There’s loud music, tequila — I’m very happy.” She soon admitted, “I just got off of a flight from London, so I’m going a bit mad.” The model-turned-actress said she’d be in town through Tuesday to attend the premiere of her new film “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” on Monday. “It’s a Guy Ritchie movie, so he’s given it a modern twist and it’s completely unexpected,” she said. Sasha Lane, clad in Stella McCartney, attended with her brother. “It’s always fun to get ready with him,” she said. “We were in the mirror trying on different outfits. I was like, ‘I need you to match me a little bit.’” The “American Honey” star recently wrapped “Shotgun” with writer/director Hannah Marks, but admitted was still relishing a role she’d played earlier in the week of “badass fairy goddess” wearing H&M at the Met Gala. Elsewhere, Dunst kept close to Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy; Johnson and Miller chatted by the bar; and Delevingne caught up with Dita von Teese and Dree Hemingway in a far corner of the room. Other guests included von Teese’s ex Marilyn Manson, LL Cool J, Mark Ronson, Russell Simmons, Haley Bennett, Rachel Zoe, Asia Chow, Olivia Culpo, Pom Klementieff, Sasha Spielberg and Fuchsia Kate Sumner. “I really like this energy,” Alicia Keys told the crowd, as she hit the stage following a performance by Lion Babe. “You ever been to a basement party? I don’t know if they do basement parties in L.A., but if they don’t let’s create one tonight. Let’s vibe a little bit right now.” With that, Keys launched into hits including “You Don’t Know My Name,” “If I ‘Aint Got You,” and “Fallin’.” Ashley Madekwe, whose husband Iddo Goldberg hammed it up for photos with shock rocker Manson, said she was happy to be out. “I didn’t know what Cinco de Mayo was until I moved to Los Angeles,” she laughed, between bites of caviar. “I definitely want to stick around for the performances, but I’m getting old and boring. I’ll probably go to bed right after this.” http://wwd.com/eye/parties/miranda-kerr-dakota-johnson-cartier-panthere-watch-party-la-los-angeles-10882728/
